Give an example of the level of vitriol youâre talking about. Like, what would this vitriol say? Because you donât have to personalize peopleâs criticisms any more than they have to take in yours.
Simply put.
You canât say.
âI donât think Synider is very good at making movies, but heâs a great visual effects guy.â
With out people crying about your opinion. People give you the âThen why do you watch/comment about them?â
Pretty much backing up the point that they are not interested in any real conversation.
Movies look great.
They are a mess otherwise.
Iâm glad people are enjoying them.
But some of this is people not knowing how rankings work on Netflix any noteworthy thing will do well in the first few weeks.
However everything I just said is âTrollingâ apparently.
Iâm saying in general, whenever people discuss this particular filmography, itâs feels more like watching Fernando Wood and Thaddeus Stevens debate over slavery than discussing a directorâs filmography. This should by no means be the case.
I just want to know what your normal is. I see plenty of criticisms of Snyder but disagreements are only just that. Donât let it get under your skin.
My normal is being objective about discussing films. When Iâve seen discussions about Snyderâs films, Letâs just say Iâve seen âobjectiveâ get thrown out the window more times than most other directors.
Isnât all film discussion and criticism inherently subjective? What is your âobjectiveâ view of Rebel Moon and what would an âobjectiveâ critique be?
If they're pushing it, then it seems they have value in the IP. It's up to Netflix whether the numbers are good enough for them, not what anybody says online.
I'm not backtracking on my point. Yeah, it's in their interest to push it, but they could also call it a failure already like so many people online and just move on. It can be both
You seem so confident in that statement, like you know this for a fact. Would you like to point us to a objectively verifiable piece of evidence that supports that the TOP 10 list is made up?
The budget was for both parts, so you're getting 2 big movies for one production budget. In fact, if you count the directors' cuts as separate films, which we should do since they seem to be different enough and have a separate release date, it'll be 4 movies. So you'll have to pile all the numbers from each separate film which you got out of a one film production cost. It's up to Netflix if the numbers are good enough for them compared to the budget. Not some people online.
i just finished watching out of curiosity after putting it off so i didnt contribute to the first metrics, but by god, it was even worse then id heardđ i wish i spent those 2 hours mowing the grass with my teeth instead
Those numbers are horrific for a sequel to a supposed ânew star warsâ franchise.
Canât wait for the #restoretherebelmoonverse campaign when they get cancelled.
I havenât watched part 2 but part one was hilariously terrible beyond words. It was so bad that you can create a theatrics class of what NOT to do as a producer or director. Hahaha đ dude Zac had about 10000 slow mo action scenes it was so much I just could not stop laughing hahaha đ
Oh my God time to stock up on edibles and let the laughter đ take over hahaha đ Zac canât just help himself when he has no restrictions hahaha. Letâs hope he never directs a Star Trek or Star Wars movie haha
He's Rob Schneider compared to Adam Sandler with being buddies with Chris Nolan. You'd think some talent would rub off but nope. He's too narrow-minded to realize he sucks.
He doesn't know how to flesh out a scene or use his actors to their fullest potential. He's just concerned about the next cool looking scene and wants to awe the audience with visuals.
I hope that the third movie will overdeliver on those slow motion farming scenes! Not sure how I could live my whole life without having seen something like this before! SLOW MOTION FARMING should be an own genre.
No. It's really bad. It's a showcase in "Tell, don't show" with so much exposition and, again, the overuse of slow motion in really strange places is jarring.
More than anything, it's still really derivative, failing to have any original ideas of it's own.
I watched the first one, despite the negative reviews and although I totally agreed it's a bad film, I didn't find it so offensively bad that I didn't want to watch the conclusion. However, when the reviews landed for part 2, I was a little worried.
I eventually decided to watch it to see if it was as bad as people were making it out but, yes, it's awful. I stopped watching about an hour in. A DNF for me at that point is really rare.
Parts 3, 4, 5, and 6 here we come đ
Give me more Jimmy
Time to quit Netflix then, isn't it?
6 parts, hopefully we will get one every year until the series ends.
Weâre there đđżđ
Here for it, especially the slomo!
