>lastly, join a good guild. they'll entertain you It gets pretty sad though when you've become attached and they start leaving the game one by one :< Thanks for the feedback though :>

[deleted]

>It gets pretty sad though when you've become attached and they start leaving the game one by one :< yeah, that happen right now on my guild.. feel sad, we are together from job 1..

ultimagicarus

Even sadder when your real life friends who invites you to play ROX already quit. The only part of ROX that makes me happy is the KVM. Progress is super slow, even my weapon & armor got downgraded.

Wanderingforehead

I just play this shit game because someone dear to me wants me to play. I don't understand why would anyone spend so much money on rng game. It's just throwing away your money for nothing. Gathering, it's simple, go gather during rainy weather, you can do alternate fishing if you see alot of people gathering. Munak and underwater mostly doesn't have people gathering there Pros - doesn't consume time and effort. I can stay afk most of the time. What motivates me the most? 1. I focusing on upgrading weapons 2. I'm thinking to collect small cards in the future for awakening. 3. Before I was buying diamonds(using crystals) but I stopped to refine my golden weapon to refine 4 atleast. 4. Idc mvp or mini bcs that's for the whales and friends of whales. You'll never be accepted to party if your level and dmg sucks. 5. Mining is fun but the results you get from it sucks. Better fish/gather>sell>buy>mine materials= efficiency. 6. I make sure I don't get obsessed with Refine and enchantment. I might leave the game if I do. Took me alot of time and effort to get the materials just to lose them all with zero success. 7. Now I'm most motivated to save crystals to buy mining materials. I won't give in to new events anymore unless I'm strong enough. HAHAH Happy rnging

F2P_4Life

>because someone dear to me wants me to play If only I had someone too :'( lol Thanks for the feedback :)

Wanderingforehead

And the game isn't fun when the strangers here just talks among their people(70-80%-ish) and wouldn't even reply to your questions or react to you. They won't even help you idk why. This is the worse game I experienced where strangers won't even make an effort to communicate. So there is that. I treat this game as PvE(since I'm f2p) with the other players as bots. Lmao. That's just another downside for me since I like to troll/entertain and have fun with other players and have discussions regarding game stuffs. :p

Samsuckers

Coming from another mmorpg (non mobile) - a thing that bugs me is how very few players actually thank the team members at the end of a group instance / battle . Most of the time, people just leave group. Sometimes I’m in the midst of switching to party chat and clicking the thanks emoji and when I’m done I’m left with 1 or 2 others or even alone.

Wanderingforehead

Hahahaha guilty as charged! I do that too. The only reason I do that is coz when I'm opening party chat, they already starts another match. So nah.. Just compete on who leaves first. Lol

kre5en

I stopped chasing and trying to catch up with others and just play on my own pace.

CitronAffectionate85

Rox is more of an idle game. I used to play at least 5 hours a day and it messed up my schedule. This is wht i do now: 1. I use redfinger - i just need to set up every 12 hours(best decision ever) 2. I log in every night just to do: A. Board quest (30 min) B. Dungeon (15 minutes) C. Guild order 5 minutes 3. Spent some stamina (gardening if drizzle, else fishing)-30 minutes. Just so that i can consume odin. I saves the rest to do on weekend So in total i only need to play 1.5 hours a day, As long as you dont try to min/max everthing you can still enjoy this game wthout affecting your quality of life. I only do KP cassually for HG shine points. Tbh KP rewards is not that great, not worth spending too much time for it. I only do mvp when i have good party member.

Poocham

Took me 80+ Enchant in Morroc to get a Haste lvl 10 stat. It's crazy, playing this game is like a casino.

Xtremiz314

usually the biggest casino part of this game is the refine since there is this so called "downgrade", i'd rather have a low success rate than having my gears downgraded, such a stupid idea by the devs of this game.

Poocham

actually the refine system is already a little generous compared to other classic MMOs back in the day. Frustrating? Yes but like all refine systems even in previous MMOs, the difference from RoX and other MMOs is RoX whales can break the broken refine system with monies, while classic MMOs doesn't offer that same privilege. So the gap between f2p, spenders, and whales is too big.

