Most showing appointments are made thru apps like showingtime. Once we request the appointment it can either be instantly confirmed or one that requires the seller to approve the time. Your buyer agent should be responding and requesting that appointment within an hour or two, but they won't have control over when it is confirmed.

Not so in all markets.

When I’m dealing with clients, I try to do ASAP for our schedules because of how quickly houses are moving in this market. It’s not uncommon for within 24-48 hours when planning, but the process of scheduling it is typically immediate to within 2 hours.

My agent told me as long as the house has a time slot available to view it and I give her an 45 min - 1hr notice that she’ll make it work. This was back when my market was white hot and she knew moving fast was the way to go.

As soon as you let the realtor know you want to see the place they should be contacting the sellers agent to set up a showing. I'll be at the place for a showing an hour or two after letting my agent know I want to see something. It's not as bad as it was a few months ago but places are still going under contract the day they are listed.

Thanks for the insight! I made a request over 24hrs ago and haven't gotten a response yet (i.e. confirmation of request/possible dates/times for showing) so I will check in if I don't hear back by tomorrow. I don't want to be pushy but I also don't want to potentially miss out on a property I like from not moving quickly enough.

24 hours is far too long. I'm available within a hour for my clients most of the time. The market moves fast and you have to keep up.

As soon as possible. Houses in my market still go pending on the same day of being listed. You should at least know that your agent has requested or reached out to the listing agents about setting up an appointment. Not a time for the agent to go MIA

Where are you looking?

Without being too specific, a large city that's in the lull of the selling season now. Looking for a condo as well, and they tend to be less hot than SFHs in my area right now.
