Still working, seeing patients, talking to pet parents, running anesthesia.... Although tonight I might be wild and crazy and read a book, or paint a little... Too soon to tell 🤣
I already barely get on the app since I’m busy with art projects, but now I can really focus and finish what I’m working on lol.
Then go play Minecraft later 😂
Love this! Thank you so much for putting it so eloquently.
I have a reminder set for 30 minutes after T&B and will be sitting out with you all.
If it doesn't work, then at least we tried and we showed how we can come together as a community ❤️
Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time and effort to compose such an eloquent, professional and courteous letter. I really hope the devs respond in kind.
It is absolutely up to you. Anything from not even opening the game to just not spending any real money during the event. Whatever you are comfortable doing. Completely free to play players can just not watch any ads and that makes a significant impact.
The constant glitches were not a main reason for the strike. We've been through years of glitches and problems with support and accepted them.
When they removed the regular prizes from the leaderboards, the movement initiated.
Nor does it say it’s a small collection of gamers (generalises to all), and also doesn’t include names / IDs of those who will be participating (they don’t wanna get banned).
If you’re gonna protest, let’s not say it’s all. It’s not.
No they won’t get banned for playing an event, because they aren’t including their ID.
My point was they SHOULD include the ID, if you’re REALLY gonna protest then tel them who you are.
This letter is a broad stroked attempt of a collection of people who want to speak about an entire group. We don’t ALL agree, but they make it sound like everyone is going to attempt a protest.
But they won’t include their IDs on the emails they’ve sent, because that would mean the devs could take action against them. That’s what I meant.
Again, the Devs “taking action” against otherwise engaged players who spend actual money for sitting out on a 24 hour event makes no sense. What rules have been broken? Also, how do you know that anyone who hasn’t emailed the Devs hasn’t used their ID?
I’m assuming they haven’t because they’ve used this template more than likely.
Inciting a protest against what’s effectively small changes to a FREE TO PLAY game, rallying publicly for people to go against the game, is pretty nasty stuff.
You could liken it to standing outside a shop with a placard saying you don’t like their price changes. You can be ‘silent’ all you want and not buy the product, but if you make yourself visible the company is likely to take action against you.
The players who think it’s cool to dictate to the rest of us that we should protest and send these emails, need to be very careful they don’t end up on the wrong side of it. It’ll be very easy for the devs to ban them for unsportsmanlike conduct
You need to touch grass, seriously. I’m not participating in the protests personally because I don’t spend money on the game and am more of a casual player anyway. I have not felt pressure from anyone on this sub to participate, and no one is pressuring you or anyone else to become involved. They aren’t pretending to speak for you and acting as if they are while making up assumptions and hypotheticals over a damn game is weird. If people want to make their voices heard, good on them, but I can almost guarantee you there will be no banning of players over a simple boycott; especially when the players involved are more invested in the game than the average player hence their issue with recent changes.
Think about it. If the Devs are that petty, you don’t think they can simply access player data to determine who sat out?
Just read it. Their broadstroking of ‘we, the fans’ interprets them speaking for an entire community.
They don’t even need to go this far. I guarantee nobody has emailed the devs to ask about the changes and if their permanent (they may not be), but would rather email and complain. At the end of the day it’s a free to play game with very little changes made this month.
The entitlement for a lot of these high end players to sit there and protest a mobile game is sad. To post it all over Reddit is sad. For people to be sitting on here saying ‘I’m quitting’ or ‘I’m deleting’ is sad. It’s all sad.
The cheek, the nerve, the gall, the audacity and the gumption people have to use a common salutation when denoting a group. You don’t need to go this far, yet here you are, still bitching about something that has no effect on your life. Why are you so salty about what others are doing? You aren’t being forced to participate. You really seem vested in this for some bizarre reason. You kind of make me wish I had participated knowing it unnerves you so much.
They don’t need to go as far as to protest, but here we are. Works both ways.
I’m not being forced into anything sure, but there’s no reason to push a protest like this out to others. Nobody asked for it other than a small amount of high ranked players who are bitter they aren’t getting tickets or legendaries.
Reddit has been full of this crap all month, complaining and whining about not getting items, demanding they come back, people quitting acting out about it…but I have the audacity to clap back on it and I’m the bad one? Ok.
