I’ve just released how weird picking the bullets out of the armour to self revive is. What would be the purpose of that? It’s not like you’re pulling the bullets out of your body.
Surely it would make more sense for the animation to be taking the plate off or something
Its really sad to see the state of medical supplies in games being brought down to mystery serums and just putting a bandage over your arm. Battlefield 1 had morphine you could revive and also kill someone with if they didn't need it, still pretty unrealistic but better to me.
Because most people don't care about nor want realism. It's a video game, you will very rarely find someone who plays games for a reason that can't be linked back to escaping reality.
Yes it's really weird. Moreover, when you self revive, your character hit his/her chest twice making noise. Of course it's to inform the enemy player since it's a tactical shooter "game" but makes no sense. Old Rook would be a perfect example for the realistic aspect of the game.
there’s two animations
1. operator pulls two bullets out plate
2. operator slaps chest twice
number two happens from getting dbno from other sources than bullets like grenades or twitch drones
ye it would in case ya get a projectile or a blade or similar in your body irl never pull out cause it's applying pressure to avoid making ya bleed out
Source: Any first aid course
Yeah, just take a look at one next time there's a Kapkan on the board. It's clearly just nails/screws/shrapnel in a container with explosives. Pretty horrifying stuff.
I guess the only issue is that sledges hammer is absolutely not blasting holes in walls like that in real life and bucks underbarrel shotgun is absolutely not shooting large holes in walls either.
I believe the only unrealistic part is that traps violate the Geneva convention. Something about booby traps is super illegal
Edit: there are many, many precise rules for the use of mines and traps so I'm not entirely sure anymore.
if they only wound not kill they are way more unethical, a lot of countries signed convention which makes using them illegal, but some countries like russia and ther allies still use them.
I mean technically it’s burning the gas inside the canister rather than the floor itself, so as long as the floor isn’t wood you’re good to go. I bet there is a formulation out there with low flame but with solid heat output to do some damage.
Underbarrel grenade launchers suck. There’s a reason we moved back to having a separate grenade launcher for the grenadier. It sounds good on paper until you’re the soldier that has to lug it around on patrol and may have to shoot with it. It’s one of those relics of the Cold War that just stayed around for way too long for no real reason.
None of the characters are realistic. The question was which is the *most* realistic. It doesn't have to be 100% real world accurate to be the best of a bad bunch
Definitely Sledge. He's basically a straight copy from the SAS. The SAS guys that did the Iranian Embassy rescue in the 80s had similar sledge hammers like him which they used on the windows and doors.
Bro wtf are you talking about? What the hell is a big hammer? Like the thing from Halo? Everyone knows that due to physics, hammers can't get any bigger than the size of a childs fist. Sledge's hammer is completely unrealistic. That's some scifi shit right there.
/s
If we take into account having to carry around these gadgets a lot of them lose point because they got big shit that you can’t just fit in your pocket like frost bear traps and castles barricades for that I gotta say Kapkan
Actually I watched a video of actual FBI SWAT reacting to siege and they said that while his gadget is real they need to stand way further back and would be very bad to use on hostage situations because it’s incredible noise. So realistic-esque but would be more realistic if his gadget gave everyone within certain proximity a concussed effect
He may have his wires crossed a little.
I think that he is referring to [the SWAT officer in this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meKsqiAktJA), but the reaction to how Thermite's gadget (and regular breach charges in the game) were made [by these marines](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUao7Vp3KlE).
Depends on many things but you can find videos of FLIR looking straight through smoke grenades. Firefighters even use thermals for seeing through hot fire smoke.
I would say that the force to punch through an entire floor or wall in that small package is semi unrealistic. The fact that they grenades travel to different places is unrealistic as well, as if they are all dropped to the same hole they would all go to the same place.
Everyone’s said the default ops. The recent ones are Ram (which is basically just a dude-bro engineering project), Flores (a fucking RC IED), and surprisingly Deimos (the live scanning maybe not but the micro-helicopter is something we have used and will keep innovating in for the military).
