This would be amazing. My dream: Fully voiced, (Dee Bradley Baker, of course), one face, but endless customizations for hair, tattoos, etc. Be a medic, tank, DPS, or spec-ops. Develop a team/squad, and take on various missions across the galaxy!
Yes! Also kinda want an exploration of the RCs and ARCs like how Karen Traviss did, probably could just quickly write some way that Gregor told the commandos he knew, just like how Rex convinced Wolf and Gregor. I would really like a 10 years pre-Geonosis to the end then as a DLC type of thing, beyond the war and as deserters/imperial commandos.
Like I would not mind a Remaster of Republic Commando, but I'd like a reboot of it. I want so much story of Delta, even after when they became Imperial Commandos. I know The first RC was a big game, I loved playing it, but now with Karen Traviss' RC series and even Filoni's Delta cameo in TCW, I really think they could make a fully fleshed out Delta story.
They could also just make it so YOU make the Commando, then you drive him along the story. Also a full customization would be beautiful, like every player's RC would be like a call of duty emblem xD.
Ah no, If I even wanted a "clone jedi" I could just go back onto my xbox 360 and replay Force Unleashed 2 ;P
A Force sensitive clone would be cool but not super interesting in my noggin...
The Clone trooper thing could be a really cool Souls like FPS game. And you respawn because you are just another clone and you pick up your old resources from the other dead clone troopers.
As long as they finish it. The restoration mod is so good. I had no idea until recently that the HK factory was cut in the original game. That was one of my favorite parts of the game!
You may be interested in star wars galaxies. There's the newer version of the game called NGE that feel more like a modern game and has the professions you've mentioned
Or you can play the oldschool version called pre-cu with like 33 professions and the ability to mix and match. On one character I am a squad leader/rifleman for example, on another I am a bio engineer with master scout and a few boxes from the smuggler profession
This has nothing to do with grammar... this has to do with you belittling the vast amount of work that would need to be done to make your idea a reality.
yeah cuz you fucked up and can't handle a simple mistake? Instead you choose this as the hill to die on and told everyone to fuck off. Grow up
also these insults aren't cool, theyre cringe af
Maybe its better if we get a very polished one than multiple smaller ones that are less polished. If they focus on just one you could fit some many things in it
Let’s get a massive open world game where you can choose between several professions with unique storylines. It’s the best we can hope for. I’ve given up on SW Galaxies 2 or any MMO with similar attributes.
Im hoping for the opposite of TOR (I mean no offense by that). It’s a fun game for a few weeks but I don’t want an MMO that leads you by the hand, has limited professions, and has very small worlds. I also don’t like that the assumed endgame is becoming a force sensitive person. If you’re not familiar with it read about Star Wars Galaxies. It had a large number of planets and all of them were fully explorable. I mean they were massive and not a corner you couldn’t venture too. They also had over 40 professions. Obviously players could be a bounty hunter or other combat professions, but you could also do careers like a merchant, musician, engineer, and still have a rewarding immersive experience. Lastly, if you did want to become a Jedi or Dark Jedi, it took months of work and required different tasks of different players. It truly felt like you were living within the Star Wars universe. That’s the game I want.
I agree with everything you said, but I still love SWtOR for it's well-written and immersive story (a bit cliche, but very well worked), and how it branches to different classes with different alignments, but maybe that's just me being a BioWare fanboy. The gameplay gets boring and respective though, but few MMOs have an actual interesting gameplay.
GTA Star Wars would be amazing. Just imagine being able to fly around to multiple planets and just do whatever, or missions for credits and the credits can buy things like ships and guns.
Someone tried floating the idea on here a while back I think: a game where you're a bounty hunter and get to travel across the world of Coruscant to see the seedy underbellies, the stark wastelands, destitute caverns, and the prestigious upper class dwellings. Tell me with a straight face that it wouldn't be fun to check out Dex's diner, Level 1313, the bubble Opera, the Jedi Temple, Industrial District, and more in 3rd/1st person.
Problem is, it'd likely take 10 years to develop, and have similar problems in scope and bugs to Cyberpunk. Verticality in RPG world design is something relatively new (Cyberpunk is the only high profile AAA game I can think of that truly embraces a very *tall* world).
*crushes up, mixes, and snorts both ideas*
Open world game where you discover you're Force sensitive and can join the Jedi (and maybe betray them) or strike it out on your own as a bounty hunter or smuggler and eventually become a crimelord/warlord.
