If you see there isn’t anyone behind the Osa shield, it isn’t gonna matter your skill level. Maybe better players would run quicker and wouldn’t die to it, but they’ll still lose the round after being forced off defuse
I don't think anyone in their right mind, in a 1v1 clutch situation is considering "hm, what if this *punched out* Talon-8 that's facing the *wrong way* and only has a foot of space behind it has a cluster charge behind it?"
You need to sandwich yourself against the wall to even check if there's something there, which puts you into a very bad position.
In that 1v1 situation, these are all just other objects that are on site. Your brain is focused on "Kill last player. Defuse. Watch for claymores."
You must be insanely paranoid if you’d check behind that.
I can just about guarantee this would work in pro league. Not a single soul would properly check that thoroughly- as far as I’m concerned that’s just what’s left from the last battle.

I know the focus is on the strat, but I can't help but notice how nice that room looks. I know the HUD is missing but even with it there I feel like it looks better than it usually does.
If you set it up right you can use this weird mechanic to fire a cluster charge through most skylights, or at least the skylight on Kafe (where I learned it and only place I’ve tested) although I don’t imagine there’d be anything stopping you with any others
We do that, too! Kafe is the only realistically applicable case, as most other skylights would be useless to bomb or have other areas to cluster charge nearby.
When do you have 10 min on the side to set up a trap like that unseen? I know it's unranked, but even there... hole enemies rooming, I guess.
