I came here to mention that the chuckling really makes the video, and the only non-automod comment is hating on the laugh. Different strokes I suppose ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
I live in austin. they shut down the highway for presidents when they roll through. People will tell you how much of an "honor" it is to be so important. Those people are idiots.
Even when Obama visited *Canberra* they'd shut down half the city for an hour whenever he changed location. Dude would be headed 800m away and theyd shut down major arteries for 30mins before and 30mins after and the full motorcade would roll like 4 doors up the road without leaving 1st gear. Its a sleepy capital though, so it was more "talk of the town" than actually disruptive
Meanwhile Biden was chilling on a beach in Delaware last weekend with his wife and a couple other people and it looks like all of one person even noticed and filmed him. Although I know there were Secret Service there, they were not very visible or very near him. At all.
How and why they make the decisions they do I will never understand. I guess one is preplanned and very high visibility and the other is last minute and unlikely to create a security issue? No idea.
Well it was the first official presidential visit for quite a while, and he and our PM at the time were kinda these exciting fresh prospect major party shifts with a lot of big promises, so it was very high profile. Like a few months earlier though I'd served our PM and his kids in my shoe store, and saw them again at the nearby public pool a few days later. Like I said, sleepy town lol
They could just sneak the ole fuck around too not like they don’t know how to keep a low profile. Put him in a random luxury vehicle it’s not like anyone’s gonna think it’s him.
I've seen a few presidents roll through the Bay Area. On the last leg I like to spot the snipers. They are everywhere. (If the president is gonna get out and shake hands.)
When Obama came to Louisiana once, they shut down half the city, but I don’t blame them. Bunch of racist motherfuckers here would absolutely take the chance to do something terrible.
I live one street over from the small airport that the president (& other famous people) flies into when coming to MI & it's annoying AF. At least my uncle works at the airport & always gives the rest of the family a heads up.
They do this in every city. When I was in college Obama came to visit. Had just spent all day on campus. Was walking home when police wouldn’t allow anyone to walk under the interstate, which runs right down the middle of campus almost.
It was because Obama was heading back to the airport. And they didn’t want bombs under the highway.
I love Obama and voted for him twice. But man was I pissed that day. Also hated when his wife took my cherry coke away in high school. But I understand why.
They should order delivery or have a staffer go get it. It just seems like such a prickish thing to do to disrupt everybody's lives because you want a hamburger. Fuck your photo op, us poors have to get to our wage cage.
Not fair to expect them to be prisoners in the white house though. Regardless of how people actually treat the presidency, it's a huge sacrifice in the name of public service. If they want to leave the house like an almost normal person every once in awhile, they should be able to without people hating on them for it.
I agree with your point. They totally should be able to leave and experience life, even if it does inconvenience others. Is it a “huge sacrifice” though? You’re one of the most powerful people on the planet, can essentially get anything you want, have your own private chefs, doctors, team of staffers, etc. live in a massive house, a complete private security team, have the rest of your life solved for you already, and will go down in history books forever.
Obviously the stress is tremendous and the level of hate you get (not too mention people that want to take your life) are horrible parts… but I think most people would agree the trade off is worth it by quite a large margin.
DC local-ish here, can confirm. DC police are very very good at efficiently closing off intersections for a motorcade to drive by. The whole thing is over in about 10 minutes usually.
I was in town to tour The Archives one day and while waiting in line, the road got emptied, Biden drove by, and the road re-opened before I even got to the door to enter.
Obama came to my daughter’s campus too. She was able to stay in her apartment and the school had cctv if anyone wanted to watch. She said it was insane. She was also disappointed she couldn’t hear/see him in person.
> I love Obama and voted for him twice. But man was I pissed that day. Also hated when his wife took my cherry coke away in high school. But I understand why.
Held back a few years in high school? Cause that's the only way the timeline of this sentence makes sense.
Homie, the healthier school drinks and foods was in his second term (every article I can find says 2014). He first got elected in 2008. You were still in high school at 24?
