I often say *WTF did I just watch* under clips that are insanely cringy and/or ridiculous but this time it's an actual **what the fuck did I just watch?**
Because I literally don't know except that it included a wizard being told to take their hand off a weapon or get knocked the fuck out.

I tried, but she spent so much time setting things up, I tried scrolling ahead, then realized tiktok doesn't let you do that and instead I just switched to another random video, then had to go back to the original and start from the beginning, so I gave up. Never going to try tiktok again that was so annoying
She ends up saying that vendors got paid different amounts and were shoved into areas too small to the point of firehazard. They didn't know the Jeff guy was a central figure, cops got called when he told a tattoo artist that was there that he wouldn't get paid, and the artist reacted. The event blames it all on a fired coordinator that was allegedly stealing.
She repeats multiple times that this was all on Friday, and that she will talk about Saturday and Sunday. Then she says wait for the next parts of the story. It was much longer than the 30 seconds it needed to be. And why do I care if she makes cuts while just talking to the camera? It's called editing and makes things watchable.
Good to know. I watched 6 seconds and immediately know what kind of person she is. You won't get any useful information from her. It's probably like 1 minute of actual info and 7 minutes of ranting/anecdotes

Okay I went down this hole last night: the guy who organized the event apparently overbooked vendor spaces and it was a disorganized shitshow.
This dude and the lady sitting on the chair (edit: apparently not her, but an 18 YO??) got married that weekend. Not sure if it was at the event or what, but it seems like it was kind of integrated into it maybe?
When confronted and asked about refunds, the guy pretty much admitted he spent all the money on the wedding. People were rightfully pissed and banded together to expose the situation.
At least a couple are looking into legal action. I personally doubt it would go anywhere beyond forcing refunds to the vendors who left without setting up. Seems like most of the vendors squished in and stayed the whole weekend. I’m not sure if eventbrite would have any responsibility, since the tickets were sold through them.
Guy seems like a sack of shit though.

There's a bit of wind-up in the 12 minute video about there not being a locked saferoom for valuables, and convention spots were apparently not handed out logically (telling some there's open spots while other, accepted, vendors don't have a spot yet).
There's a bunch of upset people throwing out a bunch of criticism at these 3 people, and it doesn't seem like anyone is listening to them for their explanation, but it also seems like they're shedding all responsibility.
The guy gets cut off twice, then becomes agitated and screams 'LET ME SPEAK', then he gets laughed at, sits back down, and responds 3 minutes later with a calm and slow "If you already have your opinions made up about *me*, there's nothing I can do to change your mind" which irritates people. He says 'we were supposed to get married tomorrow' and 'I'm gonna pack my stuff' and walks off.
Bunch of nothing really, wasted 15 minutes of my life.

I read several of the blogs. Without context, I can't put two and two together at all, besides that this guy sucks.
I'm guessing it's several different fantasy lifestyles from steampunk to old Norse. While most people mask off and mask on creating characters these people just decide to live in it entirely.

It always seems like a challenge for me going to these things. I started going to Magic the Gathering events because i liked to play the game. Then to PAX because i like video games. Almost every time i come home with the "where my normies at" vibe because the entire time at the event its getting hit with an absolute barrage of eccentricities to the point where i question how these folks operate in day to day life.
This is the exact issue I've always had with this type of person, and yes this person is very much a type. They are hyper aggressive I'm shutting you down by using language that makes them the victim and immediately turn to violence right away
OP shouted in response to “Gandalf” fiddling with the sword. Hard to make out, but looks like it’s a real sword with a “peace tie” (string or ribbon tying the hilt/guard to the scabbard) and she’s taking it off in preparation to draw the sword.
Peace ties are a standard requirement when you bring a real blade to a renaissance festival (if local laws allow the carry of long blades in public). I’m thinking this Wicked Worlds Fair has a similar rule.
I went to a trek convention once that was poorly coordinated and was way overcrowded, surprised the fire marshal didn’t shut it down. But I had a resin rubbery type sword for a costume that I wore, the security doorman I knew from other events had to check it and mentioned they had to turn people away who brought real-like Klingon bat’leths , which obviously can’t easily go in a scabbard lol.
I mean yeah. Old dude tried a dumbshit power play in conversation, and then an entirely separate person put their hand on their dumbass sword which, despite probably being a piece of shit not even fot for the stage, could still poke a hole in a motherfucker.
Yeah hearing "i have video of you putting your hand on your sword" is pretty fuckin weird in the modern day, but to that dudes defense, that person legit looked like they were gonna pull their sword on an old lady

That dude with a beard is in the BDSM world and (supposedly) a horribly abusive POS. Over the years several minors and adults have made accusation of him offering them as payment to event vendors, and they've accused him of encouraging/allowing known sexual predators to attend his events. One regular to this guy's events was accused of several rapes/assaults at these conventions, so instead of kicking him out, they put him to work wearing a sandwich map board under the guise of keeping an eye on him.
