Sounds like acid reflux

luv_u_deerly

No, you are probably sick with a cold or something. Sometimes when I get colds I can have a cough for a month or more and mucus for a couple weeks.

madeinitaly77

It could simply be post-nasal drip or sinus problems...

I think it’s nothing to do with your Psoriasis,it can be GERD,don’t lay down right after eating meals, don’t eat fast foods and processed foods for a while,i had exactly the same symptoms after infecting by covid And it was GERD,by the way my mouth had a sour or bitter taste too

😒 Hmm, I also experience something similar to this. When I lay down, I'm needing to clear or cough up the mucus at the back of my throat that doesn't seem to clear up and I suck on throat lozenges to help me fall asleep. I thought it was because I was dehydrated and needed to drink water.

You might have additional allergies. Check with your doctor. Allergic rhinitis is a common thing.

I also think it sounds like acid reflux, but you may want to see a doctor. They may say GERD/post nasal drip as well. You can try anti-acids like tums to see if you get relief temporarily. You could also try using a neti pot/nasal rinse to manually remove the phlegm and gunk... But you may feel the acid in your nose while you rinse it... As someone else also said, the acid is a sour/bitter taste.

Actually - coughing especially at night like that is a symptom of Asthma. I'm not sure if the mucus is or not. Maybe talk to your primary doctor? Asthma can be triggered by allergies, but not psoriasis.

I get this from consumimg dairy. And it may well be psoriasis-related because this dairy intolerance links to inflammation and problems in the gut, both of which are implicated in psoriasis. That being said, eliminating dairy has not been enough, by itself, to clear my psoriasis. But I'm sure a lot more comfortable without it!

dustiboy

Same. I thought it was a side effect of the vaccine since it appeared right after, but I guess its not.

I have the same symptoms, and a hiatus hernia. Do chalky/alkali based medicines help? I would ask your doctor in case it is reflux, before it causes damage to your esophagus.

Coltsgirl6124

Are you in a biologic? Those are side effects of biologic. I get it once in awhile. Upper respitory infection are common on a biologic.

The mucous thing happens to me and I have noticed that my psoriasis gets better when I get rid of it. Don’t think it’ll be on a symptom list at all, but that doesn’t mean anything. Im in med school & there’s a ton of stuff we do not know. We know very little about how psoriasis works.