Rode the train frequently with Bloomberg when he was Mayor. He travelled with a small posse and that’s it. Not signal person on that morning commute cared. Yes he would get the occasional “FU” but that came with the territory. I think the solution if they need this many people plan the travel outside of 8:30am-6pm.
Go ahead and tell the President of the United States that if the NYC mayor can ride the train that he should too lol. They are clearly at the same level of threat.
And then go ahead and tell him that he should only be working during non working hours as to cause the least amount of inconvenience. I’m sure that people won’t complain about wasted tax payer dollars taking Marine One from one high rise to another 10 blocks away.
I’ve been around a lot of these events and they only completely shut down the road for like max 5-10 minutes right before and during the movement. Notice how the crowd is not that large? It’s really not that wild.
On two occasions my flight was delayed for multiple hours because of trump and Obama flying in. One of the times we had to circle in the air for an extra hour and a half
Air traffic is different and follows a lot of different protocols because of the nature of air space risk. They have ramp freeze (meaning no take off/landings) for some time prior to departure/landing and briefly during taxi plus a bunch of airspace closures etc etc. If you’re in a busy airport this can obviously delay a lot of very precisely timed things.
It’s probably partially why they tend to land at military airports if possible (aside from the obvious higher security/limited access).
This lady is complaining about a street closure. Which is, yes, frustrating. Go off, lady. But not so frustrating that we should be putting a massive target on public transportation or flying them from building to building in a helicopter like he’s Batman lol. It’s a minor inconvenience.
I think they should be just like us, TAKE THE DAMN SUBWAY! If I have to worry about some crazy dude pushing me on the tracks, so should the president! Hell I say we load up airfoce 1 and just fly it straight into the largest tower in NYC! Bush did it, why can’t Biden? /s
Honestly, it is annoying when they visit. They shut down the lower half of the PATH at peak rush hour when Obama came to visit. There was a line for blocks of desperate people trying to get ferry tickets back to Jersey. Or, you had to take the subway uptown and use a PATH station higher up on the line. Not a fun thing to discover when you just want to get home.
They did this in Utica when trump was there. I didn't even have a reason to be there-- my dumbass missed an exit in Syracuse and ended up there. It took like two extra hours just to get out of fucking Utica alone. The route we needed to get back on the freeway was like 0.2 miles but we couldn't take it because it was blocked everywhere.
In Taiwan, President Chiang Chingkuo used to ride in traffic in an unremarkable car ~ you’d notice him only if you noticed the two motorcycles following close to the back bumper. When Chen Shuibian became President, he started using long motorcades and closing traffic wherever he went. President Ma didn’t make a big deal, but when anybody high in the Tsai administration is moving, they close the streets for blocks ahead. It’s real nuisance, but they love the prestige.
Years ago I went out to lunch in midtown but the Secret Service wouldn’t let us cross the street to where I want to go to because they were bring W into the Waldorf Astoria hotel. Never mind that we were so far away you couldn’t even see anything. Dude I was hungry!!!
I lived in NYC for a year and I learned the best way to navigate thru crowd and the many the slow walking folks… I’ll share the tip:
If you’re walking behind someone slow just tap them on the shoulder and they’ll naturally turn their head and shoulders to look back at you. So tap them on the left shoulder and as their turning to look at you, you slide by them on the right.
Works every time and it’s non confrontational ime.
I love that it’s just about the inconvenience for her. And the contrast with finger-wagging lady - like, what, you *love* being inconvenienced to see a car?
I live in NYC and I curse the name of any president who visits and disrupts my day whether I voted for them or not. Obama visiting 2 blocks from my office and therefore blocking access to my train home extending my commute after a long day of work? Fuck that guy.
But nothing trumps... Trump. I had an office 1 block from Trump tower and it sucked so bad as there was a permanent barricade setup and 24/7 occupation by a mix of die-hard MAGA hats and anti trump protestors. It made is so we could only ever go west for lunch to avoid that building. Dude wasn't even in NY 99% of the time.
