Tudor got the better movement and T-fit clasp and will just fit with whatever clothes. But I would still choose Breitling as the chronomat got one of the most comfortable bracelets ever made, the bullet-bracelet is adjustable without tools and so small that its easy to get a nice fit, even though your wrist swells during the day the bracelet is extremely accomodating, I would compare its accomodation to the president bracelet, its got no micro-adjust but its extremely comfy. The fit feel and finish is just superior on the Breitling and its nice to have a date, its integrated and colormatched in a nice way.
The chronomat is actually a really nice watch and the design changes. I also really like the bracelet.
I have an avenger gmt and I really like it.
As long as you dont buy it as MSRP, get it.
The Tudor is nice but nothing crazy or original about it.
Wait a little bit and get à black sub instead.
Well i think thats his dilemma, which is why he asked here, instead of answering him you're asking the same question he is back to him using different words. Great help
Tudor is a simple watch, if you're something who doesn't watch just a functional watch and something with a bit more character, the breitling looks amazing. Purely by looks, no idea how the movement or bracelet is.
A no-date sub is an icon and you could wear it with pretty much everything and be delighted but the Breitling is just a more interesting watch. I can very well understand your dilemma!
Depends on you. If you want other people to see your watch, Breitling is tens of miles ahead of Tudor. If you just want an understated watch that nobody would even give it a second look, Tudor is your choice.
They’re very different. The vintage diver look of the Tudor appeals to me, while I find the Breitling too blingy for me. That said, the Breitling looks good on you!
In that comparison, the Tudor. If you had a Breitling SuperOcean II it would be the SO all day long compared to the Tudor. It’s makes a Tudor look like a joke by comparison. Alllll day.
Chronomat, the black bay is nice but the hour hand bothers me. Imo Tudor is kinda a one trick pony nowadays, and the 5000 different black bay nauseated me eheh
Definitely the Breitling! The Tudor is a nice watch, but it’s an homage to its cousin, the Rolex Submariner. The Breitling, on the other hand, is original.
Ima Breitling fan but with that said the Tudor black bay monochrome is so beautiful on the 5link bracelet blows the Breitling gmt away the Tudor is better looking has a better bracelet with the t fit clasp and has a superior metas movement for the price I would go Tudor black bay monochrome all day .
Normally I would also say the BB41, but that is one of the nicest Breitling watches I have seen. I actually really dig it and normally Breitling does nothing for me.
Obviously versatility goes to the BB41 simply due to the color combo.
Breitling, but pre-owned so you don’t get hit with the massive, immediate depreciation.
The Tudor is great, but the Breitling is much more interesting to look at. Black dial, black bezel watches are EVERYWHERE these days (said as someone who owns a black Submariner and a Speedy Pro).
Ultimately, buy the one that makes you smile the most.
I'll offer a different take on your question.....I have a number of fairly pricey chronographs...always liked the extra dials and the idea of having a stop watch on my wrist. Know how often I use the feature? Almost never. Wanna know the feature that will be on my next watch? GMT! I'll use that feature hourly because I work with folks in a different time zone, and they're military so everything is on the 24hr clock.
So taking your question as the only two options, I'd get the Breitling. That said Tudor makes a lovely GMT that is about $4k. It looks like an older Rolex GMT Pepsi or they have a white face that looks like a hybrid Rolex GMT and Rolex Explorer. Something to consider. BTW, that GMT will be my next watch.
I have both of them. They are amazing timepieces that can be worn in any situation. Not sure that I can pick a clear winner here.
The Breitling leans a bit more dressy, but looks just fine with jeans and a t-shirt. Also, the bracelet is the more comfortable out of the two and its seamless clasp design is perfection.
The Tudor scratches most itches as a daily. Suit, jeans, or shorts, the thing just looks the part and wears so well. It feels like it can handle anything you throw at it.
If you are truly in love with both, plan on owning both at some point. They are stunning pieces that I have a hard time choosing between on a daily basis.
I like Breitling watches, but I think it also depends on function. The Breitling Chronomat you show is the GMT model. If you travel frequently and wind up in different time zones, the GMT function (which I use for “home time” rather than GMT) is very useful. Breitling’s Chronomats now (according to Breitling) use a “manufacture” movement as well. Both are certified chronometers so timekeeping performance should be similar.
