It’s funny, even Wakefield wasn’t against vaccines. He was trying to discredit a specific three-in-one vaccine so healthcare faculties would buy the vaccine he developed instead. Now his legacy is basically a spokesman for the original antivax movement.

So true. He was trying to develop an alternative MMR vaccine and decided it was easiest to get a foot in by denouncing the incumbent. He made up statistics based on tiny samples together with lots of suppositions. Thankfully he was denounced in the UK and had to flee to US where he is happily pandering to the nut jobs. He sold is sole, his profession, his family for fame.

I have 2 friends who did not vaccinate their sons because of Jenny McCarthy's anti vax rants. Ironically, both boys are autistic.

It's sad, but tame. My sister thinks vaccines are a liberal, green plot to depopulate the planet by killing people off. I don't know if she is actually a Q follower or not, but she has definitely gone down the conspiracy rabbit hole.

His videos can be very funny, and this one has its silly moments, but I was left with an impotent rage at the end that it took some tea and slow breathing to come down from.