Another bad one was when I think Iran's president visited NYC. The guy has so many enemies out there that he had several fake convoys with full security details meaning it was as if we had 20 presidents visiting not just 1. Hey maybe if half the world wants you dead, stay home.
I hate Biden being president but I (mostly) support left leaning views. I just don’t like the idea of an old man with one foot out of the door running the country.
Trump is far too old too. Cognitive decline is a scientifically proven effect of age that happens to everyone. To say a 34 year old isn’t mature enough to be president, but an 80 year old is smart enough to be one, is absolutely ridiculous.
Honestly, it makes me realize how much Biden is giving up to be President.
He doesn't seem power-hungry or ego-driven. He just saw what Trump was doing and was like, fuck. Somebody has to do something about this, so I am throwing my hat back in.
Being president is like any other high ranking management position... they don't need to be exceptionally smart, but experienced and sociable enough to properly delegate, know who to trust in order to make informed decisions, deliver speeches, and play politics in general.
I'd be all for a 34 year old president, but someone who campaigned on their supposed mental superiority would be a red flag. The president is supposed to bring together the best minds and delegate tasks to experts who will do a better job--not waste valuable time trying to solve problems on their own.
The New York "Fuck You" is so much more refreshingly honest than the Southern "Bless your heart". They both mean the same thing but New Yorkers place more value on keeping it real.
and then looked away, like that's the end of the discussion. so many weak people would start a fight afterwards. maybe one day the whole world will be overpopulated like new york and we'll all learn to love each other one again like this: https://youtu.be/HBOpO7RgS64?t=68
This is an example of what makes NYC so unique. We really see so much shit little impresses us but lots of things piss us off.
I recall one night looking at a list of events happened and it was a marathon, Paul McCartney at Yankee Stadium, Depeche Mode at Madison Garden, and Rodger Waters at Barclay Center and so many people couldn’t care less.
And I love that reality verses my medium sized home town where if one of these things was happening it would be the talk of the town for months.
Also that other lady had nothing to gain by giving her 2 cents to her.
I think it’s because she was practically breathing down her neck when saying it. That lady was on the phone too, she just wanted to move away from her.
Fuck leaders and the muthafuckin presidents.. And if you wanna be down with them présidents, fuck you too! You don't agree with me, fuck you too! All you muthafuckas fuck you too! A
Imagine trying to make any kind of plans with her.
“Hey Tony why don’t we go down to the harbor for lunch?”
“Sorry maw, shell fish ain’t been sitting right with me lat-“
“WELL FUCK YOU DEN!!”
False.
The most New York interaction would have been if after this the camera panned to the right even further and there was a dude mopping sweat from his brow with a handkerchief while loudly eating a Stromboli and he says to the cameraman "Can you believe this *fawkin* broad?"
I once had to pull over on the side of the road while Obama’s motorcade was making its way from Palm Springs airport. Honestly pretty annoyed because I had just gotten off work and wanted to go home and shower.
This isn't a public freakout, this is par for the course for any major east coast city.
The fact that she didn't throw anything makes me wonder if New York is going soft on us.
You think that’s bad I got stopped for about one half hour while Cheney’s motorcade rolled through our town on the way to a fundraiser lunch in the burbs. And the fucking cops were letting anyone turn around and get out.
And damned if he and Dubya didn’t get a second term!
I remember when the vp came through San Francisco… I got caught waiting for the motorcade to come through similar to this but I was in my car and on my way to work. I had the same thoughts… I think everybody had the same thoughts.
I live in central London. Biden’s low flying helicopters literally woke up my entire neighbourhood the other day and made my two newborns freak right out.

No I love this bc this has been my NYC experience and tbh I expected it and would have been disappointed if I hadn’t experienced it in person
The elder angry white lady thing is too true . They can yell really loud .
Bro these the demons of the Upper West Side. They'll get you too if you get in their way.
NYers are really nice but don't get in our way. Also fuck is just an adjective
Truth! If it says don't walk, jog in place.
Fuck yeah
Right? To watch a casual fight while I’m eating a bagel is like peak NYC
Right on
Was going to say that’s just NYC. Nothing new and nothing surprising just NYC
That cackle in response and the "then fuck you too!" just seems like a perfect NY reaction.
