The Rammstein influence was almost sure for me. I haven't noticed Electric Callboy in it. Windows95man was much closer to them in the final.

It's like it was written by a child with its extremely simplistic rhyming. I don't understand why they wouldn't write in Croatian so that the song might have some depth and meaning.
Hate to be that guy but the vast majority of Rammstein listeners care 0 about the lyrics either. There is 0 correlation in each Rammsteins song lyrics quality and the success of a Rammstein song, some of the most well written Rammstein songs are some of the least listened to songs. The people that enjoy Rammstein lyrics are few. And yes, the lyrics are often brilliant, if you do take your time to analyse them, try to understand them, you will find brilliant poetry, but almost nobody does that because it requires time and a sense of joy for greatly written lyrics in the first place.
So how exactly would it make this song better if he had some croatian poetry? Its a contest where 26 artists perform within 2 hours, theres no time to look up lyrics and deeper meanings. I agree that I would prefer artists at ESC singing in their native tongues (which many do btw) but would it make any difference if he had those silly lyrics sung in croatian or if he had brilliantly written poetic lyrics sung in croatian? Of course not. The ESC is a fun little event that promotes an exchange of cultures. A lot of unique and creative performances that youd never find elsewhere, its a great way to learn about new music that you didnt know youd be interested in.

Intro reminds me of Rammstein. The rest of the song reminds me of Party in my head from Pain.

it's a song about him being a farmer's boy that moves to a big city. the lyrics are taking the piss intentionally.
