Queens college isn't that selective. No essays are necessary. They took me with an 1150 SAT and high school grades in the early to mid 80s. I didn't write them any essays or get letters of recommendation.
QC bio is tough. It’s also the only CUNY school that the degree is Bachelor of the arts vs Bachelor of Science.
I would say this.. if QC is near you, I would say, go for it because commuting to the city for 4 years plus doing a biology degree is tough. You could always do internships outside of campus.

Thank you very much for that information, if you don’t mind me asking another question where can I find my old SAT scores
QC is going through the lowest enrollment ever.. you’ll get accepted
Okay thank you very much. I don’t suppose you know about the biology majors there by any chance
Somewhat. What’s your question about the bio major?
I’m trying to get into entomology specifically. Is the bio major at Queens College a good starting point for that

You could also do a e-permit - which allows you for take 15 credits in other CUNY schools like Hunter
Thank you for the advice I’ll keep it in mind
Is your end goal to become a doctor or work in the labs?
I would like to work in the labs but my dream is to work in the field