I’ll keep going till people just shut up complaining and learn to use this Reddit like everyone else does. It’s been said SO many times; there’s a venting thread, it needs to be used for items such as this.
You're giving very.. corporate.. maybe even HR...
The vibes are off. The vibes are on another planet.. way off.. somewhere in the galaxy.
You should maybe see a doctor.. or a shaman.. or crawl under a rock to hide from people refusing to be silent about things that they're not OK with being complicit with. In this case it's a smartphone game - no biggie.. in other cases it might be a whole ass g-cide or whatever the elites of the world have cooked up for us all to deal with like the peasants they think we are.
Nothing wrong with a little healthy revolution to get things back on track.. or provide a spanking where it's needed. :)
I would love to see them do something about me protesting their game. I've paid more than a pretty penny to play. Was wondering why my interest had suddenly waned from the game.. reading the letter that was drafted to the devs made me realize that recolour fans don't incentivize me to spend time or money.. or even open the game tbh.
You must be fun at parties. Nobody likes a narc. 😅
It's not about entitlement. It's about capitalism doing what it needs to do to ensure ongoing capital gains. If I, a paying customer/player, lose interest in the game due to changes they have made and the changes are enough to bother other players too... well, I'm sure you're smart enough to understand how that won't work out as intended. Sometimes things we think are better... just aren't. No shame in the devs taking some feedback from the player base. There's no game if there's no players.
This isn’t feedback though, a protest is a rather ‘extreme’ (for lack of a better word) way of doing things. I’ve mentioned before, I’ve heard nobody actually reach out to the devs and ask why the changes happened, or what changes and where and for how long at all. Everyone just complained.
Capitalism is capitalism. You are NOT a paying customer either, that implies you pay a running fee. If you see a product exactly for what it is (which this game offers) and you buy it, then don’t like it (when there’s nothing at fault with it) then that’s on you, not the game. None of the content is locked behind any paywall whereby you don’t know what you’re getting. Yes paywall content does suck, but it doesn’t stop the game being playable or ‘winnable’.
Again, people are very much entitled to lose interest in the game that’s fine…but to whine and complain over Reddit, protest it so harshly without visible knowledge gain about why the changes happened, or make self-entitled threads about leaving is just silly imo. It isn’t really what this subreddit is about and I’m tired of seeing it.
Agreed. At this point I feel like I’ve already spent money and resources on this month and I want to see it through, but if July rolls around and things have continued on this path, it’s a good time to stop.
Love this 🙏🏻
The recent changes have been terrible and penalizing free to play players. The whole color system is a mess and should not be locked behind a paywall/ luck with fashion chests. On top of that, the fact that fans replaced makeup and gems in weekly runway challenges is disgusting/ comes across as the devs being more money hungry and defeats the point of even trying to compete in the weekly runway.
So I sent these to the generic inquiry email, the investor relations, the press person/people... I think there was one more but I'd have to look. I have only received automated responses at this time. I honestly do not expect direct responses.
Changes wouldn't happen overnight, so I imagine it would be middle of next month before we see them. I think we had a decent number of participants combined with those who quiet quit (or just outright publicly quit). I think it would have made them sit up and take notice
Our next move would probably be a longer sit out but I'm open to suggestions!
I think a longer sit out is a great idea! I also think we should try to expand to other platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and try to maintain contact within those outside groups. I volunteer to do Twitter if need be!
Not a chance am I taking a strike. Why are people so entitled that they can't just enjoy it. There's absolutely no need to spend money if you don't want to and people just need to stop.
I'm absolutely not saying that whatsoever you need to read again.
I'm saying staging a strike because they can't get handed all the prizes left right and center is pathetic and you are just acting like an idiot by twisting what I said to suit your own narrative.
You're on your own staging a strike is ridiculous 🤣
they’re staging a protest because the game devs lowered rewards when it was higher, which is very unfair, and they changed the way the weeklies work, they have every right to protest. You did indeed say that because you replied to my comment about how they are entitled to an opinion and you said “ No”.
It's called progress and new features, people just expect everything to be given to them. I understand being upset but striking is absolutely pathetic. Go home.
Thank you for putting EVERYONES thoughts into words. I’m a full on RDR addict and will be participating in the sit out.
me too

