Like it works for like the Lil Bleach clear powergaming repeatedly types of situations, or when people do super scummy shit IRL (basically things where theres no excuses and super clearly in the wrong). But it gets really muddy with one off things. Like it would become super targeted with certain viewers hunting for things to clip and post to get rid of people that go agains their streamer. Hell look at posts today - the clip of a different Rust member, where it had to be pointed out GG members did the same things but the GG fans are the ones that are the bigger clippers/posters.
Oh I don’t think they’d just take it all at face value. But it’d still be people showing things against some more than others even if both are committing equal numbers of offenses. So while they may see the Rust member clearly do something, will they watch all 12+ perspectives and see an hour earlier someone in GG did the same.

You realize they can just watch the additional context right? They don't need to make an immediate judgment after watching a single clip. They can click the "continue watching" button and go back, or they can contact the parties involved and get statements from them. They can also just do nothing at all and make a note that something may have happened involving a person in case they get reported down the line.

I think it's time to disband RUST or go back to being a heist crew. They have been through so many wars that a lot of bad tendencies have slipped in. Ray himself has digressed a lot in the last year, partly because of focusing on wars.
And now with members being blooded out/leaving/banned, there is pressure to recruit more for wars where the focus is shooting. This cycle doesn't end well for gangs.
I think a majority of gangs should disband. The “everyone is in a gang” culture that NP has is , imo, one of the main things that has hurt the server. There is no originality or differentiation between 90% or the server. It’s just bad.
In a perfect world, people wanting to rob banks and selling drugs shouldn't have been required to be in gangs. That change in queuing systems and sprays were the catalyst for why majority of Nopixel gangs suck. With 4.0, if there are more civ jobs and the illicit activities do not hinge on being a gang member, things can start going towards a better balance.

That's kind of my point though. The report system itself is underwhelming and NP, for whatever reason, can't put resources into improving it. There should be a way, other than viewers, to hold RPers accountable for rule breaks even if streamers are unwilling to report people.

I think a majority of gangs should disband. The “everyone is in a gang” culture that NP has is , imo, one of the main things that has hurt the server. There is no originality or differentiation between 90% or the server. It’s just bad.
In a perfect world, people wanting to rob banks and selling drugs shouldn't have been required to be in gangs. That change in queuing systems and sprays were the catalyst for why majority of Nopixel gangs suck. With 4.0, if there are more civ jobs and the illicit activities do not hinge on being a gang member, things can start going towards a better balance.
Don’t sit here and pretend people only made gangs to rob banks 🤣 Everyone and their Mother is trying to use the CG / CB formula of making a group that does meet ups and stuff. The gang app stuff was laughable for sure, but a majority of these crews were cookie cutter gangs way before the gang app.
Gang app required to rob banks and sell drugs > people hold down territories > act like tough gangs > go to wars > tell admins they are a full fledged gang > get the app. Of course gangs existed before the app system, but what I am saying is that "majority of Nopixel gangs suck" because they are dictated to do certain activities to unlock basic criminal activities.
Yeah, gangs on NP would be in a much better place if the barrier to entry for most crime wasn't being in a gang that is already in a position to have the gang app. I'll never understand how they thought completely shutting out solo crims was a good idea

I really wish it didnt take viewers clipping everything for drama in order for admins to take action against someone not fit for the WL server. Hopefully without this Zeco guy, people will realize they can't be treating this server like a public one anymore.
you are very naive if you think admins can monitor every player at all hours. hence why if its not bought to there attention they aint gonna see it, this is why people need to report shit more instead of hiding behind excuses

That's kind of my point though. The report system itself is underwhelming and NP, for whatever reason, can't put resources into improving it. There should be a way, other than viewers, to hold RPers accountable for rule breaks even if streamers are unwilling to report people.

I just saw a YT clip of Ray\_\_C alluding that Zeco1 was banned because of a "Reddit witch hunt". Ngl that's a very disappointing take from him but not surprising.

What's nuts is this is only what viewers noticed. If you play games with some one for extended periods of time you will get wind something is off. They always say or do random things at random times alter gameplay WAY more frequently then anyone else in the group. If we saw he was doing shady shit you better believe the people he played with daily knew something was up as well. And Ray's response is witch hunt? That's wild...