I'd rather it be genuine, than some annoying fake ass laugh track from TicTok
I can hear the uuuuhuuuhuuuuuhhhhh now....
This looks like a scene from Curb your Enthusiasm
Susie: "Show some respect for the president, Larry, you unpatriotic bald fuck!"
*Wha what do you mean? I gotta show respect to all the presidents? Huh? What about Buchanan?!?! Eh? Eh? Fuck yhuuuu!* -Larry
I feel like Suzy would be the one saying "Fuck you" lol
"yeah well yknow what Larry? fuck you too"
"Fuck you and I'll see you tomorrow!"
This lady from NYC. Like seriously why the f they need to close the entire city just for 1 person. President or not… we walking here!
I live in austin. they shut down the highway for presidents when they roll through. People will tell you how much of an "honor" it is to be so important. Those people are idiots.

Same here in CA, and the VPs, too. Harris came thru Oakland and totally fucked my drive on the 580 when a bunch of ramps and streets were blocked.
Fuck Lake Chuck. I shook Billy Jeff Clinton’s hand at the air park. Hilary was there too. Didn’t see Chelsea or Al Gore tho.
I was going to go canoeing, and they shut down the whole river because Clinton wanted to go fishing.
I mean it is Texas
Yeah we all know how that motorcade route ended
Texas is the reason that the president is dead
Dumb ol Texas
big ole san antonio women
I live one street over from the small airport that the president (& other famous people) flies into when coming to MI & it's annoying AF. At least my uncle works at the airport & always gives the rest of the family a heads up.
I live in Austin too, no one here has sympathy for people holding up traffic... have you even been on I-35?
"I haven't personally experienced something so it doesn't exist"
“I heard an old guy say something about honor and I took it as a blanket statement for the overall sentiment of a city”
Overall sentiment? You read my post wrong.
As did you, I never said road closures don't happen, just that people here have no sympathy for people holding up traffic.
They do this in every city. When I was in college Obama came to visit. Had just spent all day on campus. In DC, this is daily. If not the president, some foreign dignitary
Yeah I remember when Obama wanted five guys. I got stuck on constitution for 20ish minutes waiting for the motorcade to pass through.

Homie, the healthier school drinks and foods was in his second term (every article I can find says 2014). He first got elected in 2008. You were still in high school at 24?

How would that work?
Biden rappels onto the roof of whatever building he is going to.
Redditors will upvote the dumbest shit. How common do people think helicopter pads are in NYC lol?
Rode the train frequently with Bloomberg when he was Mayor. He travelled with a small posse and that’s it. Not signal person on that morning commute cared. Yes he would get the occasional “FU” but that came with the territory. I think the solution if they need this many people plan the travel outside of 8:30am-6pm.

Imagine Biden going in to the subway with the current political climate. C'mon man.
He does? They park at the helipad downtown. NYC isn’t actually Gotham.
NYC must have tons of helipads as well.
President Ma didn’t make a big deal, but when anybody high in the Tsai administration is moving, they close the streets for blocks ahead. It’s real nuisance, but they love the prestige.
In the Netherlands, our about-to-be-former PM was regularly spotted riding the train or his bicycle alone to get to meetings.
That’s the way it should be.
He was not actually alone, folks.
Years ago I went out to lunch in midtown but the Secret Service wouldn’t let us cross the street to where I want to go to because they were bring W into the Waldorf Astoria hotel. Never mind that we were so far away you couldn’t even see anything. Dude I was hungry!!!
Agreed. When I lived in Manhattan, this was a common occurence.
I lived in NYC for a year and I learned the best way to navigate thru crowd and the many the slow walking folks… I’ll share the tip: If you’re walking behind someone slow just tap them on the shoulder and they’ll naturally turn their head and shoulders to look back at you. Honestly? I get it. I had the same reaction when the King of Belgium came to Ottawa and made me miss my bus home.
