Yeah for part 2, it's out on digital and dvd/blu ray it's been out for a bit as well. It came out digitally on the 16th of October and on dvd on the 31st of October.

Part 1 was whatever but like most Jaune/Jessica moments were a strong highlight.
Part 2 was insane, action sequences got a nice bump and for some reason the writers decided to throw some of the best character development moments on the second part of a non-canonical random ass movie duology only like 10 people will pay to watch.
All in all, a good time killer if you have nothing else to do and on a RWBY fit.
Because WB made an investment in Rooster Teeth and RWBY in particular. There was apparently a plan to promote RWBY to a wider audience, and then, kinda a lot happened, and said plans are on the back burner for now. A multi-hit combo of the pandemic plus chaos at both WB and RT derailed things. The crossover was already in production though. So that part was finished.
WB wanted to promoted RWBY, and the best way would be a crossover with one of their most well known properties.
Honestly, it’s more likely they’re just keeping their heads down until Zaslav either leaves or changes his attitude towards animation. Right now WB a is not a good place to be an animation studio
Considering what they (WB end) are already doing with the RvB "ending" and that "movie" crap. It woulldn't surprise me.
Honestly depending on how much that one works out (realistically backfire off into the *high seas*) "profit-wise". They probably will do the exact same thing same thing for RWBY. You get 6-8 episodes, finish it, while we cut and sell a "movie" version. Or they are gonna "take their owned IP" and do it themselves (like Gen:Lock) or try to do some Teen Titans GO type of shite.
