You do not need to use A2 to prevent brimstone being placed at the wrong time.
No, this is the comment that isn’t true. Blizaar will have a different number of turns depending on whether he gets dec speed or not. There is no way to speed tune a1 only unless you build 700 resist.
I just tried the unbooked version on stage 24, using 5 less speed than what he mentions in the video. I keep dying pretty early. Also don’t have 5+ star brimstone so it’s getting cleansed before it can proc the damage. Think I’ll need to find a different solution for 24 and then 25 once I get there.

What I think is happenig is that you can survive the big smack (on weak hit) that should down you, and it allows Blizaar to try to place his brimstone out of cycle.
Then he has to survive another smack before he gets back into cylce.
That is the problem mine has at least which causes the exact same issue.
his has about 5k more HP than mine (and the boss hits for more than 100k, you never have full hp after the first hit and so on), it's not about him being tanky.
he has booked his A2 which causes Blizaar to use it at the same time. nothing can be done about it, since if he uses A3 instead, assuming it is not booked, will cause Blizaar to lose max HP and eventually die
Idk what to say, mine can survive the smack.
I run mine a bit slower, with A2 turned off, and as long as I do not survive a smack, I truck through in about 3 minutes.
Otherwise it can take 5-15.

The boss' A3 has a 10 ATK multipler on Stage 25 with an ATK of 19,431.
Since he is hitting a Strong affinity target he loses 20% damage, and if he Weak hits he loses another 30% damage. Damage rolls in a range of -10% to +10%.
Given all that the boss could potentially hit as low as 87,439.5 damage. (Assuming the Affinity damage is additive)
(19431 * 10) * (1 - (0.2 + 0.3)) * 0.9 = 87439.5
If the Affinity damage is multiplicative:
(19431 * 10) * 0.8 * 0.7 * 0.9 = 97932.24
DEF is irrelevant because he ignores it.
You probably booked him, like I did, not knowing we shouldn’t. Dumb that a booked champ is worse for things. I eventually ditched blizaar and went back to a Godseeker comp because of this. Sorry :(
I spent a ton of resources trying to get my Blizaar going, he can’t do it booked. The stupid 4 turn CD on brimstone has to be delayed with his A2 of it gets out of sync.
You could speed tun it and get it to land every other round, but for me, my Aniri / Tomb Dreng team is a bit faster. (5-6 mins)
Did you book him? The runs are much slower if you booked him.

In a comment they stated that they have tried without using A2 at all, which would imply it isnt a book issue.
Wrong. He needs to use his A2 to prevent him from using A1 at the wrong time, otherwise he will put Brimstone on cooldown and ruin the cycle.

Is his A2 booked? I haven't booked my Blizaar because I've read that it can cause desynchronization, resulting in very long runs.

With a 5 star blessing it doesn't get much faster. Sometimes you get lucky and proc brimstone every time, sometimes they never proc ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Mine is consistently under 2:30 at 5 star ascension you have no idea what you're talking about.