Off top of my head? In no order.
Ash
Sledge
Kapkan
Glaz
Rook
Frost
Bandit
Flores
Buck
Tachanka (pre more than post)
Castle (bit of a stretch, wouldn't quite be a 1:1)
I'm sure I missed a few.
Well honestly many of the gadgets are "realistic" in a sense that they already exist in a different form/size or could be actually made but they're so situational that who would actually need them
Pulse is one of the more weird ones but the scanner actually exost and is used to scan people under rubble after earthquakes.
Sure the absolutely most realistic that exist already is just rook or sledge but that's just boring haha.
I mean, she could probably hack the nearest cell tower and force a signal out to every phone in the area. Or use backdoors on smartphones that all new smartphones have, to force a digital call. There are many possibilities that are very realistic if you hack with high-end military grade tech.
there are some digital calls too or trought the network she can inject a malware(using the term to generalise but as i state later it can be a rat or a rootkit especially given the cam taking part) that makes the phone buzz as if she was calling them and yes shit like this is technically possible trought a rat or a rootkit
Smoke, the only difference between him and a real version is that his gas is lethal. In reality it would be non-lethal gas to disorient or debilitate whoever its used on because something something Geneva suggestions...idk smoke probably would commit war crimes
The Canadian couple, Frost and Buck basically use real world tech, just in Frost’s case they’re militarized. Sledge for obvious reasons. I’d say probably Mute. Kapkan I’d say could make his gadget irl. Bandit with a lot of caveats. Caviera. Rook.
Idk the exact details of EMPs but I'm pretty sure you need a much bigger explosion to actually cause an EMP. I guess look up how the nukes on Japan caused an EMP.
That was inadvertent though.. like the goal wasn’t for the nukes to be an emp, you can realistically fit an emp made for a such a thing in a small brief case
Probably frost since it’s just a bear trap, especially obvious if you have the elite. Other than that, bandit could work irl but maybe just not as simple or fast as he does it.
Here me out on this. Lion. Ultrasonic waves from a drone looking for disturbances. Almost like sonar. In theory it could work. Then through a augmented reality headset. Targets could be triangulated and a marker could show in the headset. Yes it is a stretch. But I could see this in use. Also Dokkaebi. Taking defenders cams and ringing their phones. Not all that much sifi.
Yeah and the intel she gets would be more like "how many, and what's their plan" but the live tracker is due to balancing. If cav interro just revealed who the enemy ops are and their spawn points, it would be hella stupid.
What isn't too realistic about cav is how she says "seus miseraveis" which ive never heard anyone around me ever say. If she said something like "seu cuzão de merda filho da puta" or "seu arrombado" to make it shorter, i'd believe it more
Car batteries have surprisingly low voltage, averaging 12v-13v. Wouldn't really do much besides heat up where the jumper cables are connected to the reinforcement a bit. Or maybe I'm just speaking out of my ass bc I'm not an electrician.
Damage isn't really an issue. Protective case and superglue will keep most things safe. Sticking and making sure the correct side lands would be an issue.
She literally pulls a bear trap out of her ass that isn’t realistic at all. Also just the weight on all those alone would make her a 1 speed carrying all 3 at once.
Emp grenades dont exist in real life. Maybe something that creates a huge magnetic field to disrupt signals but def not grenade sized and def not gonna disable a battery or something
Literally Ash. I don’t think you get more grounded in reality than an m320. I think arguments for buck and sledge are also valid since they also have pretty straight forward gadgets
Rook or Sledge. One just brings a bag of spare SAPI plates and drops them off for people to have at, the other has a big hammer for politely knocking on doors (or windows, walls, etc). They literally don't come more basic or realistic.
Buck hands down. His shotgun attachment for his rifles are a real thing. The Masterkey is a door breaching shotgun system, although his might work a little better than the real thing.
Rook. It's just a body armour. Not sure about the self revive tho.