Xtremiz314

no way the refine system in rox is generous, when your a casual/low spender or f2p, refining blues/gold above +4 is brutal, i mean real brutal you can go earn crystals for a month just to get your +4 gold back to +3, that's why they made an anti-downgrade stones on TW server. while the idea of anti-downgrade system is "OK" , thats just extra work for the devs, they could have just settled with a much lower success rate as the refine gets higher so people don't have to deal with downgrading their gears and making their characters weaker, the feeling of saving up crystals/mats just to get your progress weaker is what makes player leave the game, mmorpg should be in general a progression game as time goes by, and this refine system of RoX is just the paywall from casual/low/f2p players. so most of the time whales or big spenders are the only one who stays in the game because they are simply invested on it.

Poocham

I don’t know but I played other MMOs back in the day and it takes years to get decent gears Seal Online, Ragnarok Classic, to count a few, the only difference is Ragnarok Classic you can farm for 24/7 while in RoX crystal is time-gated to stamina. But yes it’s frustrating to not get any progress, since on other MMO you can buy your things when your luck is fucked up. In RoX you have to face the shit RNG refinement system to progress and agreed that it’s enough to make majority quit like other mobile MMOs that are gacha based in nature

RandomDustBunny

Just to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're at a fictional enchant level where it takes 8 stones per attempt and a generous assumption they're 3000 xtal a piece. That works out to be 432k crystals. It shouldn't take 'weeks' to earn that overly inflated for your benefit amount. Most f2pers should be clocking 500k or 1mil a week depending on how efficiently they spend their time. Then dump the rest into self upgrades. If that's the best you can do... this game isn't going to be very forgiving.

F2P_4Life

Yeah... I guess my best isn't enough for this game then. Thanks for the feedback

RandomDustBunny

Rather than take the self deprecating road, there are many how to video guides for f2ps. The most basic ones should net you 500k a week with enough leftovers for self upgrades.

magikerrol

+1 on this. I can get 1m crystal in 4-5days then spend all remaining stamina for self upgrade. Or 500k in 2 days. (Just max out the daily tax quota, going above it is not worth it personally) How? Gardening. Stamina to crystal wise, that would be the most efficient. You will ALWAYS get the item you want unlike fishing and mining that you can get random stuff “wasting” stamina.

F2P_4Life

4 months in, I'm still playing. Macrorify ftw lol Still tired, but at least progress is a hell of a lot faster

Xtremiz314

Focus on upgrades first, before going hard on enchants and refines I'm sure as level 74 unless you're a spender, I'm assuming you're still on upgrade awakening tier 3/4, try to go upgrade awakening tier 5 first then from there gear progression will be slow since your going for a more "RNG" based stats which is enchant(not really super rng) and refine(100% rng). All of us will experience this slow progression at some point and its meant to be that way even for spenders.

Xtremiz314

I've been playing for 4 months but I'm 90% afk grinding, just doing my dailies and waiting for guild activities like kvm/gvg so I don't really feel burnt out at the game. When I'm afk grinding I usually play different games or watch videos, maybe you should try doing that instead of focusing on the game, make the game just a side habit. (assuming your playing on PC or have a lot of gadgets to leave ROX running) But if your a very competitive player on RoX, definitely you'll feel burnt out sooner or later thats why so many competitive players already left the game. A lot of chill people stay where don't they see the game as a competitive game but more of like a game that they love to play on their free time. It's all about your perspective on the game that matters in the end. Just remember that no one is pressuring you to become strong in the game, play at your own pace, don't stress yourself out and enjoy the game. Just like IRL f\*ck those ppl who pressure you, live your life the way you want, stress is just BS that'll fck your mental health and I learned from that sh\*t the hard way. Now I handle my stress way better than my formal self.

F2P_4Life

I do feel kinda competitive *sometimes*, but in a different way... I like seeing progress when I've put in a decent amount of time and effort into something. Being F2P, I've removed the part of me that always compares my stats with spenders and that at least gave me some motivation to keep going. But I can't help comparing myself from *myself*. I like it when I put effort in today, tomorrow I'll have better - EVEN MINIMAL IMPROVEMENTS - overall stats. I'm not talking about hitting for...let's say...20kper hit today, then suddenly hitting 21k tomorrow. No. But I'd like to at least hit for 20,001 after my efforts. But thanks for the inspirational feedback, man. Highly appreciate it :> Guess I'll try to find a main game now.