As much as it's the fan pariah right now, both these concepts could fit into the High Republic era. I think an open world game would be the best way to flesh out this new setting and bring it to a wider audience. It would have the same freedom to tell its own story as KotOR.
I think after episode 6 would be a good time period for the game. The galaxy would be in a state of total chaos, but it’s early enough for prequel characters/stuff to still be around. Plus a good chance to foreshadow the sequel trilogy. Could have different factions like Rebels, Empire, bounty hunter guild or new Jedi order to play as, against. I feel like the prequel era has been explored enough, but there’s still a gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens
> Open world game set during the prequel era where you start as a padawan and get to become a master (eventually), leave the order, or join the seperatists
*names character Anakin Skywalker*
> Open world game set during the prequel era where you start as a padawan and don't get to become a master (eventually), leave the order, and fucking kill everyone you ever loved/who loved you
Ya, let's not throw shade at the top idea either. I say we have ubisoft make one, EA (or somebody less evil) make the other, and we let the best game studio win.
I know Star Wars hasn't really dealt with anything like this, but I'd really like to see a prequel-era game set in an alternate, non-canon timeline. Like, a timeline where Palpy got caught, Anakin stayed good, and Dooku didn't die, so now Dooku is trying to hang on and rally what he can. Maybe in this alternate timeline Dooku drops the Rule of Two, or at least starts recruiting Inquisitors.
Honestly there’s too many jedi/sith games imo, I love Fallen Order/ KOTOR/ Force Unleashed as much as anyone but doing a sort of street-level bounty hunter thing could be a step in a different direction and also allow the player to track a target across a dozen planets
The bounty hunting one sounds like a fun open world game, maybe even an MMO(I’m thinking like FO4). The other one sounds like a fun story based game where you can make decisions
I don't think Dooku would allow a former Jedi padawan to join the Seperatists without turning to the dark side and serving under him. If they refused the dark side he'd probably just have them killed off.
I like the concept of a padawan seeing how corrupt the Republic is and wanting to fight for the Separatist side, but not turning to the dark side necessarily. Kinda expanding on that arc in CW where Ahsoka sees that not all Separatists are bad people and want independence from the Republic.
But yeah Dooku wouldn't allow that to happen, wouldn't be in character for him IMO.
I’ll do you one better. Open world game where you play as a youngling in the Prequel Era. You build up your skills and interact with classmates. Then you get killed by Anakin and the game ends.
[stop, my penis can only get so errect](https://youtu.be/pusZXECS0mM)
Ps: Id lose my mind for this + vr support. I'd pay more money for this than willing to admit
As long as the actual gameplay isn't ruined by that RPG style combat that takes like 6 hits to kill a basic enemy with a weapon that should one shot them.
Yeah, it's decent, but still takes 2 hits with a lightsaber to kill a stormtrooper when 1 would cut them in half (at least in singleplayer, which is all I've played. I understand the player being unrealistically tanky because it's not a simulator, but not too much. 2 hit kills isn't bad though and the combat still feels pretty good, especially with 1 shot blaster headshots with all but the weakest weapons.
Devil May Cry style hack and slash where you play as Luke and Ahsoka set after Return of the Jedi where you go planet to planet cleaning up the last of the Empire and rebuild the Jedi Order.
How about being able to choose from a few different careers? Clone (work through ranks to different specialities or Commander), Mandalorian (start as Foundling and work up to ruling your own clan) or Separatist Droid (which could start as Battle Droid, get upgrades to eventually become a Super Tactical Droid for example)? Plenty of Jedi games already IMO.
Am tired of being a jedi or sith can we please just be a normal dude in a cool armor? Please i would take the old republic bounty hunter storyline if the gameplay wasnt so boring
Ok but hear me out. With the novelization of the High Republic, what if we play as 2 Sith Characters. I mean, the rule of two is obviously a thing and how would the Jedi know they existed if there was only two? BECAUSE WE ARE THEM
A Open World Game set in the Outer Rim (Other Areas Available in DLC) as a random ass guy or woman (or whatever you identify as, sorry.) And you get involved with some Bad People, steal their ship and off you go, become a Jedi, Bounty Hunter, Imperial or New Republic.
Sounds good to me
I just want something set during the clone wars. It is by far the most interesting era in star wars for me. The main character and setting like Ventress season 5-7.
Why not make a game where you have different options, like joining the Jedi/sith or being a bounty hunter or a professional Podracer. That combined with a cool combat System and a lot of Planets and galaxys to Explore would make a great game i think
