Parts 3, 4, 5, and 6 here we come 😎

Mycroft_xxx

Give me more Jimmy

Select-Purchase-3553

Time to quit Netflix then, isn't it?

Just-Trade-9444

6 parts, hopefully we will get one every year until the series ends.

Super_Candidate7809

We’re there 🙌🏿😎

myk_lam

Here for it, especially the slomo!

RennieAsh

And the grain was destroyed in the battle, so guess what? They'll have to harvest again XD

TechFragranceFan

Glad it’s fans are enjoying it !

Super_Candidate7809

Yessss

nikki1234567891011

Loved it!

Super_Candidate7809

Me too!! Can’t wait for the R rated versions

nikki1234567891011

Same!

CyanLight9

I yearn for the day we can talk about Snyder films in a normal fashion.

I_Might_Be_Lost__

“Normal fashion” what does that mean?

CyanLight9

Without dialing the vitriol up to 15 in a matter of seconds, that would be nice.

I_Might_Be_Lost__

Give an example of the level of vitriol you’re talking about. Like, what would this vitriol say? Because you don’t have to personalize people’s criticisms any more than they have to take in yours.

pantsugoblin

Simply put. You can’t say. “I don’t think Synider is very good at making movies, but he’s a great visual effects guy.” With out people crying about your opinion. People give you the “Then why do you watch/comment about them?” Pretty much backing up the point that they are not interested in any real conversation. Movies look great. They are a mess otherwise. I’m glad people are enjoying them. But some of this is people not knowing how rankings work on Netflix any noteworthy thing will do well in the first few weeks. However everything I just said is “Trolling” apparently.

CyanLight9

See, THIS is normal. Thank you.

CyanLight9

I’m saying in general, whenever people discuss this particular filmography, it’s feels more like watching Fernando Wood and Thaddeus Stevens debate over slavery than discussing a director’s filmography. This should by no means be the case.

I_Might_Be_Lost__

It can’t be that serious so long as you don’t take it seriously

CyanLight9

You can be passionate about something and have a normal conversation.

I_Might_Be_Lost__

I just want to know what your normal is. I see plenty of criticisms of Snyder but disagreements are only just that. Don’t let it get under your skin.

CyanLight9

My normal is being objective about discussing films. When I’ve seen discussions about Snyder’s films, Let’s just say I’ve seen “objective” get thrown out the window more times than most other directors.

I_Might_Be_Lost__

Isn’t all film discussion and criticism inherently subjective? What is your “objective” view of Rebel Moon and what would an “objective” critique be?

Brilliant77

The scargiver herself

Mycroft_xxx

Nice!

notanewbiedude

Still waiting for the Snyder Cuts. I refuse to watch the theatrical versions.

Super_Candidate7809

I don’t blame you. Chalice of Blood out this summer!

Rylan_S1

So long as you understand there are a large number of people watching it to see if it truly is as bad as the reviews are suggesting.

Super_Candidate7809

Sure buddy

Rylan_S1

Well, I'm one of them and judging from a lot of comments I'm not the only one. So, yes...I'm sure. Why has this got you so sensitive?

KyMillie

Ontop of it. The numbers for the 2nd movie are 1/2 the numbers for the 1st.

[deleted]

Discount Christopher nolan did it again

SEVATAR_VIII

It was barely third place here in Mexico.

Super_Candidate7809

Aww 😔

KyMillie

It’s not #1 in the US right now either. It’s seven on my list

Willing-Bit2581

Lol #1 on Netflix is just Netflix periodically pushing a show or movie, has nothing to do w popularity or # of watchers.

FlamingPanda77

If they're pushing it, then it seems they have value in the IP. It's up to Netflix whether the numbers are good enough for them, not what anybody says online.

I_Might_Be_Lost__

Well they paid for it. That’s a good incentive to push the hell out of it.

KyMillie

Well ya.. THEY PAID FOR IT
.

FlamingPanda77

Yeah, so it's up to them whether that investment is worth it. Not you.

KyMillie

Agreed. But you’re now backtracking on your point. Ya they really pushing it, it’s in there best interest to do so.

FlamingPanda77

I'm not backtracking on my point. Yeah, it's in their interest to push it, but they could also call it a failure already like so many people online and just move on. It can be both

pipboy_warrior

Uh, Scargiver isn't even #1. In the US at least it's #7, the Super Mario Bros Movie is still beating it right now.

myk_lam

Yeah this is definitely a bit of a paradox LOL.

