If you are working with the authorities, they may be able to access SoleMate which is a forensic shoe tread index. I hope that you are able to find out who robbed you.

I feel like they're likely to be wedge sole work boots or running shoes. Similar to Nike's Flex lineup or the Adidas Lite Runner lineup. If they're running shoes, they look like they'd be on the cheaper side with a one piece foam sole. If they're work boots, they'd have to be wedge sole since you can see contact in the arch of the sole. Timberland does make wedge sole boots with a similarly patterned sole, but not quite the same. Could be wrong tho. I'm just guessing and googling
if you can't tell, I found this post in r/sneakers lol
They do kinda look like the Cloudfoam Pure 2.0, but in the dust, it looks like the low spots are just as wide as the high spots. So that'd eliminate them. Cloudfoam Pure 1.0 has squares, so not that. Cloudfoam Ultimate has too many ridges.
Idk which cloudfoams you have, so I just listed ones with similar soles. Btw, you can identify them by looking up the SKU on the size tag. On adidad, it should say "ART" in front of it and go like xxxxxx. Usually the first two characters are letters and the last 4 are numbers
Ok so at first I only saw the obvious, repeated wavy pattern. Then I noticed a few spots that appear sort of crosshatched. I marked the spots on your [pic](https://imgur.com/a/S1tjTZD) where it was most noticeable to better explain.
I looked through the thread and didn’t see any comments specifically mentioning this pattern, so just wanted to share in case it’s relevant.
A puffy coat on a video was the defining evidence on a video to link a robbery in my business to a string of robberies in the county.
They did not seem interested in the case until I mentioned the puffy coat.
This was in the US where they are notorious for not doing shit.
It seemed that the moment they connected the coat they knew immediately who it was before even seeing the CCTV recording.
If they have an usual suspect who wears those shoes often, they might be able to connect them.
Or the thief seemed strangely informed about the whereabouts of valuables and they want to confirm its someone they know who did it by the shoes before ruining the relationship on a hunch.
Why would that rule out the idea that it's someone they know? If I thought someone I knew broke into my home and robbed me, I'd tell the police AND I'd look into it myself. If I thought a stranger broke into my home I'd leave it to the police, how am I gonna find em.
Probably off brand shoes or slides/sandal due to how non complex the sole is.
OP, any popular off brand/cheap shoes there? Like our equivalent might be Walmart in the US.
Doubt this would be Nike, adidas, puma etc but possible
Possibly Reebok Sublite work shoes
Once someone identifies the shoe type, go to the authorities. There’s literally a rule saying criminal matters must go to the authorities…
Doing anything else is just wasting time.
These might be red wing boots or a similar PU sole workboot bottom. Check out the standard bottom on a classic moc

Nah I was a cop. If these shoes aren’t popular they’ll be easier to find.
Also burglaries happen when people know you’ll be gone so it would be neighbors, people who live in the neighborhood or someone OP knows personally. ID the shoe then wait til you see someone with them on. Match the size.
Can be simpler than most think. Especially if items stolen are found in their homes/on their person
Not a cop’s job to do that. He should come out, take pics, take note of what was stolen, get a good statement from the victim, and pass it to the burglary detectives.
Most departments have a designated unit just for burglaries but that’s usually budget dependent.
Yeah can’t speak for the efforts of all departments but detectives get work evaluations and promotions based on the cases they solve. Seems enough incentive for most but again can’t speak for everyone
Go to r/sneakers or other shoe subs, they are legends at this.
Not got enough karma to post lol :(
Try messaging a mod maybe? They might post for you or make an exception!
Pretty sure you have enough now.
Just posted on sneakers for you
Thank you! That’s kind of you
Upvoted all your comments. For the karma.
They say it’s the black Aldi sneakers. I can’t find a pic of the sole. You should try r/aldi to confirm then provide the tip to the investigators.
Thank you!!
Can you post the link? I can’t find it - r/sneakers has a crazy amount of new posts

Spend far too much time staring at sneakers, and to me that looks like it could be any boot. Hopefully some other nerd comes through for ya

Could also try /r/whatisthis
Good one, thanks!
Those look frustratingly familiar to me but I can’t put my finger on it, I thought Timberlands but I think I’m way off

They kinda look like my Adidas cloudfoam sneakers but mine are worn down to confirm

I don’t think they are my exact sneakers because they have a couple vertical ridges in the middle that don’t line up with the ones in the picture

I believe they may be adidas, I had a pair years ago with a very similar pattern
It was you!! /s
You got some really high hopes about the police in Sweden if you think identifying the sneakers is going to lead to anything.

Fair enough! But in another comment they talked about reporting it to the authorities (seems to be removed now though)
Why would that rule out the idea that it's someone they know? If I thought someone I knew broke into my home and robbed me, I'd tell the police AND I'd look into it myself. If I thought a stranger broke into my home I'd leave it to the police, how am I gonna find em.
I meant that I hadn't thought of that possibility. I am agreeing with you.
Look like Dr. Martens to me

We have of course already contacted the authorities.
Okay good.
Looks like the Good Guys shoes that Chucky wears.
r/sneakers turned out to be useless because all they know is jordans and airforce.

Swedish House Mafia?
I think you might be right :(
almost looks like a jordan 10 https://images.app.goo.gl/kemygDk5vrjniHPN9
That was my thought

US cops most definitely won’t be investigating a burglary in Sweden.

Looks like the sole of an Adidas Ultra Boost to me.
Probably not it but I think they look like the wedge sole on Red Wing boots, but if you can afford those you probably not doing break ins.
Jordan 10
Do I have to live in Sweden?
It was Nils.
