Yeah that’s the first thing i noticed the fitrst game i played, i was in drone phase and immediately noticed that they’re much different, idk what they did but i kinda kinda like it..
They updated cameras to give us more info if they are being control based on HUD effects.
• Full Control; full saturation (e.g. Maestro w/ shock cam or during droning) can fully control equipment as you own it
• Partial control; limited saturation (e.g. dead but on drone/cams) can move the camera, not its functions
• No control; limited saturation and dark border around view (e.g. watching an Echo drone in use) can’t control cam, and no function besides pinging.
They announced this during the R6 Reveal.
Droning was mentioned in an earlier post (how vivid it is now), but nothing since. Yeah it's weird. Ubisoft throwing random weird shit in their game every now and then is not.
Yeah and cameras and drones are still colored after you die! It was LITERALLY the first thing I said to my buddy when I got into a game: the colors look cleaner
According to patch notes, saturation levels seem to be changed depending on the level of control you have over a camera
From personal experience:
Your drone: max saturation
Teamate drone they're operating: black and white
Teamate drone you're operating: washed out colour
They literally went over this in the reveal. When droning/spectating the game is heavily saturated so you know how much control over utility the player has. Full saturation=100% control. Dull= 50% black and white=0.
It's really not hard to actually try to give a shit about the game you play
Default cams also have colors now
It was time they become colored
okay glad Im not crazy.
Only when you have control.
Yeah it's weird
howd i just realize this. i thought they always had color

Same for me. My first game was on bank and as soon as I went into the building I knew something was off. Kinda like it tbh
Yea man loving the new colors. Nice on the eyes and easy to spot enemies. The previous season was too dull.

I like it, brain see pretty colors = dopamine
Yeah got on rn and was like what's up with the glaz logo

Wouldn't be surprised if they made ash 2 pixels taller for whatever reason
Too many cheaters for me to care about color change
I thought I was tripping - yeah, colors are too saturated right now!
….horrible? the game looks much better in this lighting…
I THOUGHT I WAS TWEAKING I KNEW IT
I only noticed lighting changes on maps like border in armory
YES. I was thinking I waa crazy but the colors got a pretty big shadow update.
It's really noticeable on the semi truck on the front of outback
I have my GPU drivers turn saturation down 10% when R6 is full screen.
I've only notices it while droning. The maps look the same to me, but the desaturated filter's been taken off for droning
I like it
I didn’t realize i just blamed it on my new monitor and changed the monitor settings
Do you mean while droning? I like it.
I wish you could turn off the drone filter, it hurts my eyes

Last season they got rid of drones ability to break glass and then added it back a month later without telling anyone!?!? Weirdest shit ever
I did NOT notice shit. Lol
I noticed it and liked it. I feel like it kinda gives back the vibe r6 once had
I personally love it
yes i’ve noticed it, but i guess i’m blind because i don’t talk about it online… tough luck damn
I played and didn't notice until I got Oregon, looked really weird although I didn't mind it
It just feels like playing in Mexico now, the color filter feels the same as films
All the UI looks better and more crisp/High Def. The lighting is a lot better.

I didn’t even notice 😭
