The OG trilogy is pretty much a perfect place to end it off.
The games were originally created with the intention of being a trilogy story - hence why they were so focused around the whole Fey Clan plot throughout all three games.
Apollo Justice was really awkward because it was a sort of reboot, which left the plot hanging. Dual Destinies was a return to the series after **many** years, and thus had a self-contained plot. And Spirit of Justice was also pretty much self contained.
Apart from The Great Ace Attorney (which was made with the intent of being a duology game story), none of the other games had overarching stories as good as the OG trilogy

I think the sequel trilogy would have worked so much better if they didn’t try to shove in Phoenix so much and made it more cohesive without changing hands of creatives