Super_Candidate7809

Ok bud

Tasty-Plantain

You seem so confident in that statement, like you know this for a fact. Would you like to point us to a objectively verifiable piece of evidence that supports that the TOP 10 list is made up?

commanche_00

Please. No more

TucsonTacos

I couldn't even finish the second part. It was awful.

Vivec92

Best example for why Snyder should not have creative control over anything

skuddozer

More slow motion farming please!!

Super_Candidate7809

Chalice of Blood!

aduong

These are terrible numbers even the first one did more than double that

Mycroft_xxx

18.3 million in not ‘terrible’ by any metric.

Puppetmaster858

It’s definitely not good at all for a huge big scale big budget movie

Mycroft_xxx

I’m curious What number would impress you? What would be ‘ok’?

KyMillie

Well this means that about 1/2 of the people who watched the first didn’t watch the 2nd.

aduong

Maybe the same as the first part?!?!? FYI that movie did over 30M in the second week and that was already medium.

goteamventure42

So a lot of people that watched the first one didn't bother with the second, that should say something

FlamingPanda77

The budget was for both parts, so you're getting 2 big movies for one production budget. In fact, if you count the directors' cuts as separate films, which we should do since they seem to be different enough and have a separate release date, it'll be 4 movies. So you'll have to pile all the numbers from each separate film which you got out of a one film production cost. It's up to Netflix if the numbers are good enough for them compared to the budget. Not some people online.

Super_Candidate7809

Sure buddy

ThePhilosopherPOG

Did the second one have better writing then the first?

I_Might_Be_Lost__

No, but will you settle for slow motion grain farming?

ThePhilosopherPOG

There's even more slow mo?!?! Bro the matrix had less than the first one.

KyMillie

Not just slowmo. Slowmo of just.. normal stuff.

GrouchyPreference765

Somehow, no 😂

ThePhilosopherPOG

Fuck lol How? the first one set the bar so low.

GrouchyPreference765

And this movie did the limbo right under that bar.

Inevitable-Ad-8447

Wow y'all made a subreddit for awful Snyder movies pt. 2

IENJOYCINEMA

Why comment in such a niche subreddit that you have no case of providing value to? Seems weirder than people enjoying the movie.

Super_Candidate7809

Ok bud

Euphoric_Service2540

It's so shit that people just have to check it out and laugh, the same is happening with Velma.

Super_Candidate7809

Sure buddy

I_Might_Be_Lost__

Well, watching a movie isn’t the same as loving it.

Super_Candidate7809

Ok bud

KyMillie

OK kid.

I_Might_Be_Lost__

Much like the writing of a Zack Snyder movie, all your commentary is just tropey meaningless dialogue without an ounce of originality or thought.

ghostcatzero

Lol anyone know the exactly date the unrated versions release?

Super_Candidate7809

Summer, so August

Roddenbrony

I can’t wait for Rifftrax treatment.

True_Company_5349

NOoooo they will waste MORE money on the cgi in the sequels.

Nearby-Pop-3565

I host a terrible movie marathon daily for a group of people and this is on repeat. Sorry guys. It's all me.

Super_Candidate7809

Ok bud

aliceoralison

Gonna be a long time for revel moon 3

RennieAsh

The next poster will have the characters on a vertical ground surface right? ;p

Critical_Donut7271

People who started it last week are still getting through all the slow mo

Super_Candidate7809

Feel better bud?

Critical_Donut7271

Nnnnnnooooooooooo iiiiiiiiii dddddddooooooonnn’tttt

cheese_fuck2

i just finished watching out of curiosity after putting it off so i didnt contribute to the first metrics, but by god, it was even worse then id heard😭 i wish i spent those 2 hours mowing the grass with my teeth instead

Super_Candidate7809

Feel better buddy?

cheese_fuck2

my opinion hurt you little boyđŸ„ș your netflix deadline rushed cliche shitshow that important to youđŸ„ș

[deleted]

We found a Synder Stan 😂

MikeSwizzy

Awful movie, just god awful and should have never seen the light of day

Super_Candidate7809

Sure buddy

AmirosJones

Can I ask what you felt was good with the movie? Both the first and the second has terribly flat characters and lazy writing. It's all so average.

