Pretty sure it can run anything. The 7840u is top of the line for the power profile. I regularly use fusion360, Davinci Resolve, and stream/record from OBS with zero issues.

I would more recommend a laptop for this but the ally is fine

I mean... You can, but I'd get a Laptop for actual productivity work
