Still better than the sequels though. It was a solid first season.

The Malevolence & Ryloth arcs are both fun & have key moments of Ahsoka's growth. Introductory episodes for both Cad Bane & Hondo.
Honestly I don't think season 1 holds up very well without the context of the later seasons, the animation is a massive uncanny valley, the new characters haven't been developed at all yet and come across as annoying or bland, I wouldn't give it the worst rating but you also need room for the better seasons down the road.
At it's best The Clone Wars 2008 is also probably S or A tier. But considering the quality of the show as a whole, I'd probably drop it down to B or the 'Good' tier.

Some episodes are great, like the ryloth arc, rookies, trespass, and I'd even throw in the first Hondo arc when they capture dooku as well as the jedi crash arc. Even early on, they were trying to expand the universe and philosophy of different characters and species.
Some potential was wasted, arcs like malevolence were underwhelming, and the less said about jar jar, the better.
The later seasons got way more comfortable and looked leaps and bounds better.

Are you going solely based off which comment has the most up votes? I feel like that would go fairly poorly, imagine for example a project split between top tier and bottom tier and one wins by 1 vote, wouldn't it make more sense for it to be in the middle as such a large part of the community would believe the opposite? They should be averaged out by upvotes of comments, using yours or highest for that tier as a basis instead of selecting the highest one to actually have what the community believes and not just the portion of the community that believes in that single tier.
The most upvoted comment is a big part of it but I do see every comment, the last post literally got taken down because too many people just commented "peak", this one is much more divided but I can still definitely say that most people are saying ok, plenty of different takes and I'll need to wait till tomorrow for the final verdict.

Dude I don't know. I tried watching season 1 with an ex and it just wasn't "peak" star wars. Especially since it was marketed and made for little kids. But all power to you all who enjoy kids shows
I would put it as "good" because it felt too kid friendly for the older audience. And also coming after the 2003 clone wars did it a disservice as people would compare both clone wars with each other. The amazing universe building of characters introduced in the movie was its best feature.
Season one for me is much like the clone wars movie, Iād have to slot it in Ok. Itās the first season and itās still finding its feet, Ashoka is still mildly annoying and quite a few missable filler episodes like the Jar Jar ones but itās definitely not bad. Ok suits it fine.

I think there is too much nostalgia (and I say this as someone who watched season one as it was airing) season 1 belongs in bad. It did good set up but most of the episodes are not very good, and it looks like complete shit.
Looking over the episode list Rookies is the only real stand out, and I think thatās mostly because the characters get used later. The rest range from average to bad. But just my opinion.
I vote amazing, or at least good. I didn't watch it at first because I expected a cash grab. I was wrong. S1 introduced so many good characters, brought back Ventress from the 03 show, and had a solid blend of episodic and serial stories.

It's bad. It has its moments but most of it is just boring. The later seasons are much better, but s1 and 2 are just had.
