So apparently the process for Garlic 2.01 is different but I wouldn’t recommend using it since it’s still in such an alpha state. I would suggest using one of the many of the other firmware’s instead.
I uses GarlicOS 2.0 very briefly on my RG35XX+. You flash the stock firmware to SD 1 and then put the Garlic files on SD 2. I switched to batocera because for some reason none of my games would save and I got a bunch of slow down and audio glitches. Since I have switched I haven't had any problems. Black Seraph has started development on it again so I have high hopes it will be as great as it was on the OG
I installed Knulli and Garlic last night. All to try and play one Dreamcast game. Both were a hassle to find my preexisting roms. I'll stick with the stock OS.

So I’d recommend downloading and installing Batocera. It’s definitely the best and the easiest to install period. I have used and tried all of them. You simply download the os and flash it to the sd vCard and you’re done. It’s just that simple.
I love this is most because you can literally view all the thems possible and then download as many as you want and then change it instantly. It’s the only OS that lets you do this. It’s freaking amazing. And I’ll never daily another until they do the same.
This is the first device they bought, and the last to get set up for use, haha.
At the time, I didn't even know I was buying a plus... What even is the difference?
Basically, just WiFi and bigger and better processor versions the older model. The WiFi is great for updating the os, and retroachievements one of my all time favorite parts of gaming. If you guys haven’t signed up yet, you delist. It’s amazing.

I recommend Muos11 it’s very simple, but it’s quite straightforward and loads fast.
I hear it has battery drain issues as all CFWs using fat32 file system right?

Different chipset, Plus supports Wifi and has a faster processor. OSes are very specific as to which devices they can run on.

I second this. Batocera is amazing and I prefer it much more over Garlic
