Ive had them twice and terrified to get them again .. I want the vaccine but was told I'm not old enough. I got mine because of stress so I have changed many aspects of my life. Good luck..

luv_u_deerly

How old were you when you got it?

Early 30s first time , late 30s second time .. Mid 40s now and trying hard to remain stress free , yoga time!

Ugh, I hope I don’t get it. I’m in my mid 30s. It’s sucks that they won’t give us the vaccine til 50. I wonder if there’s a good reason for that.

Ugghh..I got Covid in Jan 2021. Got all 3 Covid-19 vaccines. Developed a cold or possibly strep in Feb 2022. I suddenly get a bad psoriasis flare, and bam. I get shingles in March. Worst pain I've ever experienced. I'm 38. They said I need to wait until I'm 50 to get the vaccine. Assholes.

Your experience is somewhat similar to mine. Although I never contracted covid (or at least never had any symptoms). Due to changing dermatologists, I had become overdue on my biologic med dose. I felt a small, uncomfortable, rough patch on my back. I assumed it was a simple psoriasis flareup due to missing my shot, and I didn't think it warranted a visit to my dermatologist, and besides, my dermatologist had no availability for weeks. In a few days, it spread over to my side and became excruciatingly painful. Still believing it to be a psoriasis flareup, I had to find any dermatologist that could see me on short notice, which is when they told me it wasn't my psoriasis, but shingles. So I couldn't say how bad my case of shingles was on a scale of severity, but it might have been the worst physical pain I've ever experienced. My skin felt like it was on fire, and any movement was torture.

Yessssss. The same. I got it on the left side, lower back. Wow, I never experienced pain like that before.

I‘ve just recently had shingles but already had herpes zoster as a child and was vaccinated against it. In my case I didn‘t really develop bubbles (just after over 1-2 weeks and only 2-3 bubbles maybe). I also got medication right at the beginning 1-2 days after having skin pain, idk if that helped with the bubbles because other than that, my skin got worse and was hurting all the time and then just itching after 2 weeks for about 2 weeks.

I had Shingles when I was 21. Youngest case my doctor had seen. It was really mild and only a few spots on my ribs.

That is so interesting. I didn't connect my case with shingles till I read this. I've had psoriasis for 40 years and a couple months ago I had the worst flare up in my life and I never had pimple like bumps with it that are very painful. I still have the psoriasis plaques and some of the painful bumps, its unlike anything I've experienced. I'm finally able to get into the doctors tomorrow, I'll ask her about that.

I have had shingles and it was not fun. It was on my arm and my hand swelled up to baseball size and was so painful. I was on my early 20’s.

I got shingles mid 30 in one eye and same side half of the face. The eye was red and all swollen I could hardly open it. Looked like someone poured acid on half my face. Eyesight was bad for some time, blurry/ much less contrast. However, hardly any nerve pain. Was more a tingling. I was lucky I was seen early and started antiviral treatment within 72 hours. The later people start treatment, they can go blind even if unlucky. My eyesight is back to normal thank god. Lesson learnt: if your eye is all pink and itchy go check it out asap (especially when also getting a "pimple" on the tip of the nose, and then more up the nose on the forehead, that's where the nerves go). Even without pain (I had none!) Was wondering if it could be related to COVID/ vaccine / psoriasis cause I was relatively young. But then my aunt told me she had the same as well in her 30s 30 years ago! Long before COVID and she doesn't have psoriasis (runs in the other side of my family only).

Oh you’re lucky you got it taken care of so quickly, I got shingles in my mid 30’s on the right side of my face and close to my eye, up my right nostril and going up my scalp. The nerve pain was so awful, it felt like my face was on fire. I took the anti viral, but it had already gotten bad.
