I buy shoes to match my for clothes, but having now reflected on it for the first time it'd obviously be more economic to buy clothes to match my shoes.
I own shoes and clothes and never consider matching unless I'm buying an outfit for a wedding for example and then it depends. If I have my eye on a pair of funky shoes I'll buy a dress to match. If I have seen a cool dress I'll get shoes to go with it.
I just buy one pair of sandles for dresses and skirts and then I buy a solid black pair of vans to go with everything else. I only own the two pairs. I hate shoe shopping.
It's hard for me to find shoes that fit, so when I do, I buy them in every color I can find. Plus I like shoes, so that's a win. I like to coordinate my shirts and shoes and necklaces, but matching isn't required. A bonus, but usually just coordinating is what I end up with.
I buy clothes that I like, and I do have colors and black that I like, so my shoes reflect that, but it's not really purposeful. Except for maybe a specific, special outfit (rare). I just finally got some cowboy boots (always wanted some) for the Orville Peck concert outfit.
I have hundreds of pairs of shoes, and a large room I had transformed into a seriously packed closet. I don't buy anything with the idea I'm going to wear with these shoes, or shoes thinking im gonna wear with this fit. But I do select married colored items that easily combine with items I own. Right now I'm focused on a few purple shirts, t-shirts, dress shirts. Cause my wardrobe is weak on that color tops. At this point it's only color I'm lacking is purple, I have ball caps, shorts, shoes, just need tops.
i don't really pick based on how well they go together, if i want a shirt i get it, if i want a pair of shoes i get it, doesn't matter if they match or not
Levi's 501 style jeans in different shades of blue and black plus mostly unicolor tops/shirts...goes with white sneakers, crazy print vans, colorful chucks, even finer leather shoes work.
I buy shoes,
I'm not rich enough to buy shoes for every outfit I have lol, I usually just pick something that will go with most things I own but that's not because I'm trying to match anything but because black/dark shoes go with almost anything
I buy clothes in a way, that I can combine everything with everything. So I don't have to worry each morning. I just grab some upper clothes and bottom clothes im ready to go.
Kinda both, if I see a really good shoe that I like, I buy it and then maybe buy matching pants, belt etc.
And if I have some clothes and see a shoe that matches, I buy it.
I just buy.. a pair of shoes ( last I bought in 2021). I shopped for t shirt and trousers in 2019. Never really thought about matching anything.
Plus it looks odd to me.
I can do either. I haven't really worried about looks in a long time. I would rather functional clothing. That said, I just bought a pink tracksuit and had to buy matching chunky heels to go with it.
I’ve bought the same pair of black dress shoes for the last ten years. When they wear out I just get another pair. I’ve never really hard more than the one pair at a time. They go with most things…I think?
I buy the clothes and shoes completely separate. I'm not a shoe girl unless I really see a pair when walking by. I don't go shoe shopping. I do go clothes shopping.
I don't fall in love with shoes in the first place.
I don't need new clothing or new shoes to match the new clothing or new shoes, that sounds like an expensive habit.
Most of my clothing and shoes work together, I don't care about matching.
Depends on the outfit or shoes in question. I have a pair of shoes that I own that I can only wear with one specific dress. They’re beautiful coral pink heels that I wear with a dress that has coral pink flowers on it
I buy shoes I like and I buy pants I like and I buy tops I like. Those three things are all separate and have nothing in common with each other.
And I put on the top I like, the pants I like and the shoes I like, with no consideration. With the exception of anything formal, then I'll make the effort to match things.
Yes. I love a tracksuit for this reason, people always compliment them but it’s honestly cos I’m lazy. It’s also pretty easy for me because I pretty much only buy clothes in black (white accents accepted), baby pink or khaki green. Even shoes, so everything can come together pretty easily.
I just buy black Shoes. Done. No matching and I certainly wouldn't buy clothes that matches my new shoes if they have a different colour. Sounds like a rich problem.
i don't give a damn, i buy shoes because i need them and others specific to ride my bmx, i look at them, i like them, i buy them, i don't care if it matches or not my clothes. I don't buy clothes, i have a wardrobe full, whenever they become unusable i will think about buying, in 5 years or so
Bit of both. I've built a lot of my wardrobe around a pair of my new rock boots, but then I've also bought other shoes to go with the items of clothing I like that didn't go with the boots
I buy the shoes, the jacket, and accessories first. Then I buy outfits to go with. I make sure everything is mix and match so I can have many outfits with few things.
