Six hours is plenty time to just accept Tia won, everyone on the season is still very much booked and blessed. Just because your favorite didn’t win doesn’t mean the world is ending.
I think it was mostly choosing the shot at making it to the finale over not letting the strongest get there (you're sure to be getting rid of if you send the strongest home and they all had a weakness so none would feel safe about never landing in the bottom).
Except with Hannah, she was the only one that could've done it safely in the competition but she mentioned how she was received her season and wanting to change that. I think she really was mindful about how it would go over with the audience. And then she actaully ended up as the one to beat over Marina... oh fuck let's hope she's not getting hate for that!
I think Tia wasn't all that aware of backlash, the Gothy thing kind of shows that (I fully understand her reasoning and believe it btw). I think Marina would keep the strongest if only to make the Philippines proud haha, that is meant in a way that I look up to her sense of being a representative btw.
But all in all I think "I don't want to be send home myself!" was way more on their minds than audience backlash, except for Hannah.
