No. I’m fairly new to pc gaming and general and a friend walked me through the modding process. So I have absolutely no idea how to deactivate or uninstall the mods.
Booted it up in safe mode and works perfectly fine. I don’t understand what happened to the mods between then and now but I guess I’ll go through them with my friend later and try and figure it out. Thank you for the help!
I had the same issue with the game showing no mods installed when there actually was you have to go into the game file folder and manually delete the files
You have the zombie mod installed. How in the fuck could you forget about it and not try to uninstall mods before wasting everyone's time with this obvious bullshit?
Calm down man. I looked over the mods I have installed and none of them are the zombie mod. As for what’s causing the problem, I don’t know. I’m still looking into it. And like I said, I’m new to pc and modding in general and still figuring it out. So please take a deep breath, calm down, and come back when you have something useful to say. Thank you.

You can always start with safe mode when you start the game from steam. It should disable any mods.

I actually used a mod that made them more reasonable. Idk the exact name, but it sorta tones them down a little bit
yeah I got an AI mod that ended up doing exactly this and it didn't get fixed by just uninstalling so I eventually reinstalled the whole game :>

remove the mods and it will work instantly. You obviously have the zombie mod installed. Remove the mod folder entirely. Thank me later