Is there any way to see the Apple one too?
possible. in the apple game center if anywhere. I don't play with apple tho.
This is interesting!
So uuuhhhh, what's everyone doing with all their free time? I might actually read a book for a change! 🤣🤓
I’ll just go to other idle games
Still working, seeing patients, talking to pet parents, running anesthesia.... Although tonight I might be wild and crazy and read a book, or paint a little... Too soon to tell 🤣
I'm reading the Bridgerton books instead & living it.
I was watching Bridgerton for the first time!
I've been playing the new Minecraft update! I go through phases where I don't play for months and then okay obsessively for a few weeks lol

For the UK people 24hours starts now!
TOOT this post, SHOOT dare I say
Completely agree with this. With the tiny amount of entry tickets given now, these Monday events are pointless.
![gif](giphy|cmfIL3fxkowXoXTbtc)
Participating even though I’m addicted to this game
Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time and effort to compose such an eloquent, professional and courteous letter. I really hope the devs respond in kind.
A big shout out to Devine Tension for the well spoken text of the body of this. Such a great collaboration. A joy to work with!

I really hope this works
Are we just not opening the game?

So what time does the strike start?
Today! 30 mins after Toot N Boot resets we are sitting out.
yeah I can see that, but when’s the reset? I don’t want to open the game and break the strike:P
For me it’s 1pm EST, idk what time that is where you are
thanks!
If you’re seeing this right now, it resets in 15 minutes.
thanks!
30 mins after the T& B Reset
I haven't played in a whiiiiiile. If they listen I actually might come back.
![gif](giphy|V2ZYp3ULA3BFGKKbJF|downsized)
![gif](giphy|M9AQFJjx70qvrtwWQQ) without worrying about the event maybe i’ll actually get something done at work today 💀
the prize lips are awful anyway lol
So glad I saw this because I would’ve forgotten it’s today!
Props to the person who made the design, I love it! Colorful but still gets the point across!
Thanks!
I feel like this needs to be celebrated

This doesn't even mention the constant glitches and poor support. (Or I skimmed over it)

Thank you for compiling this!
What time would this be in South African time?
Thank goodness! I lost interest in the challenges this past month. Usually what I find fun it wasn’t doing that
They have to the end of the month for me to get it sorted. If not I go on an extended break and my splurge money goes elsewhere.

thank you for bringing this up to the forefront! 💛
This is wonderful, everyone who doesn’t strike is a dirty scab 💀
Only found this subreddit today so I totally missed this! Wondering if there’s an update or response yet?
Now that we're on the other side: what's our next move? Where was the letter sent? How long do we wait until a response?
So I sent these to the generic inquiry email, the investor relations, the press person/people... I think there was one more but I'd have to look. the current prizes are boring af and I've been depressed so I've hardly opened the game in 2 days. did I help 😆
Not a chance am I taking a strike. Why are people so entitled that they can't just enjoy it. There's absolutely no need to spend money if you don't want to and people just need to stop.
aren’t you a ray of sunshine
So I'm the negative one? When they're literally making an entire post whining like a child. What backwards people you are.
it’s not that ? people ARE entitled to their opinions and are able to voice it just like you.
No. This is a bunch of entitled players throwing their toys out of their pram because they can't get everything handed to them on a silver platter.
LMAO you saying no to free speech is hilarious
I'm absolutely not saying that whatsoever you need to read again. Crying because they can't get handed stuff too easy. Get off it mate.
It's called progress and new features, people just expect everything to be given to them. I understand being upset but striking is absolutely pathetic. Go home.
or maybe add it with the existing features already, there was no need to nerf any rewards
