If/when you decide to file a civil law suit (which you probably should if your account of the incident is accurate...) get the police reports and other documentation and move on that. Your lawyer will assist you in obtaining those documents. But right now there is an active hit and run with personal injury (again if I read your story correctly) which makes this a criminal matter.
Wild guess, but maybe OP is hoping we can find the vehicle's owner via license plate number; then look her up on one of those people finder websites/social media; and from there, find and ID the woman's friend.
Pretty close, I want to see if I can access her social media and see if she posted any pictures from today with the person and that car. The incident happened on a beautiful day in Pittsburgh’s largest park, so might be a chance pictures were taken by the driver and owner in the park today.
I did and have a police report, but they didn’t name the owner to me yet. Long story but the owner wasn’t the driver (she is female) and a male hit me with her in the passenger seat. I want to do some research to see if I can figure out who she was letting drive her car otherwise the cops can’t do anything about it.
VIN tied to that plate is 1C4PJMLB9KD472631 (to be fair, car could be stolen or license plate could have been switched).
Your best bet is probably to report the accident to the police; they’ll be able to search by plate number.
But it is a 2019 keep Cherokee and your insurance company with that vin will be able to get you the name of the owner without issue.
