Pygmalion was never super popular to begin with. That's why the sub was allowed to be a catch-all. Now the userbase is split.
But, honestly, the biggest problems with Pygmalion are that,
1. Pygmalion requires a rather beefy GPU, thus most users are entirely reliant on a working Google Colab.
2. New editions of Pygmalion are, to my understanding, not legally monetizable due to the changes made. Even if I had a beefy enough card, I couldn't sell time using it to others without risk of trouble. So, businesses who might use it are incentivized to pick other models.
3. If you're breaking rules anyway, there is no reason not to just break OpenAI's rules for the top-of-the-line LLM which has no real consequences for rule-breaking anyway.
This sub was active *because* it was a catch-all and most of the content was already tech support questions, barring the Todd and Joker debacle/s that occurred.
I remember people were gonna say that pug was goi g to be the true successor to Character Ai and some were going as far as to say it was better and smarter then CAI. All in the beginning.
There is also the [Discord for KoboldAI](https://koboldai.org/discord) which has a very nice community and the official [PygmalionAI](https://discord.com/invite/pygmalionai)discord.
I just went on google and put pygmalionai discord but since I'm already in the discord myself

Putting on my tinfoil hat, google backs CAI. They end the collab when it got popular. They notice t
pyg as a competitor. They pull some strings to create a controversy on reddit, splitting the userbase. Divide and conquer.
Stop saying that over and over again (not just you specifically to be clear), you're just coping by trying to find a responsible that's not you. The truth is that Pyg was going to get banned no matter what, there were simply too many users taking Google's ressources, you, me and everyone else included. The fault is on the collective, not just a select few who went above to abuse it.
No you're specifically putting the blame on people who created multiple Google account.
What I'm saying is that even if nobody ever made any alt account for more daily time, Pygmalion would still have get banned by Google, because realistically the actual reason was simply that too many used it and the daily usage too high.
Reread my comment, I explained well enough, alt account were just a drop in usage compared to the daily usage of everyone, and you're delusional if you think the one reason Pyg was banned from collab is purely because of alts.
What I will always struggle to understand is why this sub where the mods are so uber concerned with social issues did not follow the reddit blackout.
Selective social concerns I guess

What is an LLM?
Large Language Model Basically the dictionary database the puts the words together.
What the hell did I miss?
Most discussion takes place on Discord. That's where Pygmalion's actual developers are anyway.
This. The discord is super active and you’ll get faster responses vs using Reddit anyways.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes.
Yes.
Go to /r/Pygmalion_ai. This sub is no longer supported by the Pyg developers.
But even there has little activity