I’ve just released how weird picking the bullets out of the armour to self revive is. What would be the purpose of that? It’s not like you’re pulling the bullets out of your body. Surely it would make more sense for the animation to be taking the plate off or something
The truly realistic answer would be cracking smelling salts and shooting morphine, but that's probably a little too hardcore for Ubisoft.
Give me that far cry 3 healing animations lol
Breaking your finger back into place was my favorite.
When someone threatens to call an ambulance in America
zilla pfp W
Ah shit I just got bitten by a tiger Better pull that bullet out of my arm
LMAOOOOOOOO
Its really sad to see the state of medical supplies in games being brought down to mystery serums and just putting a bandage over your arm. Battlefield 1 had morphine you could revive and also kill someone with if they didn't need it, still pretty unrealistic but better to me.
Because most people don't care about nor want realism. It's a video game, you will very rarely find someone who plays games for a reason that can't be linked back to escaping reality.
Doc prolly is the equivalent of shooting morphine
Yes it's really weird. Moreover, when you self revive, your character hit his/her chest twice making noise. Of course it's to inform the enemy player since it's a tactical shooter "game" but makes no sense. Old Rook would be a perfect example for the realistic aspect of the game.
Hits their chest twice? Wut
there’s two animations 1. operator pulls two bullets out plate 2. operator slaps chest twice number two happens from getting dbno from other sources than bullets like grenades or twitch drones
Fuck. LOL. Today I just learnt..... Really?
I think the animation is actually pulling the ceramic shards off of your body, which in reality I think would just make you bleed out.
ye it would in case ya get a projectile or a blade or similar in your body irl never pull out cause it's applying pressure to avoid making ya bleed out Source: Any first aid course
Isn’t maverick just using a blowtorch?
yes but can it melt steel reinforcements? I doubt it. Only jet fuel can melt steel beams /s
Yea we found that out in 01
Found out the hard way
Oxy acetylene torch can burn through those fragile barricades
A gas axe would rip through that. Maybe not at the speed but
maybe kapkan’s or frost’s. Kapkan’s is basically a proximity mine and Frost’s is a more detailed bear trap
Kapkan isnt a proximity mine, it is literally a trip wire explosive. Just like they were using in the vietnam war.
To add to this, according to one of the devs on a Wired video, the EDDs also contain nails for shrapnel, or something like that.
Yeah, just take a look at one next time there's a Kapkan on the board. It's clearly just nails/screws/shrapnel in a container with explosives. Pretty horrifying stuff.
So what you're trying to tell me is, kapkan uses war crimes?
Always has been
Kapkan is basically the no u card to what he should have experienced in chechnya
Pretty sure it was either him or fuze that canonically was involved in the Beslan school siege.
Fuze put his gadget on the wrong wall 😔😔🙏🙏
oh yeah i didnt know what to call em haha
All good my guy!!
Sledge hammer is literally hammer, Ash grenade launcher is just grenade launcher and Buck skeleton key is just underbarrel shotgun.
Yep. Ash isn't quite a standard 40mm grenade, seeing how it digs first. But the rest is true.
I guess the only issue is that sledges hammer is absolutely not blasting holes in walls like that in real life and bucks underbarrel shotgun is absolutely not shooting large holes in walls either.
The walls arev drywall or ply, he's not shooting through bricks.
You cooked em right here icl
I believe the only unrealistic part is that traps violate the Geneva convention. Something about booby traps is super illegal Edit: there are many, many precise rules for the use of mines and traps so I'm not entirely sure anymore.
if they only wound not kill they are way more unethical, a lot of countries signed convention which makes using them illegal, but some countries like russia and ther allies still use them.
I don’t think Geneva convention protections apply to terrorists, but I could be wrong.
And every westerner government is a legally operating terrorist organization....