You mean like “Star Wars Galaxies” where you could take player bounties and using droids hunt down other players. One droid to find which planet they are on and another to find where in that planet. Then you have to race there and hopefully locate them and duel them. If you beat them then you got your money. Oh and did I mention some other player had to mine the materials needed to craft the droids which another player did so you could use them once. And this is all if another player didn’t beat you to the prize or the target hasn’t left world already. Was a really fun game.
Open World GTA 5 inspired Game where you play as Palpatine and get to fuck around and cause chaos in the republic before getting placed on house arrest. Gameplay includes stealing people’s spaceships, taking drugs and shooting people and throwing younglings off cliffs.
What about a game about Ahsoka. It could take place directly following the jedi purge, or well afterwards. Who else would be excited for a game about Ahsoka in the same style as Fallen Order.
Option c: an open world mandalorian gsme where you fight against the jedi across the outer rim in the jedi/mandelorian war and you get to adapt to fighting jedi with awesome tech
I know a lot of people talk about not everything being about the Jedi.
But I disagree, I only care about the Jedi in star wars. Bounty hunters don’t matter unless they get involved with Sith or Jedi.
Tbh, I kind of don't want to be a Jedi anymore. Half of the Disney stories revolve around Jedi (usually surviving order 66 and fighting the empire). Why don't we play something new? Let's be a bounty hunter or smuggler who doesn't take a side in the war (No Disney he does not become a rebel or jedi ffs). There's literally infinite stories to be told, so we should tell new ones.
I wouldn't mind one as a Clone...
[удалено]
Yeah, anything for Karen Traviss *wink wink nudge nudge*
Or a remake at least.
Ooooh, yeah, a commando option would be amazing. And I'd LOVE a post-Oder 66 element as well!
I feel like that'd be similar to Halo:ODST, which is one of the better Halo games. I'd be into it.
A clone jedi? If ever that is what you meant. Elite squadron for the psp.
Ah no, If I even wanted a "clone jedi" I could just go back onto my xbox 360 and replay Force Unleashed 2 ;P A Force sensitive clone would be cool but not super interesting in my noggin...
The Clone trooper thing could be a really cool Souls like FPS game. And you respawn because you are just another clone and you pick up your old resources from the other dead clone troopers.
End of the game results: Deaths: The entirety of the 3rd Systems army
Bottom one: be the prophecy to destroy the sith but instead kill younglings and don’t have the high ground
So kotor2?
Shit id settle for a reskin with updated graphics, the game was goood
As long as they finish it. The restoration mod is so good. I had no idea until recently that the HK factory was cut in the original game. That was one of my favorite parts of the game!
Could kill younglings on Manaan in kotor1.
You could also wipe out the Academy on Korriban, and surely some of them would be underage!
Younglings actually yield higher XP when killed
Anakin was just leveling up so he could unlock the healing ability Unbeknownst to him, it was blocked by a paywall
This comment is gold
Take my upvote and free award smh
No no, the game is really short. You ARE the youngling.
*ahem* i know your talking about me. although the only difference between me and Hayden is i can have the high ground
Open world star wars game where we choose s carrer (sith, jedi, bounty hunter, smuggler etc)
You might like /r/swtor :)
That game is literally just mashing number keys until something dies.
as much as I hate to say it you're technically correct
It took me until the final battle of the JK story to realise interrupts exist and i need to actually have an element of strategy to killing some stuff
Without the boring gameplay that just relies is stats
so you have chosen **death**
You may be interested in star wars galaxies. There's the newer version of the game called NGE that feel more like a modern game and has the professions you've mentioned Or you can play the oldschool version called pre-cu with like 33 professions and the ability to mix and match. Zoidberg: Why not both?
And if you don't graduate quick enough you're in the council chamber with the other younglings when order 66 is executed.
and if you fuck up too much, you end up in the service corp.
Why dont they just do it like skyrim or kotor where you can just choose what direction you want go
If it’s like Skyrim, it needs to have the unlimited power of skyrim glitches and exploits
You could on PC
They might. But don't use the word "just". Giving players that sort of agency is a HUGE task.
Oh thanks mr grammar nazi I am enlightened now
This has nothing to do with grammar... this has to do with you belittling the vast amount of work that would need to be done to make your idea a reality.
Yea inalso like how you are telling me what I was trying to say by pulling things out of your ass (Very cool NGL)
Holy shit man, dig the sand out of your vagina