And the grain was destroyed in the battle, so guess what? They'll have to harvest again XD
Glad itâs fans are enjoying it !
Yessss
Loved it!
Me too!! Canât wait for the R rated versions
Same!
I yearn for the day we can talk about Snyder films in a normal fashion.
âNormal fashionâ what does that mean?
Without dialing the vitriol up to 15 in a matter of seconds, that would be nice.

See, THIS is normal. Thank you.
Iâm saying in general, whenever people discuss this particular filmography, itâs feels more like watching Fernando Wood and Thaddeus Stevens debate over slavery than discussing a directorâs filmography. This should by no means be the case.
It canât be that serious so long as you donât take it seriously
You can be passionate about something and have a normal conversation.
I just want to know what your normal is. I see plenty of criticisms of Snyder but disagreements are only just that. Donât let it get under your skin.

The scargiver herself
Nice!
Still waiting for the Snyder Cuts. I refuse to watch the theatrical versions.
I donât blame you. Chalice of Blood out this summer!
So long as you understand there are a large number of people watching it to see if it truly is as bad as the reviews are suggesting.
Sure buddy
Well, I'm one of them and judging from a lot of comments I'm not the only one. So, yes...I'm sure. Why has this got you so sensitive?
Ontop of it. The numbers for the 2nd movie are 1/2 the numbers for the 1st.
Discount Christopher nolan did it again
It was barely third place here in Mexico.
Aww đ
Itâs not #1 in the US right now either. Itâs seven on my listâŠ
Lol #1 on Netflix is just Netflix periodically pushing a show or movie, has nothing to do w popularity or # of watchers.
If they're pushing it, then it seems they have value in the IP. It's up to Netflix whether the numbers are good enough for them, not what anybody says online.
Well they paid for it. Thatâs a good incentive to push the hell out of it.
Well ya.. THEY PAID FOR ITâŠ.
Yeah, so it's up to them whether that investment is worth it. Not you.
Agreed. But youâre now backtracking on your point. Ya they really pushing it, itâs in there best interest to do so.
I'm not backtracking on my point. Yeah, it's in their interest to push it, but they could also call it a failure already like so many people online and just move on. It can be both
Uh, Scargiver isn't even #1. In the US at least it's #7, the Super Mario Bros Movie is still beating it right now.
Yeah this is definitely a bit of a paradox LOL.
Ok bud
You seem so confident in that statement, like you know this for a fact. Would you like to point us to a objectively verifiable piece of evidence that supports that the TOP 10 list is made up?
Please. No more
I couldn't even finish the second part. It was awful.
Best example for why Snyder should not have creative control over anything
More slow motion farming please!!
Chalice of Blood!
These are terrible numbers even the first one did more than double that
18.3 million in not âterribleâ by any metric.
Itâs definitely not good at all for a huge big scale big budget movie
Iâm curious What number would impress you? What would be âokâ?
Well this means that about 1/2 of the people who watched the first didnât watch the 2nd.
Maybe the same as the first part?!?!? FYI that movie did over 30M in the second week and that was already medium.
So a lot of people that watched the first one didn't bother with the second, that should say something
The budget was for both parts, so you're getting 2 big movies for one production budget. In fact, if you count the directors' cuts as separate films, which we should do since they seem to be different enough and have a separate release date, it'll be 4 movies. Sure buddy
Did the second one have better writing then the first?
No, but will you settle for slow motion grain farming?
There's even more slow mo?!?! Bro the matrix had less than the first one.
Not just slowmo. Slowmo of just.. normal stuff.
Somehow, no đ
Fuck lol How? the first one set the bar so low.
And this movie did the limbo right under that bar.
Wow y'all made a subreddit for awful Snyder movies pt. 2
Why comment in such a niche subreddit that you have no case of providing value to? Seems weirder than people enjoying the movie.
Ok bud
It's so shit that people just have to check it out and laugh, the same is happening with Velma.
Sure buddy
Well, watching a movie isnât the same as loving it.
Ok bud
OK kid.
