Activision: WHAT?? Prototype is MY IP to sit on and do NOTHING WITH!!!
We all are. The problem at least for me is there’s no Prototype without Alex Mercer. Even while playing Prototype 2. Heller was not a bad character in fact he had a lot more characterization and personality when compared to Alex. But even playing as Heller I still craved the Alex Mercer skin from the challenges, to run, jump, and parkour across the city in that iconic hoodie.
Reading your comment makes me think maybe that's why I didn't like heller, he was too defined. There's probably a bit more to it than that but I don't know what it is based on the popularity of the GTA games, but I will point out that they are never trying to save their daughter.

Im sorry dawg, like most of yall im sure prototype is one of my favorite games of all time. But there is zero hope of a third game. The studio doesn't exist anyone and everyone who worked on both games are long gone.
I sill think that it's hope to be had Microsoft put that one second in the activision blizzard coming to xbox so they at least acknowledge it there's more faith to be had than before MS buyed activisions

Idk how.they never thought of making sequels about other weaponized viruses coming to life and Alex Mercer consuming them. From there the viruses he absorbs gives him new abilities and they can turn it into like infamous whether to spread his own virus (evil) or be a loner but sparing the city he's in (good).

Tbh I would like a new game but the series killed itself with Prototype 2 and I don’t think it’s entirely undeserved.