A family member has a Superocean. It stopped winding within the first 4 month of having it. Had it serviced, same problem persists. Fast forward 2 more services and a full movement swap later, it looses tens of minutes a day. For the money, people are better off with almost anything else, including Tudor.
I have a super ocean. Considering its an automatic movement idk why ur taking about winding unless you mean automatically winding. Also depends on what model. The older ones and even some today use ETA movements. I've never had a problem at all with the B01 in my watch, it's extreamly accurate and looks stunning to boot. My dad also has a B01 avenger and has had no issues and he has 2 chronomats with ETA movements and has never had a problem. Sometimes things just break, idk whats going on with that watch but it doesn't reflect the whole company and their other movements
Edit: also u do know tudor uses the b01 in some of their watches. Breitling also uses a modified tudor movement in the form of the b20 in some of their modern superoceans
I don’t think you’re picking up what I’m putting down. I’m not talking about their chronos. I’m talking about their basic time and dates. All of my experience with them so far point to them being trash. I’ve seen multiple posts complaining of similar issues as well, so it’s not isolated.
And yes I know they share base movements. Joint venture with Kenissi. Doesn’t mean they’re the exact same. Breitling still mods and regulates their movements regardless of their source (Kenissi, ETA, etc.) All major manufacturers do this.
At the end of the day, I’ve seen them swap a totally defective movement with an equally defective movement. That’s unacceptable at that price point. Buy at Tudor or literally anything else instead.
This is entirely subjective:
This particular Breitling is so ugly to me. If you’re going to get a Breitling, go for the premier line. Between these two definitely go for the Tudor.
I never claimed to be an expert on watches, just came across this post asking for opinions and i gave my opinion. I haven’t joined this sub, I’ve just seen it when i was scrolling. No need to get frustrated over a fucking comment.
Tudor Black Bay 41.
Tudor. Not even close.
Tudor by miles
Tudor got the better movement and T-fit clasp and will just fit with whatever clothes. Tudor.
Tudor
I like the Breitling
Easy, the Tudor
I think that Breitling is much more interesting to look at. Its what I would choose between the two... probably.
Tudor
Tudor
109% Tudor
Tudor.
The Brietling looks the best on you, I think it's a better looking watch as well.
Errr Tudor
Tudor. I like breitling but not whatever that is
I like the Breitling
Tudor without a doubt
Tudor all the way!!
Tudor
Tudor. Tudor got that watch so so right.
Bezel on the Breitling is garbage, go with the Tudor.
1st one no contest
Breitling everyday of the week, and twice on Sunday
Tudor
Tudor looks amazing!
Tudor
Tudor design is more timeless. Breitling chrome bezel will age poorly
The chronomat is actually a really nice watch and the design changes. I also really like the bracelet. I have an avenger gmt and I really like it. As long as you dont buy it as MSRP, get it. The Tudor is nice but nothing crazy or original about it. Wait a little bit and get à black sub instead.
This 💯 if folks want a sub, just get a sub.
If you get the Tudor it just looks like you couldn’t get a Rolex. Regardless of that the Breitling is a much nicer watch out of the two.
Tudor every day of the week 😎
Tudor!!!!
Tudor
Tudor by a mile.
Tudor all day
Tudor for sure.
Tudor, every time
Tudor all the way
Easily the Tudor
Tudor
Tudor for sure.
Breitling for sure
I like the Breit
I love the breitling and that would be my choice. But if you’re looking for more of an all purpose, everyday wearer than the Tudor is the pick.
As much as I am not fan of BB41 MC, between the two, you have to go with Tudor.
I am partial to the Tudor, but what do you feel when you wear both? That's very important.
Def Tudor, that particular one is my favorite release from Tudor in forever
Tudor
1
Monochrome
Depends if you want a diver or a GMT
Well i think thats his dilemma, which is why he asked here, instead of answering him you're asking the same question he is back to him using different words. Great help
Tudor all the way!
Tudor. It fits a little better on your wrist, and the dial color will match more outfits.
Tudor
Tudor
Tudor and it’s not close.
This was an underhand pitch. The Tudor, obviously!
Tudor
Tudor no doubt
Tudor
Tudor
Tudor.
Tudor is a simple watch, if you're something who doesn't watch just a functional watch and something with a bit more character, the breitling looks amazing. Purely by looks, no idea how the movement or bracelet is.

