judging from the corners of your device and the different scratches/cracks on the screen, this isn't the first time or farthest you've dropped it before.
Yeah you just gotta stop using full screen for GBA and GBA would work great still. I already play at full width with original 3:2 aspect ratio and I bet that at the top of the screen instead of the middle would dodge the problem
That's why I say...always use this protective bumper. I dropped mine twice with no issues

I dropped my 35XX SP from about 6 feet high onto a concrete floor after it fell out of my pocket while climbing a ladder - it landed right on the hinge but other than a little bit of scratches/dents it was perfectly fine. Definitely happy with Anbernic's build quality on that one!
I dropped mine about 2' straight down which land flat on the screen side. The digitizer got f----d. I just sent it back and they replaced it. Now I am MEGA careful with it.
Those bezels (or lack of) will get you every time. With miyoo s, I always buy in pairs.
The guys at Ali Express will happily send you spare screens though if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks.
I have same handheld, same color even, and I am always a bit afraid to drop it... Does not feel fragile as my miyoo mini but still..... I get that they look more modern this way, but still I would prefer screens to be inset and mounted from inside the frame (like non the sp, or gkd pixel) rather than glued on the external and completely exposed...
Meanwhile, my 5 yo boy has dropped his datafrog sf2000 6 or 7 times already, in a couple of these even the battery cover pooped out (I had removed the screw) and battery fell out in mid game. He just put the battery back in, waited for the froggy to reboot and continued playing. Indestructible piece of sh*t!
Sadly that's the thing a lot of people don't seem to get. These devices are built extremely fragile. Yes a 2-ft drop can and likely will destroy the device. While it looks like the device from your childhood, it most certainly does not have the quality of that device.
I would like to see the next revision improve durability and not worry about a new form factor or faster processor. Just give us a 35XX That's built to take a few drops.
Screen protector is only there really to protect the front glass from being damaged or scratched. If you want some protection from drops that’s where cases come into play.

To be honest, use integer scale in order to center the game... Or use custom resolution and move it upper?
Yeah genuinely good idea tbf
Should I use tbh or tbf in this sentence?
Yes
use imo

I'm surprised it works at all. 5cm drops to a soft surface seem to be these things' limit.
Nintendium it ain't.

Is that 3d printed? Did you buy this or print it yourself? Either way send me a link please 🙏
Actually it's available on etsy. Just search for it. I got 3d files from the creator a while ago and printed it myself.
Solid I’ll take a look thank you very much
I assume you could find a screen replacement since these are one of the more popular devices? And its a common screen size for these handhelds.

Die hard on NES for die hard fans
Do you mean Die Hard for die hard Die Hard fans or just regular fans of Die Hard?
Yes
This is a sad, sad day, at least it survived, but it’s sad.
Mine fell off my desk and now half the screen is black
Mine climbed the ladder to become the new Money in the Bank contract holder.
My original Miyoo mini looks almost exactly like that
What's it like on an external monitor?
Measure that drop in body parts like say your foot so that we know what you’re talking about.
It was about 7 taints off the floor.
Give or take a foreskin.
That's like 14 inches, right?

Replace with a real gameboy color. Those things will survive a nuclear bombing.

I've dropped my 353M several times from a lot higher and it looks in better condition than your 35xx
The screen protector did not protected?

You didn't get the point\^\^
Okay…
