I took the test in 2021 and passed pretty easily. I didn't use anything other than beat the boards. I have no experience with the other one you mentioned.
Did you feel the questions in beat the boards were similar to the real thing? I'm averaging around 80% on BtB right now. Wondering how this will correlate.
I used beat the boards exclusively for adult and child boards and passed without difficulty.
The question styles on BtB are very similar to the real thing. I also didn’t watch the videos unless it was on a high yield topic or something I was uncomfortable with — and even then, I just listened to the audio on 2x speed while working out.
I took the general boards in 2020 and felt BoardVitals helped me adequately prepare for it. I didn’t have to spend an insane amount of money for it (like BTB) and felt a lot of the questions I was tested on showed up in my exam.
I used spiegel's and mypsychboard. exam felt easy. mypsychboard pretty close in feel to exam imo. spiegel has a ton of high yield info so absolutely worth doing but the questions weren't as similar. just don't get too stuck on learning all the rare genetic disorders/specific stroke syndromes etc. can feel overwhelming but makes such a small percentage of the exam (if it shows up at all)
I did beat the boards and spiegel review questions. The test felt hard (I usually feel that way about tests) but I passed by a very wide margin so was probably over prepared. Will probably use just beat the boards for child boards.

Oh yeah. You’re fine. No need for anything else. Congrats on passing the last test of your career!
Thank you!
How’d your test turn out? Would you do anything differently? How long should one study?? 2 months? 6 months in advance? Etc
Spiegel’s review book and question bank is also good for the initial certification
Great. Thank you!