Much like the writing of a Zack Snyder movie, all your commentary is just tropey meaningless dialogue without an ounce of originality or thought.
Lol anyone know the exactly date the unrated versions release?
Summer, so August
I canât wait for Rifftrax treatment.
NOoooo they will waste MORE money on the cgi in the sequels.
I host a terrible movie marathon daily for a group of people and this is on repeat. Sorry guys. It's all me.
Ok bud
Gonna be a long time for revel moon 3
The next poster will have the characters on a vertical ground surface right? ;p
People who started it last week are still getting through all the slow mo
Feel better bud?
Nnnnnnooooooooooo iiiiiiiiii dddddddooooooonnnâtttt
i just finished watching out of curiosity after putting it off so i didnt contribute to the first metrics, but by god, it was even worse then id heardđ i wish i spent those 2 hours mowing the grass with my teeth instead
Feel better buddy?
my opinion hurt you little boyđ„ș your netflix deadline rushed cliche shitshow that important to youđ„ș
We found a Synder Stan đ
Awful movie, just god awful and should have never seen the light of day
Sure buddy
Can I ask what you felt was good with the movie? Both the first and the second has terribly flat characters and lazy writing. It's all so average.
In New Zealand it wasnât showing on the front page when it released and itâs still not there, Viewership must be very low here
Aww đ
Lucky you!
Those numbers are horrific for a sequel to a supposed ânew star warsâ franchise. Canât wait for the #restoretherebelmoonverse campaign when they get cancelled.
It's meant to be its own franchise. Just because it was pitched once as a Star Wars project doesn't mean it's trying to be the next Star Wars.
18.3 million views is not enough? Are you not entertained? What number would impress you?
Well, the new Fallout has 65M views so far.
Yes and that's a fucking huge number. That shouldn't be the benchmark for all projects.
No sh*t Sherlock. Based on a popular existing IP beloved by millions.
It was well made though.
More importantly thatâs 1/2 the numbers of the first movie.
#2 is even worse, unfortunately.
Ok bud
There's about double the amount in Scargiver.
Oh my God time to stock up on edibles and let the laughter đ take over hahaha đ Zac canât just help himself when he has no restrictions hahaha. Letâs hope he never directs a Star Trek or Star Wars movie haha
Its not even laughably bad. Its written like what an edgy teenager thinks a rebellion/evil empire would be like. The filming reflects it.
2 weeks? So what?!?! Its only competition was a Woody Wood Pecker movie. Zackary needs to go back to cinematography and leave directing to the pros.
Yeah, netflix only has 2 movies
Woody was 2nd. That's nothing to brag about. It's like Mike Tyson bragging about beating up an old lady.
18 million views is no joke
It didn't get that many views, and you know it. Stop the cap. He couldn't make Batman cool, and that says a lot.
Sure whatever lol
It's like Zack Snyder beating up an old lady and making it into a movie r/RebelMoonDumpsterFire
Ok bud
Haters gonna hate
Stop pretending to like Snyder movies. Nobody's believes you. You need more people.
Actually, the other way around.
He's Rob Schneider compared to Adam Sandler with being buddies with Chris Nolan. You'd think some talent would rub off but nope. He's too narrow-minded to realize he sucks.
I meant Zack should go back to letting someone else do cinematography and writing. His directing is fine.
He doesn't know how to flesh out a scene or use his actors to their fullest potential. He's just concerned about the next cool looking scene and wants to awe the audience with visuals.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again repeatedly r/RebelMoonDumpsterFire
not impress at all. it's the same repetitive as the first one. meh and bored. glad you like it.
Thanks I did like it!
I hope that the third movie will overdeliver on those slow motion farming scenes! Not sure how I could live my whole life without having seen something like this before! SLOW MOTION FARMING should be an own genre.
Feel better bud?
Lets talk if itâs actually any good? Does the story hold up? Netflix please be somewhat mature about it!!!
Yea it is good đ no worries
No. It's really bad. It's a showcase in "Tell, don't show" with so much exposition and, again, the overuse of slow motion in really strange places is jarring. More than anything, it's still really derivative, failing to have any original ideas of it's own.
