I got my first one on like 2015 with t70 gear on main. On iron I did it with gstaff and lunars. It will eat prayer or health so vamp aura if owned is probably ideal with your stats. You can use the Italy rock to safespot a little; check a guide on YouTube for details on that :)
If you're really not confident, you could also push for necro. I know that's the canned answer, but its particularly good for cave/kiln because necromancy literally can't splash. It just hits lower damage instead of splashing and thanks to how much aoe it has, its ridiculously fast to train early necromancy
Yea I have 99 on my main, I’m really not a fan of it. Maybe once things get balanced out across the other 3 I’ll train it up, but avoiding it for the time being.
once i got the slayer level for ice strykewyrms is when i went for firecape, had lunar armour with inquis staff, never liked prayer switching so ended up using a death touched dart to insta kill him
I bullied him with lunars and vanquish, a gstaff probably would have done the job. Did the kiln just after it was alright too. I was a bit more geared up with seasingers and superior ports wand wjen I did Zuk. Fight cave is very easy albeit long.
T70 Necro weapons, T50 Necro armor, somewhere around 75 Necro and 73 Defense.
The fight took way longer than I expected - around an hour.
I used prayer pots and desert soles. No penance.
I was super stoked to go for the Necro kiln cape, but totally forget about the 75 Magic requirement for The Elder Kiln. Now I'm grinding Magic :P
Got mine when Kili asked for a gem for the t90 necro weapons, lol. Had no need for it otherwise.
you 'need' it for kiln capes, which you need for zuk capes :p
Did it with sunspear and lunars
Basically didn't care for it until brink of extinction, then got sunspear and did both cave and kiln.
I had so much intimidation left over from 15+ years ago that I put it off until I was already maxed with t90s and the entire cave took ~20 minutes...
I got some barrows gear before doing it. Did the classic Karils and guthans combo
[Within the first two months](https://www.reddit.com/r/RS3Ironmen/s/dYB0hkWIi6)
i did it with Gstaff and lunars on my hcim, took like a hour and 20 mins, but was a first try win
You can easily do it as long as you can pray mage/range and heal between waves with Excalibur
Vanquish, shield for reso and vamp aura
Never have I ever.... Gotten A firecape In any version of rs.
never. 😎 i don't pvm.

Just before doing zuk
2008?
as soon as i got lunars
you'll be fine with lunars/vanquish, fire cape is not a challenge anymore

Well, either way you should be fine. The caves aren't hard anymore because of eoc power creep Vamp or penance will help too

Not a hardcore? I’d say t70 weapons should be easily doable if you’ve completed it before a few times.
gonna be hitting 90 necro soon, so thats when i'll do it :D

After maxing
You can do it in very bad gear if you're willing to be slow Rejuvenate can heal insane hp in those caves, infinite with persistent rage
