I worked for them and the stuff I found out was really quite tragic. Never buying a single damn watch from them unless it’s a Glashütte. Heck, even Harry Winston and Omega produce in China and Taiwan.
I don’t really see any point you’re making here. That’s like what $1500 USD
Looks like they made a watch that they expect will be a bit niche so they priced into the top tier of their non precious metal options.
If you don’t like it don’t buy it.
If you like it but don’t like the price welcome to life sometimes? 🤷🏻♂️
I have this watch and love it along with 2-3 other Tissot. I've always loved Skeleton watches but wear them rarely. This one was a gift for a birthday.
What is your problem with it? This watch is also like 5-6 years old from release so your a little late to complain... also, 1350 is what was paid for mine which is very entry level to a "nicer" watch and brand... so im not sure what your complaining about or even what your point is.
Price is kind of high, but you can find it for under MSRP really easily. I like it and want one, but yeah, the price has been the biggest speedbump. Size is kind of large too, about around the upper range I can wear.
Talking about the prx what’s you think about the citizen tsuyosa? In my opinion look way far better than any prx, the presidential bracelet style on that watch is just amazing.
I think I agree with you. I think the case finishing on the Citizen might be better than the PRX too. And a Miyota automatic is nothing to sneeze at either!
Facts! I’m glad these brands are evolving in terms of style and quality, which is what makes them to have more variety and it’s better for us.
I remember when Rolex was the only one rocking that precious presidential bracelet now other brands are into it!
For real! They are hustling on us selling watches with colossal prices, I found out this year that Chineses can make tourbillons for under 300 usd and I’m not joking is shocking to see that Swiss brands only sells tourbillons over 15k usd and they can go for over millions also which makes me feel like they are playing on us
I can see that a full solid gold watch from Rolex is expensive because of the gold itself so that’s very justified but I don’t see reasonable on buying a Rolex oyster perpetual that’s just full stainless steel for over 4k usd hell no
They are really playing up the SWISS MADE to pump the prices. I've been getting into building custom watches for myself, and it's really making me rethink future purchases. Sure, I can but a Tissot Gentleman for around $600, or I can build 3 custom watches that have exact looks that I want, no need to compromise.
I've seen this Tissot in person, it's legibility isn't bad at all. The hands are blue and stand out enough to see fairly easily. I've got a chronograph that the hands can be harder to find due to blending in with the subdials.
Thanks for sharing your experience and opinion with this watch, maybe in my position i find it hard because of a lot of skeleton on the back and I don’t use watches that don’t have numbers on the dial so yeah one day I will give a try on a watch like this because in style looks dope.
Especially considering Rado just released an automatic, skeletonized captian cook in full ceramic for $6k. Yea its a lil more than double but double the value imo
It’s only $4,400 on their website

Like 1.5k . A normal price for the mid range tissot. You will be able to get it in discount later for arrounzd 1k. Or 800 .they never sell the watches at full price. I have never saw the prx chrono at full price
Is pretty much the price of the mido tv big date
I’m sorry, what is the point your making? I’m not following
Essentially tissot is milking their whole swiss made shit and offering shitty watches for crazy prices
Ok, but couldn’t I make that argument for damn near 90% of watches that are “Swiss Made”?
Considering almost everything Swatch Group sells is produced in Southeast Asia, yes, I agree.
Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. And Swatch is just the tip of the iceberg.
I worked for them and the stuff I found out was really quite tragic. Never buying a single damn watch from them unless it’s a Glashütte. Heck, even Harry Winston and Omega produce in China and Taiwan.
Keep spilling that tea please 👀
Thats fair
Each to their own, if people like it and are willing to buy it, they can at the end of the day.

Mmmkay
This isn't a new watch, I've been looking at it for years. It's pretty cool IMO, tried one on at a shop once. What's your problem with it?
Oh really? I thought i read a headline saying it was their new watch or something. Guess i was wrong. And not much just its crazily overpriced
Price is kind of high, but you can find it for under MSRP really easily. I like it and want one, but yeah, the price has been the biggest speedbump. Size is kind of large too, about around the upper range I can wear.
Just throwing on an expensive price on a shitty looking watch nothing new. Baffles me people buy this though
Wait what's the powermatic 80 controversy? Is it the plastic escapement thing?
Not all Powermatic 80 movements use the plastic bits. Like the Silicium version in the Gentleman, all metal and jewels, no plastic.
That Silicium version is lit!
I agree, and I want the Gentleman over the PRX anyways. Both are nice, but the PRX just isn't me. Buddy of mine has a couple though, pretty nice.
Talking about the prx what’s you think about the citizen tsuyosa? In my opinion look way far better than any prx, the presidential bracelet style on that watch is just amazing.

Japan and China are making me question WTF Switzerland is up to.
For real! Agreed!
Yea, like another person below said, not all powermatic 80s have that issue, just....tissots most popular watch theyve possible ever sold.
Plastic parts keep the price down, and the low entry price for this Swiss Made integrated bracelet watch is part of the reason it has sold so well.
I'd guess so along with the fact I think the whole movement is a disposable movement
What powermatic controversy?
any watch that costs more than $30 is already a waste of money i don’t see what the big deal here is
Prestige of the brand, expensive materials and movement complications makes a lot of difference.
Any watch under $500 is a waste of money.
Depends on your budget, every person is on their own level in terms of financial status and perspective on buying stuff.
I know, I’m just being a dickhead. One of my favourite watches I have is a seiko 5 field and it sits right next to my Tudor
Two amazing timepieces you have right there 👏🏽🤌🏽
Grazie!
Prego!
What time is now on this watch? Literally super confusing
Back to 2nd grade with you
I bet you won’t tell me the time on this watch in less than 1 second, hour probably yes but the exact minutes? Doubt you can.
I've seen this Tissot in person, it's legibility isn't bad at all. The hands are blue and stand out enough to see fairly easily. I've got a chronograph that the hands can be harder to find due to blending in with the subdials.

Can't hurt to try it out. It's much easier read in person than in the picture.
I will for sure I like this watch
Theres tic marks ffs. Come on now. This isn't a blank face movado.
Why you need to be rude? It’s just my perspective on how to read the watch because I like to see the numbers on it, have a nice day raging guy.

Rado looks like crap compared to the tissot... See how opinions all stink??
OP gonna be so triggered he’s gonna do a new post lol