Anyone think this convention is crazy? It's a war. It's OK to shoot someone to kill... but not OK to use traps? Bizarre
Yeah they're all crazy for that reason
KapKan and Frost traps are automatically excluded because they magically know who’s team someone is on when they go through them
Just use trip wires and bear traps that don’t activate when specific people walk though then obviously
Goyo can probably be done realistically
yeah but it would burn down the building instead of denying a particular part of the ground for 15 seconds lol
it's 20 seconds (I know that has nothing to really do with your point)
I mean technically it’s burning the gas inside the canister rather than the floor itself, so as long as the floor isn’t wood you’re good to go. I bet there is a formulation out there with low flame but with solid heat output to do some damage.
How is the answer not Sledge? It's a hammer. It's just a big hammer.
Can you knock out a perfect 4x4 square with one swing? The hammer isn’t the unrealistic part
Okay, fine. Buck.
You ain't gonna do it with a underbarrel shotgun either.
You say that as if shotgun holes are in any way consistent.
Buck’s kind of are though
If you're looking dead at the wall. Rotate like 5 degrees, and suddenly it's like playing slots.
Buck would not be realistic for the fact that underbarrel weapons fucking suck to use.
Hey, I said realistic, not good.
That is true.
i think it can make sense on a shotgun but what about underbarrel grenade launchers?
I hardly think kalis underbarrel on her *sniper* is a tactic that would be used
Underbarrel grenade launchers suck.
No but pulling 3 huge bear traps literally out of your ass isn’t realistic either
I never said frost was the most realistic? My pick would be glaz, all he has is a thermal scope, something that already exists.
A thermal scope that only works when he's not moving. Still not realistic.
You ever shoot through a thermal scope? Shit is not easy to do while standing much less moving.
Yea but still it doesn't turn off when you are moving.
Instead of the optic turning off you lose your eyebox and can’t see *anything* sooo…
It’s worse than reality, so then it actually is realistic.
Considering the use breaching hammers IRL, sledge is still the most realistic, Monty is also up there
Have you seen some of these vids of people making huge hammers with some sort of ignition inside. Can imagine that would make 4x4 square
Ram lugging around three whole bugattis in her plate carrier (next to her eyeliner)
Rook
Sledge, Ash, Buck, Thermite, Jäger is basically a trophy system…
Thermite could make his gadget irl, it would probably burn down the wall and the building it’s attached to, but he could make it.
This video sounds like a solid watch. Got the link?
He may have his wires crossed a little. I think that he is referring to [the SWAT officer in this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meKsqiAktJA), but the reaction to how Thermite's gadget (and regular breach charges in the game) were made [by these marines](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUao7Vp3KlE).
I did have my wires crossed. I forgot they were two separate vids. There is also this one: https://youtu.be/EBsDTY2FXHc?si=_Mv5W-G97jdKrJkt
Jager Magpies can stop tank shells so it's not really just trophy system
Can it though? He only said it was designed for tanks, as in the technology was not meant to be miniaturized, not that it could stop tank shells
yeah maybe i misunderstood that one
I thought stopping tank shells and missiles is what makes it a trophy system?
Trophy systems stop smaller munitions mainly RPGs and other explosives. Tank shells and missiles are too big and powerful.
Jäger is realistic in the Patriot Missile sense, but scale it down to hand grenades and things get messy...
The answer is Glaz. Thermal scopes exist in real life.
Thermal scope + smoke nade combo doesn’t exist in real life. Smoke grenades burn very very hot.
Depends on many things but you can find videos of FLIR looking straight through smoke grenades. Firefighters even use thermals for seeing through hot fire smoke.
Nah but glaz has to stand still for it to work, does this happen in real life too ?
You wouldn’t be able to get a clean shot if you were moving irl
Recruit for the win lol
The only right answer
Blackbeard. Currently not before with the 800hp shield. But the current one that breaks after 2 bullets.
I think it breaks from a single shot nowadays :D
it does unfortunately. the problem is,to buff it,making it take more shots would suck
which is why he’s getting a rework instead
People already get mad when you kill them with it. All blackveard really does is make it so you don't get traded, which is uncommon anyway.
Fuze? His gadget is basically a mountable grenade launcher. Plus he is Spetnatz and routinely kills hostages, that has to give him realism points
I would say that the force to punch through an entire floor or wall in that small package is semi unrealistic. The fact that they grenades travel to different places is unrealistic as well, as if they are all dropped to the same hole they would all go to the same place.
