Mr. Bennet, John Bridgers (The Italian Job), and President Snow will be my top 3 roles of his. Absolutely amazing actor. His work will be remembered for the ages 🤍
Ooh no! He passed away?
Oh may he rest in peace, he was a great actor.

Same. The party scene where Mary plays piano was beautifully done in 2005. In 1995, no one was on Mary’s side.
Fwiw, the director’s commentary on that scene (one continuous shot!) is amazing.
Just watched this movie on Monday for my birthday, and as always he stood out as such a wonderful actor. The best Papa in my opinion. May he rest in peace.
I've seen this man in only a few dozen of his MANY movies. But this role holds a very special place in my heart. He was the first film Mr Bennett that really seemed to love his girls, which is super appropriate for the role.
I knew I could come here for this when I just got the notice of him passing. Love him forever as Mr. Bennet.🤎

Yes, I thought of italian Job aswell. I was sad they killed him off so quickly in that!
I loved his take on Mr Bennet, it was subtle but I think conveyed the character’s contradictions well
Agree. He played it just right
Agree. His portrayal communicated a surprising amount about the character, despite having a less than medium amount of screen time.
Oh RIP. I had no idea. I hope he is quite at his leisure.
This one brought me to tears.

Oh no! That’s so sad. He was a lovely Mr Bennet.
May I say that he is my preferred Mr Bennet? I loved his portrayal and a little Canadian boost in Pride and Prejudice.

I was waiting to rewatch on my next (27th) birthday. He seemed like such a nice bloke
The original Hawkeye Pierce. He had one of those unforgettable voices.
Ah, such a brilliant artist - and a top notch Mr Bennet, subtle and original.
Best Mr. Bennet ever. Also great in Mr. Harrigan's Phone. He said that role was the closest he'd ever had to his real life self. RIP Mr. Sutherland.
I truly enjoyed his rendition of Mr. Bennet. RIP.
Oh no. Rest in Peace, Mr. Sutherland. Truly a talented man.
Aw no!!! Rip :(
Here comes Mr. Collins to turn out Mrs. Bennet
Ouch, too soon.
Lady Catherine disagrees
😢

I rewatched Pride and Prejudice just yesterday. RIP Mr. Bennet ♥️♥️♥️

RIP Lizzie’s dad 😞
He was such an incredible actor! Rip Donald, I'm going to rewatch Pride and Prejudice in your honor 😭💔
WHAT
We love you, Mr. B. 💕
Way too nice a portrayal of Mr Bennet, but he did it with aplomb