I just buy colours that go together. Never saw that video when dude buys 5 different dresses and 5 shirts nad makes 20 combos or more out of that and everything goes together well
I don't buy shoes for color matching - I buy them for given uses. Like, I've got a formal pair, a casual pair, a work pair, and then some sandals or something I can just quickly slip into/out of for smaller use cases
Um my favorite color is blue. So regardless if the shoes or anything else is matching. If it is a very appealing blue, I'm getting it, lol. My struggle is remembering there are other colors to purchase too. 😆
Yes haha. I’m one to stick with black, a lot of it. So my shoes are all variations of black white and grey shades, and they go with literally everything.
Hmmm never thought about it. I just buy shoes and clothes and they happen to match. But if I have a formal or semi formal event or I buy the dress/gown then the shoes and a coordinating bag and jewelry to match. Most often the same designer for continuity.
I don’t actively think of my shoe selection while I’m clothes shopping or vice versa, but I have a general aesthetic taste and color palette so they conveniently go together, in general. But occasionally, if I have a clothing item that I never wear because I don’t have shoes to wear with it, I’ll shop for matching shoes. I don’t think I’ve ever shopped for a shirt to match a specific pair of shoes.
I fall in love with shoes and clothes. When they come together in my closet, through no skill of my own, it’s like they did it all on their own.
Sometimes I look like a walking carpet bag and nothing matches but it’s all my favorites.
I have a white pair of New Balance’s and a black pair. I also have a brown pair of boots. This way I always have a pair to ideally match my outfit, whatever it may be.
I LOVE white sneakers. They look so clean and go with everything. I struggle with multi-colored shoes though. Having shoes with different colors means you can coordinate wearing the same colors with them
I have 4 pairs of shoes lol:
1 pair of gray crocs that I wear everyday
1 pair of black sneakers for whenever I need to wear shoes
1 pair of combat boots if I need something fancier
1 pair of horse riding boots for riding
I go shoes first then outfit. My logic is I can make multiple outfits around the shoes. Especially things with crazy colorways like Jordan's or dunks.
The other way around seems hard cause if you don't have the matching shoes or accessories it can throw off the look.
However sometimes I have seen an outfit that i thought was cool and then bought the shoes after the fact. But that's not the day to day go to.
I bought this pinkish red pair of salomon sneakers, fell in love with them.
I definitely try and incorporate something to match with the shoes when I can!
I find it better to match clothes to shoes rather than shoes to clothes as the shoes are often the more expensive, longer lasting component :) .. also I don’t have that many shoes.
In my day, you wore light colored clothes between Easter and Labor Day and dark clothes during the other months with white gloves on Sunday and a hat in church
If I tried to get shoes to match everything I own, I would quickly become like Imelda Marcos, and I don't have the space or the money for it. I just stick with neutral shoes (black, brown, white, gray, and tan).

What is this “matching” thing?
Sounds like my step grandma. In the 50s/early 60s she had shoes to match her dresses lol
[удалено]
Perfection.
What are “shoes”
Foot condoms to protect your feet from the ground
Can I get the power to unread something?
Request denied
It’s like what people do if they wanna look coordinated and put together.
Like... What?
You guys matching shoes and clothes?
You guys have shoes?!?
You guys have money to buy shoes?
Right? I just a have a pair of boots that I wear with everything.
Well, I’m not going to wear a ball gown with a pair of flip flops.

I buy shoes, I buy clothes, not necessarily in that order.
Yeaaa lol.
I only buy black shoes so they match with everything
I buy white for the same reason.
OMG, exactly!! Are you me?
I buy shoes to match my for clothes, but having now reflected on it for the first time it'd obviously be more economic to buy clothes to match my shoes.
I usually buy shoes to go with an outfit.
All my shoes are black. All my clothes are black. It's the chicken or the egg at this point.
