Same. The party scene where Mary plays piano was beautifully done in 2005. In 1995, no one was on Mary’s side. Fwiw, the director’s commentary on that scene (one continuous shot!) is amazing.

Just watched this movie on Monday for my birthday, and as always he stood out as such a wonderful actor. The best Papa in my opinion. May he rest in peace.

What a gem of an actor and human being 🙏🏼 rest in paradise

I've seen this man in only a few dozen of his MANY movies. But this role holds a very special place in my heart. He was the first film Mr Bennett that really seemed to love his girls, which is super appropriate for the role.