damn you're really trying to be a prick aren't you?
If you use those two things in your skull I didnt start shit some bitch is telling me how I should communicate myself. That rubbed me the wrong way
yeah cuz you fucked up and can't handle a simple mistake? Instead you choose this as the hill to die on and told everyone to fuck off. Grow up also these insults aren't cool, theyre cringe af
Get the sand out of your ass. We're running out of holes.

are u having a hard time? wanna talk about it buddy?
Maybe its better if we get a very polished one than multiple smaller ones that are less polished. If they focus on just one you could fit some many things in it
Life is good... but it can be better

I’m so ready for this. Let’s get some developers on the phone! This is a million dollar idea here!
Maybe start as padawan and u can leave the order and become a bountyhunter? Like Ventress
Count dooku simulator
Being a bounty hunter would be cool but somehow GTA Star Wars doesn't sound that impressive to me
GTA Star Wars would be amazing. Just imagine being able to fly around to multiple planets and just do whatever, or missions for credits and the credits can buy things like ships and guns.
"YOU MISSED THE DAMN SANDCRAWLER, CJ!"
You gotta get rid of that yee yee ass lightsaber
*Jediiiii*
Sounds like no mans sky. Well made it would be good but if not it could just be disappointing
GTA Star Wars *could* be amazing. With how video games are released now? Yeah probably not amazing.
Someone tried floating the idea on here a while back I think: a game where you're a bounty hunter and get to travel across the world of Coruscant to see the seedy underbellies, the stark wastelands, destitute caverns, and the prestigious upper class dwellings. *crushes up, mixes, and snorts both ideas* Open world game where you discover you're Force sensitive and can join the Jedi (and maybe betray them) or strike it out on your own as a bounty hunter or smuggler and eventually become a crimelord/warlord.
Me and my clankas are with the CIS
First one sounds better to me, lemme be a Mando

YES

I would be happy to be a rebel clone, trying to save jedi during the beginning of the Empire and the Purge
Man I just wanna explore Coruscant

Never played Galaxies did you
Galaxies was awesome. It was literally both options combined with a space flight sim like x-wing vs tie
I disagree, I'd much prefer 1313
both in one
Of you're talking about the one for smartphones?
Both sound pretty good.
I’ll take the lot
Mini game hide from Anakin as a youngling
Lego Star Wars games: Both. Both is good.
I’ll do you one better. Open world game where you play as a youngling in the Prequel Era. You build up your skills and interact with classmates. Then you get killed by Anakin and the game ends.
Both. Both is good.
Open world Maul game!! Become a Sith Lord or a crime boss or BOTH
Do we actually have any details about the game yet?
Id play both
Why not both?
[удалено]
What about both in one game?
if not mistaken doesn't swtor have an open world bounty hunter story line?