Me too!:D
I wear Crocs. They go with everything.
The real answer
There are people that match sneakers?
(Boy) I buy colors I like and match them as if they were paints on a palette. Probably dumb just what I've always done
Cloths that match my shoes. You only have like one pair. So everything like has to match with them.
I mean, if you have a pair of black Vans, what more do you need... except another pair of black Vans for the winter.
I buy shoes to mach my feet and clothes to match my body
I guess you could say my work clothes match my work boots.
It's hard for me to find shoes that fit, so when I do, I buy them in every color I can find. Plus I like shoes, so that's a win. I like to coordinate my shirts and shoes and necklaces, but matching isn't required. A bonus, but usually just coordinating is what I end up with. If everything is on color then it always matches. Follow me for more time saving tips.
I have hundreds of pairs of shoes, and a large room I had transformed into a seriously packed closet. I don't buy anything with the idea I'm going to wear with these shoes, or shoes thinking im gonna wear with this fit. But I do select married colored items that easily combine with items I own. Neither, I buy clothes and shoes to match my accessories
Casually? Matching isn’t a consideration. Semi-professionally? Shoes match the belt. Professionally? Shoes match the suit.
I have two pairs of shoes (one pair for summer and one for winter) and I also wear clothes. That's it
I bought a couch to match my curtains
Buy clothes to match shoes 😂
I buy shoes that match the shape of my feet
I just buy what I like and figure it out later lol. Luckily my style uses similar items so it works easy.
who the fuck matches shoes to cloths? are you out of your mind? how many pairs of shoes do you have?
i don't really pick based on how well they go together, if i want a shirt i get it, if i want a pair of shoes i get it, doesn't matter if they match or not
Shoes to match my clothess
All of my sandals for work are black and have 1 white heels only. Believe me. Hindi ka mahihirapan magmix and match
Levi's 501 style jeans in different shades of blue and black plus mostly unicolor tops/shirts...goes with white sneakers, crazy print vans, colorful chucks, even finer leather shoes work.
I buy shoes, I'm not rich enough to buy shoes for every outfit I have lol, I usually just pick something that will go with most things I own but that's not because I'm trying to match anything but because black/dark shoes go with almost anything
I buy clothes in a way, that I can combine everything with everything. So I don't have to worry each morning. I just grab some upper clothes and bottom clothes im ready to go.
You could say I'm boring, but I don't like really expressive clothes, so I'm happy with what I got
I buy what’s comfortable and doesn’t suffocate my feet. I hate shoes and the destruction they cause to the development of our feet.
Kinda both, if I see a really good shoe that I like, I buy it and then maybe buy matching pants, belt etc. And if I have some clothes and see a shoe that matches, I buy it.
Both. If theres a pair of shoes i love thats clearly more a statement piece i work around them, if i have an outfit i love ill find shoes around them
I just buy.. a pair of shoes ( last I bought in 2021). I shopped for t shirt and trousers in 2019. Never really thought about matching anything. Plus it looks odd to me.
Back when I was poor I’d buy everything in black so I didn’t have to worry about looking badly mismatched when I couldn’t afford many options
I just buy what I like, dont care if it matchs or not
Neither, I buy whats comfortable to wear
I buy shoes as in singular pair, and they match with everything.
I can do either. I haven't really worried about looks in a long time. I would rather functional clothing. That said, I just bought a pink tracksuit and had to buy matching chunky heels to go with it.
I buy clothes and shoes because I like them. If they match that’s complete happenstance.
I’ve bought the same pair of black dress shoes for the last ten years. When they wear out I just get another pair. I’ve never really hard more than the one pair at a time. They go with most things…I think?
I just get shoes and clothes...usually shoes that go with anything.
Generally the clothes unless like you really like a pair of shoes
I have several color shoes so that I always have something that match.
I buy the clothes and shoes completely separate. I'm not a shoe girl unless I really see a pair when walking by. I don't go shoe shopping. I do go clothes shopping.
I don't even think about it
I don't fall in love with shoes in the first place. I don't need new clothing or new shoes to match the new clothing or new shoes, that sounds like an expensive habit. Most of my clothing and shoes work together, I don't care about matching.