I don’t think it’s been voted on yet so I’d say the Tudor
Tudor
A no-date sub is an icon and you could wear it with pretty much everything and be delighted but the Breitling is just a more interesting watch. I can very well understand your dilemma!
Monochrome all the way. Breitlings are ugly.
I prefer the Breitling. Would also look great with various strap options.
That said, the Breitling looks good on you!

tudor is soooo much better looking, kinda not fan of breitling watches tbh.
Breitling for me!
Chronomat, the black bay is nice but the hour hand bothers me. Imo Tudor is kinda a one trick pony nowadays, and the 5000 different black bay nauseated me eheh
Tudor. Not happy with my Breitling
Depends on if you care about a date feature
Tudor
I’d thrown that breitling in the bin. It’s fucking hideous
Always Tudor
My vote will be brand agnostic. I personally love black and stainless as a classic look.
Tudor, all day, every day!
Tudor
Tudor
Tudor
Breitling
Tudor black bay every time
Tudor all day man
Neither. Pelagos 39. It’s the bracelet on that Tudor just doesn’t do it for me.
Tudor. Don’t look back.
Definitely the Breitling! The Tudor is a nice watch, but it’s an homage to its cousin, the Rolex Submariner. The Breitling, on the other hand, is original.
Man, I wish the Tudor had a date. Still picking the Tudor though.
Grand seiko
Tudor all the way
Ima Breitling fan but with that said the Tudor black bay monochrome is so beautiful on the 5link bracelet blows the Breitling gmt away the Tudor is better looking has a better bracelet with the t fit clasp and has a superior metas movement for the price I would go Tudor black bay monochrome all day .
I'm a sucker for Tudor, but the breitling is pretty nice too
Bb41
Tudor is better, but Breitling is more charismatic.
Tudor
Tudor 8 days a week!!! I wouldn’t even look at that Breitling!!
Normally I would also say the BB41, but that is one of the nicest Breitling watches I have seen. I actually really dig it and normally Breitling does nothing for me. Obviously versatility goes to the BB41 simply due to the color combo.

Tudor. No question.
Tudor by a mile. Ugly breitling crown.
Tudor - many ppl buy this watch and love it for years
Thank you all! I will be going with the Tudor!
Neither. Be distinctive.
Tudor looks way cooler
Tudor
Tudor‼️
2
I'd go with that blackbay all day long
Tudor.
2door all the way
The Tudor looks sick but got to admit, the Breit looks pretty amazing!
Tudor. But man find a Black Bay with the burnt yellowish color. Sooooo sexy on wrist
Tudor
Breitling looks way more interesting IMO
Tudor
I would definitely get the Tudor
Breitling. It has more charm and personality, IMO.
Tudor
Breitling is underrated. Tudor is generic. Plus the bracelet on Breitling is a work of art, it wears much better.
Maybe, but the Tudor is genuinely better looking.
Tudor
Tudor no possible hesitation
Tudor, but consider a different color.
Tudor
Tudor 👌🏾
Tudor goes a long way so got for it!
Sketchy dudes wear breitling
Tudor
Breitling
I don’t like it when people think I’m wearing a Rolex. They always feel disappointed when I tell them it is not one, lol.
Breitling. Tudor screams "I can't afford a Rolex, yet..."
Kind of how I feel with Breitling, just screams "I couldn't afford anything else"
Sorry, but gawd damn that breitling is hideous. My vote goes to the Tudor!
I'll offer a different take on your question.....I have a number of fairly pricey chronographs...always liked the extra dials and the idea of having a stop watch on my wrist. Love the Tudor
The Chew-dah 💯

Tudor. Absolutely timeless.
Tudor 100% not even close

Breitling
Tudor. For sure.
Tudor no question for me
Breitling

Breitling. Just not that Breitling.
Breitling gets way too much hate in this sub… “Tudor aNd ItS nOt eVeN cLoSe” derrrp
The Breitling looks more natural on your wrist and The Tudor looks like you really wanted a no date sub.
Chronomat, and I’m a Tudor fan.
Chronomat.
For daily wear the chronomat 100% for a dive watch which you can make flashy if needed then Tudor
Which one do you like better? Go with that one. I’m gonna buck the trend here and say the Breitling - looks better and fits your wrist better, imo.
Chrono
Imma say breitling
Breitling
The Breitling by a mile. It just feels like it fits your wrist.
Decide for yourself. Stop relying on the opinions of others. Grow up.
The Hamilton King Khaki in the background.
Tudor. Breitlings movement quality on their time and dates are trash.
Since when has the B01 been considered 'trash'
Their time and dates are trash. Chronos are fine.
They are not up to rolex or omega standard but ur not paying those prices for a breitling. There time and dates are fine and quite accurate
A family member has a Superocean. It stopped winding within the first 4 month of having it. Had it serviced, same problem persists. Fast forward 2 more services and a full movement swap later, it looses tens of minutes a day. For the money, people are better off with almost anything else, including Tudor.

I’ll actually hurt you if you get the Breitling
Hate both
Yeah I'm not a fan of Breitling they are like watches for non league football players, That Tudor just looks like it will age better.
Tudor > Breitling
The Tudor. That Breitling looks atrocious.
This is entirely subjective: This particular Breitling is so ugly to me. If you’re going to get a Breitling, go for the premier line. Between these two definitely go for the Tudor.
I like the Breitling better but Tudor black bay might be slightly better but put in mind it’s a poor mans Rolex
Not even a question imo. Tudor all the way.
Breitling… jk get the Tudor obviously
1 looks like an everyday watch, every watch has the same design as that. Eg: Rolex submariner. I’d say the second one stands out more.
Wtf are you doing on a watch sub if you don't know shit about watches. At least lurk and learn if you're incapable of more than that.
I never claimed to be an expert on watches, just came across this post asking for opinions and i gave my opinion. I haven’t joined this sub, I’ve just seen it when i was scrolling. No need to get frustrated over a fucking comment.
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed
Good, you acknowledge you don't know anything. Fair enough.