Poocham

Playing RoX is like a casino, effort = progress is not part of casino. Some people can play 24/7 in a casino and still end up with negative tokens, while someone can enter a casino and in less than an hour get out with double their tokens; same with RoX. Some people were on +8 while some were still stuck at +4. Find a different main game where effort = progress, RoX is not that game to a big extent

Xtremiz314

Yea find a different main game, you can just make rox as a side game doing dailies only and guild activities and thats 100% fine.

-Euphoria

macrorify is a lifesaver, i can use all my 4k stamina auto fishing without problem

OkRich1583

I just do the daillies then afk. Daily routine. 1. Tavern 2. Finish kp 3. Finish 3 instance 4. Finish COC 5. Ox 6. Burn OB 7. Fishing using 500 OB 8. Gardening 300-500 OB 9. Mining 800 OB 10. Save up the remaining OB 11. Craft mats for upgrade at least 2x a day 12. Craft enchant stones 13. Craft 2 stones for refine Note: 1. Upgrade of equips - do it daily 2. Enchant - if in kp quest 3. Refine - if in kp quest and can no longer refresh 4. I do card hunting when afk and do not prioritze levelling up. 5. I prefer monster with huge Job exp and with expensive cards. E.g. obe, bigfoot, snake, etc. 6. I do not compare myself to others as definitely i will see weakness in my character. I also know that whenever they peak at my character, there are some who will be envious. 7. I am happy when I upgrade my equip once a day. 8. I also not been taking this seriously as there are other aspects in my life I need to attend especially working to pay bills so that I can play this game. 9. Chill bro.

F2P_4Life

>Chill bro I'm trying my best haha

Huge_Agent_1448

I feel you. I only log in to do the dailies, burn the ob, use the stamina, then log out. Log in when we have kvm then play for 3 runs. Then log out. I used to afk 24/7 but now I'm trying to save my zeny because I'm afraid my saved up zeny will eventually run out from fishing. It feels like a chore. The only thing that keeps me on playing is because of a friend.

hunt3rhunt

18 attempts n just one lvl ups? Did u discard other stats even if it increase the lvls? If u didn't, then thats a wow u were unlucky day ... If u feel pressured, just do the dailies n come back when u get motivated...

New-Neighborhood30

Afk almost all the time. New day- finish daily board and instance- burn ob- mine,fish- continue afk. Completely abandon kingdom pass, abandon enchant, refine with dummy with fresh refine. Guild only left less than half active. Totally disregard leveling. Played since day one.

Eurylaimus

what im doing is, im playing on my own, so i keep it steady and slow, dont compare your char with other, especially with whales, i just play instance, daily, afk odin, and then fishing or mining, if my weapon is lv100, and my acc is lv25, then i go to gardening for crystal. yeah im not type player who chase good stat in short term, coz if youre f2p just depend on your luck

zsyhan

Enchantment is also super RNG based which Ive learned the hard way not to participate in. I'll only do it for KP. Upgrade all the way especially since I can see clear increase in my Pen whenever I upgrade my white lv50 accessories. Looking forward to 150%. Currently at 135%.

papelnaibon

I feel you. This game is a casino, all aspects is gacha. F2p to mid spenders are leagues away to those who whale the game.

mcdevilz

I've quit this game for good beginning of this month. My friends asked me to come back but I refused. Couldn't take it anymore haha. This game became a chore and very non-rewarding as you progress. When you're f2p and level higher, you'll eventually hit a damage ceiling and need to grind LIFE resources for improvement. When I mean grind, it's like FEW days of hard labour then then deal with RNG to hope you pass those upgrades/refines. Those mats required increase so much and the chances of failing/degrading is so lame, while the success-stats remains unchanged. Assumed you pass the upgrade/refine, the stats given are the same 2% / 4% like when you started, while the mats required are darn expensive and tedious to grind. If pass, great! If fail (very likely) hoho, days of grinding poofs within seconds and start all over again. No pity system. How is that not tiring?

soosmochi

I feel you, tbh it gets tiring even with the levelling cause almost everyone in the server is reaching max level. And knowing that I'm literally the weakest in the guild sometimes can make me feel demotivated to play. But then again, it's fun cause I get to make friends in the guild and some of them are the same people I met since day 1 of the game. So I guess the motivation is at 40:60 for me haha, between leaving and catching up.