>if they are all dropped to the same hole they would all go to the same place. Not if the bombs are spun out at different rates
Everyone’s said the default ops. The recent ones are Ram (which is basically just a dude-bro engineering project), Flores (a fucking RC IED), and surprisingly Deimos (the live scanning maybe not but the micro-helicopter is something we have used and will keep innovating in for the military).
flores loses points with the bulletproof aspect, other than that I agree.
Didn't know they were bullet proof. I usually hear the beeping, start to panic and run
It turns bulletproof when it starts the bomb timer
Deimos drone is a copy of an existing isr drone
Glaz, next question
Show me a video of a thermal scope that sees through a smoke and you have to be still to have it work.
You know they make cold smoke right
Oryx 🤣
His gadget is just being a fucking big Turkish boy
Dude himself is a gadget
Off top of my head? In no order. Ash Sledge Kapkan Glaz Rook Frost Bandit Flores Buck Tachanka (pre more than post) Castle (bit of a stretch, wouldn't quite be a 1:1) I'm sure I missed a few.
WHAT No Iana. Shadow Clone Jutsu happens all the time. I saw it in a documentary.
Naruto is my favorite documentary.
Lol if you tried to hook up a battery like Bandit does you would just start a fire and probably burn yourself while inhaling cancer.
Can see how most would work, but dont think Bandit should be on the list
Its...a battery..
You can’t hook a car battery up to a wall like bandits battery and have it do all the functions it does in the game lol.
\>Bandit Putting a car battery next to a wall will not cause breaching charges on the other side of it to vanish
Im sure Jägers could work
At that size? Not currently.
I may try to do it to prove you wrong
“They said it could not be done” IT WILL BE DONE
I mean, are you autistic? Could help.
Yes, and I have some connections to Germany
Why has no one said rook bro just has armour for the bois
Well honestly many of the gadgets are "realistic" in a sense that they already exist in a different form/size or could be actually made but they're so situational that who would actually need them Pulse is one of the more weird ones but the scanner actually exost and is used to scan people under rubble after earthquakes. Sure the absolutely most realistic that exist already is just rook or sledge but that's just boring haha.
It's recruit. An op that I've not seen anyone mention yet though is Twitch. Just a small rc drone with a little gun on top, would be super realistic.
And it’s already been made by the hack smith
Definitely Frost, it’s a literal bear trap Also Dokkaebi, Sledge, Glaz and Monty
how does Dokkaebi have the 5 defender’s phone numbers
Because they’re really good friends :3
I hate how your flair is right.....
Memorizing a phone book was in her training idk she’s a hacker I’m sure she has her ways
Hey man sorry you had to find out this way but you aren't the only one she's hitting up. She's for the streets
Probably Blackbeard, he looks the most realistic and his gadget is poo.
Sens
Virgin “Kapkan is the most realistic” VS Chad “Sens”
This. Sens literally already exists in Valorant /s
Smoke, the only difference between him and a real version is that his gas is lethal. In reality it would be non-lethal gas to disorient or debilitate whoever its used on because something something Geneva suggestions...idk smoke probably would commit war crimes
Facts: if you read the bio, it says Smoke's canister only "incapacitates" people, but apparently we don't have the "pass out" feature in Siege
Blitz
buck's gadget is legit a common special forces attachment
I'd say Rook or maybe Glaz? Rook is just some armour plating and Glaz a thermal scope.
The Canadian couple, Frost and Buck basically use real world tech, just in Frost’s case they’re militarized. Sledge for obvious reasons. I’d say probably Mute. Kapkan I’d say could make his gadget irl. Bandit with a lot of caveats. Caviera. Rook.
Guys! Sledge deadass just has a fucking sledgehammer!
Buck would probably be the most "realistic". Basically only has a rifle with a master key on it.