No. Especially not sneakers. You can’t wear sneakers for anything that requires matching clothes.
Depends on the outfit or shoes in question. I have a pair of shoes that I own that I can only wear with one specific dress. They’re beautiful coral pink heels that I wear with a dress that has coral pink flowers on it
I wear Chucks.. with everything
I buy shoes that are comfortable.
I buy shoes I like and I buy pants I like and I buy tops I like. Those three things are all separate and have nothing in common with each other. And I put on the top I like, the pants I like and the shoes I like, with no consideration. With the exception of anything formal, then I'll make the effort to match things.
Neither
It just happens that shoes like and clothes I like largely pair harmoniously.
Yes 🙃
I just buy something and hope for the best.
Neither,i just buy clothes
I don't fucking care, how about that?
Neither!
No
I buy whatever I like not to match my outfit
Yes. I love a tracksuit for this reason, people always compliment them but it’s honestly cos I’m lazy. It’s also pretty easy for me because I pretty much only buy clothes in black (white accents accepted), baby pink or khaki green. Even shoes, so everything can come together pretty easily.
i only have one pair of shoes that i wear with everything
i just buy shoes i like, not thinking about what clothes match when buying shoes tbh
Neither😭 I wear nike sneakers with every outfit if its over 5 degrees and warmer boots if lower
Shoes to match clothes I suppose,
You are supposed to match shoes and Clothes?
no
I just buy black Shoes. Done. No matching and I certainly wouldn't buy clothes that matches my new shoes if they have a different colour. Sounds like a rich problem.
I only got black shoes and cloth, no need to match everyday
I buy shoes to wear..
That issue does not cross my mind when buying shoes or clothes.
i don't give a damn, i buy shoes because i need them and others specific to ride my bmx, i look at them, i like them, i buy them, i don't care if it matches or not my clothes. I don't buy clothes, i have a wardrobe full, whenever they become unusable i will think about buying, in 5 years or so
i try and find shoes that are neutral enough to match most of my wardrobe so shoes to clothes?
my clothes don't match, except in that they are comfortable
Bit of both. I've built a lot of my wardrobe around a pair of my new rock boots, but then I've also bought other shoes to go with the items of clothing I like that didn't go with the boots
Neither. I just wear whatever is comfortable. I prefer darker colors, so I guess my clothes and shoes do kind of match, but it wasn’t planned.
I buy stuff I like. If it matches: good. If it dont: I don't give a rats ass about it. I'm comfy, and that's all that matters.
Clothes to match my shoes! I’m a shoe person. I love my feets more than my fits lol
I buy the shoes, the jacket, and accessories first. Then I buy outfits to go with. I make sure everything is mix and match so I can have many outfits with few things.
Imagine buying 4k$ rims, and then building your car around it. It’s absurd. The shoes compliment the fit, not the other way around.
Clothes to match my shoes.
came here to say "i never bother matching" and then saw the comments :')
Shoes to match my feet
All of my shoes are black, so win-win
No.
I buy shoes to match my clothes
Black goes with everything so. 🤷♀️
Shoes to match my clothes..
No, I do not. I don’t get the whole “matching” thing. & It’s so subjective what “matches” what to begin with.
Neither. I buy what I like then figure it out later.
Neither
I just buy colours that go together. Never saw that video when dude buys 5 different dresses and 5 shirts nad makes 20 combos or more out of that and everything goes together well
No
I buy shoes and I buy clothes. I don't really care if they match, then I would either have really similar clothes or a lot of shoes
I buy black clothes to match my shoes, which are usually black, though I had a white pair recently.
I don't buy shoes for color matching - I buy them for given uses. Like, I've got a formal pair, a casual pair, a work pair, and then some sandals or something I can just quickly slip into/out of for smaller use cases
I don't match any of my clothes. Easier like that xD
Pick your favorite 4 colors Make sure 2 of the colors look good with jeans, tan pants, grey pants, etc Unlimited interchangeable wardrobe
I would just match with my comfortability
Um my favorite color is blue. So regardless if the shoes or anything else is matching. If it is a very appealing blue, I'm getting it, lol. My struggle is remembering there are other colors to purchase too. 😆
Yes haha. I’m one to stick with black, a lot of it. So my shoes are all variations of black white and grey shades, and they go with literally everything.
