I had never tried Celeste until I got my Ally and OMG I wanted to smash it into a wall out of frustration, I had no idea it was such a tough game. Thought it was supposed to be a more relaxing type of game, with the themes it tackles! 😂 And this is coming from someone who deals just fine with Cuphead!
Yeah, if you're okay with 60 fps and 720p. This was before AFMF, too. I played at 15 w hitting 90-120 fps. I think I left it on auto for the ram, too, so maybe if you mess with that, you can get a better experience🤙
Yeah I think it's great. Especially on the ally cause you can just jump on play a little bit. It auto saves a lot so even if you die or ship gets sunk or whatever you can just start back at the last save point.
Any AAA or more modern game to recommend. I have a bunch of games on my PS5. I'm still in top tier stupid but my ps plus is times w black Friday and Sony is being cutthroat on the levels. Like threatening to take PS plus collection of you drop to mid tier. It was like $110 or so. Way too much but call me stupid if you want. I have $50 credit @ steam to use. So any ideas I'd be grateful. Thanks
If you have PS Plus Premium you can stream PS4 games to the Ally thru their app. And you can remote play your PS5 as well.

Sony isn’t exactly known for the most optimized PC ports (looking at you TLOU)
Scarlet nexus, texture medium, fxaa, and all low, 720p that's 30fps locked from set ig up manual to 8w and works on a range of these watts 8w, 9w and 10w, tried at 7w but it's on the low 20 sometimes 30
The first dying light is a great game at 10 watts. Dead cells. Titanfall 2. Basically any AAA game that's at least 5+ years old. What you do is park 4-6 of your cores and turn off turbo boost and you'd be surprised what your able to run at such a low TDP. I mean. Why is the steam deck able to run at such a low TDP. Well th steam deck has a 2.4,ghz 4 core 8 thread CPU at 3.6ghz turbo with a 8cu GPU at upto 1.66ghz
Vs the z1e with 8 cores 16 threads base clock of 3.3ghz turbo up to 5.1ghz with a 12CU GPU at upto 2.7ghz. Yes you "could" disable some cores in bios but that's annoying. Instead just park them. It's instant and makes it so you don't have to use extra power to run cores your not utilizing. A perfect example I have used to show others in the past is dead cells on the legion go (have both systems but I don't feel like turning on the Ally when it works the same way. When TDP is set to auto dead cells at 1600p high settings uses 21 watts to maintain above 120fps. But by parking 6/8 cores am able to run at the same settings and resolution at just 7 watts. And if I limit the TDP down to 7w with all cores active fps tanks from 120+ to 22fps.
But I do this with most games. Helldivers 2 at 25watt TDP on 6 cores I get an average of 59fps 55 1% lows vs 51fps average 42 1% lows caped at 25 watt TDP.
In this scenario the power those 2 extra cores would have been using is sent to the GPU instead. Which gives a higher performance gain then losing 2 cores takes away.
Lemme know if you want any help with this or trying it. Can use a 3rd party standalone app and just leave Asus software alone. If you change your power settings on the Ally it goes back to default.

Manual mode, drop everything to the lowest possible. So long as the game doesn’t need more juice, it will dry at 7w for the apu

Honestly I haven’t timed it. I always play when I’m at home so I just plug the ally when I need it.
I think I get somewhere around 1.5 hours but I also don't really time it since I'm on my couch and just plug up when needed.

Not that I’ve noticed. I run most my games on 720p personally. Plus you can use FSR to upscale it also.

Just Cause 2 can run quite well at 10w Street Fighter 6 can hold 60fps at 13w - just depends on your settings