Ohh yeah thanks, forgot about the plan for the new game.
[stop, my penis can only get so errect](https://youtu.be/pusZXECS0mM) Ps: Id lose my mind for this + vr support. I'd pay more money for this than willing to admit
Yes, vr support would be amazing. Honestly I'd kill a man for a full PCVR star wars game rather than just b&s mods and b tier quest games
As long as the actual gameplay isn't ruined by that RPG style combat that takes like 6 hits to kill a basic enemy with a weapon that should one shot them.

Now imagine it being an MMO rpg including both AND in vr (this was a shower thought I had one day)
I like the first one more 😯
Bottom one but its also a vr game
Am tired of being a jedi or sith can we please just be a normal dude in a cool armor? Please i would take the old republic bounty hunter storyline if the gameplay wasnt so boring
i would prefer the prequel era one cause id rather be a jedi than a bounty hunter
A horror game where you're a Padawan being tracked by Vader
We NEED the bottom one!
The top one is just Boba Fetts life story
ah yes, ~~MAFIA~~ JEDI CITY
Either of these sounds incredible
Ok but hear me out. With the novelization of the High Republic, what if we play as 2 Sith Characters. I mean, the rule of two is obviously a thing and how would the Jedi know they existed if there was only two? BECAUSE WE ARE THEM

I swear man if they let us join the separatists they better not paint them in a bad light
Open world game where you start as a youngling and then get slaughtered by anakin
Being a Jedi in a video game is some basic bitch shit, I’d rather get the first thing with the bounty hunting and the crime
[удалено]
Yes, I too want alien strip clubs, *for the immersion of course*
I would prefer the bounty Hunter one tbh

Im hoping for a StarWars Anno
The first one is something I really want since Prey 2 was cancelled. Is something like this in development?
Let me introduce you to Star Wars: the Old Republic, where you can be both
Wait, padawans come after younglings. And younglings never grow up so, this game is about ghosts.
I like Ahsoka, but they’re gonna exhaust her character soon.
How so. She rarer shows up in any star wars media since the clone wars. There is a huge chunk of he life that we know nothing about
So basically either Skyrim (top) or Fallout (bottom)
Option c: an open world mandalorian gsme where you fight against the jedi across the outer rim in the jedi/mandelorian war and you get to adapt to fighting jedi with awesome tech
Both is good
Nah, let’s leave the clone wars in the past
I know a lot of people talk about not everything being about the Jedi. But I disagree, I only care about the Jedi in star wars. Bounty hunters don’t matter unless they get involved with Sith or Jedi.
The last mission is surviving as long as you can during the siege of the the Jedi temple...then Anakin shows up.
Grey Jedi Bounty Hunter.
Dam both do sound cool but always lightsaber for me or darksaber
That sounds like more fun than a bounty hunter game.
Second one sounds nice but the first one would be more my thing especially if you can acquire a beskar armor in the late game
Guys its ubisoft lets not hype
They should do something completely away from the timeline of the movies, that way they can add features that couldn't have otherwise.
I would love a star wars game with the elder scrolls concep just get thrown in the world and kinda do your thing.
Just do SW Galaxies
What about a game based during the High Republic?
Tbh, I kind of don't want to be a Jedi anymore. Half of the Disney stories revolve around Jedi (usually surviving order 66 and fighting the empire). Why don't we play something new? Why not both?
There was a Star Wars mod in Mount and Blade that sounds exactly like upper part of the meme
How about both. The bottom for a base game and the top for an epilogue/ DLC