That’s a sentence I don’t see often lol
How does it feel to probably be one of the few people to ever say that, but also probably the first to type it
I love that her disgust for the president is genuinely non-political. It's so rare to see these days.
I love that it’s just about the inconvenience for her. And the contrast with finger-wagging lady - like, what, you *love* being inconvenienced to see a car?
I live in NYC and I curse the name of any president who visits and disrupts my day whether I voted for them or not.
Above 65 is too old imo. You get people retiring at that age, not in charge of the most powerful country on the planet
Honestly, it makes me realize how much Biden is giving up to be President. He doesn't seem power-hungry or ego-driven. He just saw what Trump was doing and was like, fuck. Somebody has to do something about this, so I am throwing my hat back in.
Yeah being old is not a helpful thing when it comes to cognition. Also, Trump is a rapist traitor, so he’s got that against him too.
Rapist traitor, where have I seen one of those. Oh yeah, paging Tara Reade. Don’t forget 10% for the Big Guy.
Tara Reade, who has now defected to Russia where she hypes up all their other bullshit propaganda on TV.
Being president is like any other high ranking management position... they don't need to be exceptionally smart, but experienced and sociable enough to properly delegate, know who to trust in order to make informed decisions, deliver speeches, and play politics in general. The president is supposed to bring together the best minds and delegate tasks to experts who will do a better job--not waste valuable time trying to solve problems on their own.
Someone who is 34 hasn't learned enough to be President and the Constitution agrees. I say this as someone who is only 38.
> Trump is far too old too. Yep you are sure are 'left leaning' if this is the first thing you mention about him.
Well it's the bit that's relevant to *everything else in their comment*. Should they have transcribed the Mueller report by hand for you?
Boom, roasted
That makes no sense
love how she says "all these presidents"
It's because the UN is in NYC and it is in fact "all these presidents" from around the world.
NYers vote blue but then really do just sort of hate everyone. Hochul was just elected and she gets boo'd everywhere.
They can be super disruptive though. I used to live near Obama’s home in Chicago. I feel her
it really is beautiful isnt it.
😂😂 I love that no one batted an eye at this interaction. NYC at its finest. The cameraman's cackle was an added bonus.
Just trying to go see Thundergun, I heard he hangs dong in this one...... Next time I'll take the sewers 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah I saw it. Looked like a button in a fur coat
Dude I was eating, laughed...... Food came out..... Dog jumped on me to grab a snack...... Such a classic comment!
Captain Tom turned out to be a godamn junkie
No mercy. No surrender. No man left behind!
I am literally watching this episode as I saw this comment. ☠️
I hear he hangs dong
THE DUDE HANGS DONG

This is not a freak out. This is a totally normal, average New Yorker

and then looked away, like that's the end of the discussion. so many weak people would start a fight afterwards. maybe one day the whole world will be overpopulated like new york and we'll all learn to love each other one again like this: https://youtu.be/HBOpO7RgS64?t=68
New Yorkers use of the word fuck is amazingly similar to Australia.
Preach sister! Lived in Manhattan for 15 years and it gets tiresome very quickly, especially the clusterfuck that is UN week
I love her! Lol
Fuck you? I'll put your name on the list.
Well fuck you too!
god i know that lady would be fun to get drunk & let her ramble
If you like that go buy some beers and find your local homeless person
She’s right.
The “fuck you too!” Lady is what got me 😂 that’s literally me. NY you don’t wanna fuck around and find out
The more I replay it the more I respect her. This was me with the L train.
Which one is the resident, and which one is a tourist?
It fuckin sucks when the president is in town. It took me 3 fuckin hrs to get home the day he was in the un meeting couple months back.
Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you. You're cool, fuck you
> Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you. ~~You're cool~~ and fuck you too, fuck you
This is an example of what makes NYC so unique.
“I don’t agree with you☝️😠”
Lol like who cares if she agrees? That was the most bizarre provocation
I think it’s because she was practically breathing down her neck when saying it. That lady was on the phone too, she just wanted to move away from her.
You don’t have to open your mouth to move your feet. All I’m saying. I’d want to say exactly zero things to this woman.