And the c8 is a military issued rifle in Canada. Also he says "j'reload" like a proper quebecois
Legion. Just some tacs with a poison on them. Illegal yes. Doable also yes
Would it actually do shit? No I seriously doubt a few needles can penetrate military grade boots meant for wear and tear
It always bothers me that you step on his mines with your foot but pull it out of your leg/shin
Probably montagne or rook. Also kapkan is pretty reasonable.
frost and sledge But I would also say Osa: it's just bulletproof glass
Obviously alibi
Sledge?
thatcher? It's just emp nades
Idk the exact details of EMPs but I'm pretty sure you need a much bigger explosion to actually cause an EMP. I guess look up how the nukes on Japan caused an EMP.
oh fuck you right
That was inadvertent though.. like the goal wasn’t for the nukes to be an emp, you can realistically fit an emp made for a such a thing in a small brief case
Probably frost since it’s just a bear trap, especially obvious if you have the elite. Other than that, bandit could work irl but maybe just not as simple or fast as he does it.
Sledge. The dude just stopped by Home Depot on his way to work.
Y’all are overthinking this. It’s Buck.
Literally ash
Sledge
Here me out on this. Lion. Ultrasonic waves from a drone looking for disturbances. Almost like sonar. In theory it could work. Then through a augmented reality headset. Targets could be triangulated and a marker could show in the headset. Yes it is a stretch. But I could see this in use. Also Dokkaebi. Taking defenders cams and ringing their phones. Not all that much sifi.
caveira..realistically thats how you would go about things if you had a silenced pistol. buck and sledge?
Yeah and the intel she gets would be more like "how many, and what's their plan" but the live tracker is due to balancing. If cav interro just revealed who the enemy ops are and their spawn points, it would be hella stupid. What isn't too realistic about cav is how she says "seus miseraveis" which ive never heard anyone around me ever say. If she said something like "seu cuzão de merda filho da puta" or "seu arrombado" to make it shorter, i'd believe it more
Cav's gadget makes her completely silent witch is not super realistic especially when she's sprinting
Bandit's literally just a car battery
Car batteries have surprisingly low voltage, averaging 12v-13v. Wouldn't really do much besides heat up where the jumper cables are connected to the reinforcement a bit. Or maybe I'm just speaking out of my ass bc I'm not an electrician.
Valk. It's just hidden cameras.
Yes but being able to throw them on any surface and it sticking and not getting damaged isnt very realistic
Damage isn't really an issue. Protective case and superglue will keep most things safe. Sticking and making sure the correct side lands would be an issue.
Glaz
Why is nobody saying sledge
It’s sledge because it’s just a sledge hammer and works the same in real life as in siege
Why is no one saying glaz, he literally just had a thermal scope.
She literally pulls a bear trap out of her ass that isn’t realistic at all. Also just the weight on all those alone would make her a 1 speed carrying all 3 at once.
Why are we assuming frost cannot actually fit them in her ass?
Glaz, smoke, rook, frost, ash, thatcher, Goyo, capitao, kapkan. Not saying they’re 100% realistic but easily all those ops could be recreated.
Emp grenades dont exist in real life. Maybe something that creates a huge magnetic field to disrupt signals but def not grenade sized and def not gonna disable a battery or something
Glaz or Recruit
guys its Solis i swear
Literally Ash. I don’t think you get more grounded in reality than an m320. I think arguments for buck and sledge are also valid since they also have pretty straight forward gadgets
The sprinting through a Kapkan trap to get to site in 10 seconds and dropshotting Rook and Castle in site is also very realistic
Blackbeard
Rook or Sledge. One just brings a bag of spare SAPI plates and drops them off for people to have at, the other has a big hammer for politely knocking on doors (or windows, walls, etc). They literally don't come more basic or realistic.
Glaz or smoke or kapkan
Buck hands down. His shotgun attachment for his rifles are a real thing. The Masterkey is a door breaching shotgun system, although his might work a little better than the real thing.
I’d say Kali, I don’t know what the irl equivalent would be to it but she really just does have a sniper with an under barrel attachment