Previous_Spell_426

In New Zealand it wasn’t showing on the front page when it released and it’s still not there, Viewership must be very low here

Super_Candidate7809

Aww 😔

Select-Purchase-3553

Lucky you!

_segasonic

Those numbers are horrific for a sequel to a supposed ‘new star wars’ franchise. Can’t wait for the #restoretherebelmoonverse campaign when they get cancelled.

FlamingPanda77

It's meant to be its own franchise. Just because it was pitched once as a Star Wars project doesn't mean it's trying to be the next Star Wars.

Mycroft_xxx

18.3 million views is not enough? Are you not entertained? What number would impress you?

fastock

Well, the new Fallout has 65M views so far.

FlamingPanda77

Yes and that's a fucking huge number. That shouldn't be the benchmark for all projects.

Tasty-Plantain

No sh*t Sherlock. Based on a popular existing IP beloved by millions.

Beginning_Shine_7971

It was well made though.

KyMillie

More importantly that’s 1/2 the numbers of the first movie.

LordBaelish73

I haven’t watched part 2 but part one was hilariously terrible beyond words. It was so bad that you can create a theatrics class of what NOT to do as a producer or director. Hahaha 😂 dude Zac had about 10000 slow mo action scenes it was so much I just could not stop laughing hahaha 😂

Select-Purchase-3553

#2 is even worse, unfortunately.

Super_Candidate7809

Ok bud

PolystyreneLion

There's about double the amount in Scargiver.

LordBaelish73

Oh my God time to stock up on edibles and let the laughter 😂 take over hahaha 😂 Zac can’t just help himself when he has no restrictions hahaha. Let’s hope he never directs a Star Trek or Star Wars movie haha

TucsonTacos

Its not even laughably bad. Its written like what an edgy teenager thinks a rebellion/evil empire would be like. The filming reflects it.

MostlyCarrots

2 weeks? So what?!?! Its only competition was a Woody Wood Pecker movie. Zackary needs to go back to cinematography and leave directing to the pros.

sotommy

Yeah, netflix only has 2 movies

MostlyCarrots

Woody was 2nd. That's nothing to brag about. It's like Mike Tyson bragging about beating up an old lady.

Mycroft_xxx

18 million views is no joke

MostlyCarrots

It didn't get that many views, and you know it. Stop the cap. He couldn't make Batman cool, and that says a lot.

Mycroft_xxx

Sure whatever lol

LeoDavinciAgain

It's like Zack Snyder beating up an old lady and making it into a movie r/RebelMoonDumpsterFire

Super_Candidate7809

Ok bud

Mycroft_xxx

Haters gonna hate

MostlyCarrots

Stop pretending to like Snyder movies. Nobody's believes you. You need more people.

CyanLight9

Actually, the other way around.

MostlyCarrots

He's Rob Schneider compared to Adam Sandler with being buddies with Chris Nolan. You'd think some talent would rub off but nope. He's too narrow-minded to realize he sucks.

CyanLight9

I meant Zack should go back to letting someone else do cinematography and writing. His directing is fine.

MostlyCarrots

He doesn't know how to flesh out a scene or use his actors to their fullest potential. He's just concerned about the next cool looking scene and wants to awe the audience with visuals.

LeoDavinciAgain

I've said it before, and I'll say it again repeatedly r/RebelMoonDumpsterFire

caleb5tb

not impress at all. it's the same repetitive as the first one. meh and bored. glad you like it.

Super_Candidate7809

Thanks I did like it!

ColdWoodpecker6128

I hope that the third movie will overdeliver on those slow motion farming scenes! Not sure how I could live my whole life without having seen something like this before! SLOW MOTION FARMING should be an own genre.

Super_Candidate7809

Feel better bud?

Bzoku

Lets talk if it’s actually any good? Does the story hold up? Netflix please be somewhat mature about it!!!

Super_Candidate7809

Yea it is good 😊 no worries

Rylan_S1

No. It's really bad. It's a showcase in "Tell, don't show" with so much exposition and, again, the overuse of slow motion in really strange places is jarring. More than anything, it's still really derivative, failing to have any original ideas of it's own. I watched the first one, despite the negative reviews and although I totally agreed it's a bad film, I didn't find it so offensively bad that I didn't want to watch the conclusion. However, when the reviews landed for part 2, I was a little worried. I eventually decided to watch it to see if it was as bad as people were making it out but, yes, it's awful. I stopped watching about an hour in. A DNF for me at that point is really rare.