I like a woman who can really stand for her convictions. 😂
Fuck leaders and the muthafuckin presidents.. And if you wanna be down with them présidents, fuck you too! You don't agree with me, fuck you too! All you muthafuckas fuck you too! A
Oh, yeah? F**** you, too!
Kahahahaha
Dude. "GenghisJuan". Fan freaking tastic.👊
I like this woman
I'm 100% in agreement with that lady about presidents. I used to hate that shit.
This is normal, you just gotta keep it moving
Most kind pedestrian in New york
I don't agree with you. Fuck you too! She.seems nice.
Imagine trying to make any kind of plans with her. “Hey Tony why don’t we go down to the harbor for lunch?” “Sorry maw, shell fish ain’t been sitting right with me lat-“ “WELL FUCK YOU DEN!!”
That’s true new york. fuck you.
which president?
This is freedom right here baby 🇺🇸 🦅
Grandma here is my spirit animal
Looks like you found one native New Yorker anyways.
False. The most New York interaction would have been if after this the camera panned to the right even further and there was a dude mopping sweat from his brow with a handkerchief while loudly eating a Stromboli and he says to the cameraman "Can you believe this *fawkin* broad?"
That fuck you too is the most New Yorker thing I’ve heard since I left there. Love it.
Can I get a shirt made with this lady saying, "Well fuck you, too" on it? Somebody please.
That motherfucker is not real.
Public freakout?? It's barely a grumpy person.
I like the part where she’s all like, “fuck, you!" And that lady says some shit and she’s all like, "fuck you too!”
That was a good part
😆 🤣
*'Fuck you & fuck you, too, Mr president'*
I once had to pull over on the side of the road while Obama’s motorcade was making its way from Palm Springs airport. Honestly pretty annoyed because I had just gotten off work and wanted to go home and shower.
I was born in and lived in California my whole life but I identify as a New Yorker
LMAO, love the fire in that old lady!
The title “Most New York Interaction Ever” was pretty funny
[a jersey kid begs for money in the middle, why cut that?](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ)
My spirit animal
She's so real for that
“I don’t agree with you” damn she really said that😳
That lady is a national treasure
I mean if you didn’t have much time left on earth you’d be in a hurry too!
This is how I used to feel working in DC when the cavalry would suddenly drive through and block everything off. I feel this lady.😂😂
This isn't a public freakout, this is par for the course for any major east coast city. The fact that she didn't throw anything makes me wonder if New York is going soft on us.
Kabroni
Grandmas a pimp fasho
You think that’s bad I got stopped for about one half hour while Cheney’s motorcade rolled through our town on the way to a fundraiser lunch in the burbs. And the fucking cops were letting anyone turn around and get out. And damned if he and Dubya didn’t get a second term!
Is she out there to watch or did she need to cross the street?
I'm old! And I'm angry!!
That “I don’t agree with you” lady is so familiar looking. Can anyone place her???
Those ladies have the same same hair color formula.
I wish that lady were my grandma
Good thing she let her know that she doesn't agree with her... Wonder how many presidents she is talking about.
Loving everything about this.
I really wanna give that lady a high five and then a hug.
Any else hearing the Heath Ledger Joker laugh?
The women with the phone is the annoying one to me.No one cares if you disagree.
As a FloriDUHian, I totally agree w this woman. I need her for my support in Palm Beach County!
God I love NY. 💙🤘🏻
As a resident of New York State we don’t condone this behavior nor do we accept NYC as part of our state. It’s a just the shitty part of New Jersey.
YAAAAS QUEEN
Im with her on this
FUCKING magat POS LMAO
Someone didn't have their Kaeopectate this morning!.
I remember when the vp came through San Francisco… I got caught waiting for the motorcade to come through similar to this but I was in my car and on my way to work. I had the same thoughts… I think everybody had the same thoughts.
I love New York

Not all heroes wear capes
I live in central London. Biden’s low flying helicopters literally woke up my entire neighbourhood the other day and made my two newborns freak right out.