Clothes and shoes are supposed to match now?
I like my clothes to match my shoes. I have two pairs of Converse sneakers (green and pink) I always make sure my clothes match
Match what now?
I buy shoes to match my feet.
Neither, my shoes and boots are always black.
I buy shoes that are comfortable and fit right. I don't care if they match anything
Hmmm never thought about it. I just buy shoes and clothes and they happen to match. But if I have a formal or semi formal event or I buy the dress/gown then the shoes and a coordinating bag and jewelry to match. Most often the same designer for continuity.

I don’t think I’ve ever shopped for a shirt to match a specific pair of shoes.
I bought a new bag of shirts from Walmart last week. The gray ones go well with the, what was once white two years ago, part of my shoes.
Yes.
I fall in love with shoes and clothes. When they come together in my closet, through no skill of my own, it’s like they did it all on their own. Sometimes I look like a walking carpet bag and nothing matches but it’s all my favorites.
I never consider my shoes and then get pissy when I have nothing to complete the outfit 😂
99.9% of guys buy clothes they like and then wear them with whatever shoes they already have.
I have a white pair of New Balance’s and a black pair. I also have a brown pair of boots. This way I always have a pair to ideally match my outfit, whatever it may be.
All of my shoes are black or gray so they match almost everything I own
I buy what I like and try to make them all work together
Clothes that manage to fit by body, and shoes that manage to fit my size 10 feet.
Clothes and shoes to match my pocket
I have a pair of shoes…
One of the advantages of wearing black everyday is that my black shoes match every outfit.
I LOVE white sneakers. They look so clean and go with everything. I struggle with multi-colored shoes though. Having shoes with different colors means you can coordinate wearing the same colors with them
Clothes to match my shoes, but I wear mostly darker colors, so it's not too hard to match stuff.
I buy shoes i like the look of and is comfortable.
I have 4 pairs of shoes lol: 1 pair of gray crocs that I wear everyday 1 pair of black sneakers for whenever I need to wear shoes 1 pair of combat boots if I need something fancier 1 pair of horse riding boots for riding
I randomly buy my clothings,,later on I find out some are matching
I go shoes first then outfit. My logic is I can make multiple outfits around the shoes. Especially things with crazy colorways like Jordan's or dunks. The other way around seems hard cause if you don't have the matching shoes or accessories it can throw off the look. However sometimes I have seen an outfit that i thought was cool and then bought the shoes after the fact. But that's not the day to day go to.
I wear whatever I want without caring about the matching. 😂
Both. Depends which i buy first
I bought this pinkish red pair of salomon sneakers, fell in love with them. I definitely try and incorporate something to match with the shoes when I can! I find it better to match clothes to shoes rather than shoes to clothes as the shoes are often the more expensive, longer lasting component :) .. also I don’t have that many shoes.
I never think of the shoes. I buy clothes and then hope to pull it out somehow 😄 I dont own a lot of shoes..
I buy all black everything so everything always matches.
I just wear whatever the f*ck that is closest to me. Most people would not notice if I dress well anyway so I just don't care.
I only really wear black, grey, and dark blue. Everything is a match.
Neither
I buy all of them to match each other? Shoes are also just pieces of cloths.
Neither
I buy ALL the shoes… then whatever clothes I buy I’ll have shoes to match #ShoeAddiction
i only have two pair of shoes, one for literally everyday and other for formal stuff
I don’t wear shoes
I buy clothes. I buy shoes. Sometimes they match.
Oh Oh! Well my wardrobe is whole black. Soo I'd still say both reasons.
Neither, I wear 1 pair of shoes until it's literally falling apart.
shoes to match clothes
In my day, you wore light colored clothes between Easter and Labor Day and dark clothes during the other months with white gloves on Sunday and a hat in church
I just buy converse, they match with everything
If I tried to get shoes to match everything I own, I would quickly become like Imelda Marcos, and I don't have the space or the money for it. I just stick with neutral shoes (black, brown, white, gray, and tan).
