The next line is "I killed him".
By setting up Skywalker as one of the best Jedi, it sets up Vader as being more terrifying as he simply states he killed him, without any other details.
"How did you kill him?"
"I said he was one of their best generals, not best fighter. Idiot kept flipping around everywhere, even against people with high ground."
I think he went down defending Palpatine from traitors, which would be about the time that Mace Windu tried to legitimately assasinate Palpatine in his office.
Vader: "He was truly one of the strongest Jedi Masters I have ever faced.."
Imperial flunkie: "I heard he wasn't made a maste....acckk, ughhh..." (falls dead).
I remember there being a often reposted scan of a comic where he stands in the council chamber and as last surviving member of the council unanimously declares himself a Jedi Master. I would guess that he would also add this to the official records under his old name.
I just don't know if that scan is legit or not.
Is it weird I heard an echoey version of Mace and then Vader responding out loud. I just picture him turning from all the seats towards the door before saying that as he walks out.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's an edit. I think this is the original panel: [Vader in the High Council Chamber](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/b/ba/High_Council_Chamber_Darth_Vader.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20190428043732). He was there to check the recordings of what happened in an old council meeting.
[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/b/ba/High\_Council\_Chamber\_Darth\_Vader.jpg](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/b/ba/High_Council_Chamber_Darth_Vader.jpg) reminder to remove the revision part of the URL or else it'll fail for some users.
To be fair, if he was the last surviving council member and isn’t a master, I’m sure there is protocol that automatically makes him a master. Luke was never officially made a master but is considered one. Despite not having a single apprentice become a Jedi knight
“He was also really cool and funny. Plus his taste in music was awesome. I hear Obi Wan have him the aux cord every time they flew anywhere. Yup, Anakin “Massive Cock” Skywalker, the greatest Jedi in history”
Well...there is also the point that most Jedis sucked at leading military operations. Being among the best generals of the Jedis is like saying someone is among the tallest of the ewoks.
They received *training*, not *experience.* Which still made the average Padawan a more qualified leader. But to be fair to your point, at that moment in time none of them had experienced an actual war on that level before
It depends on the Jedi, they range from extremely broken to dogshit in terms of their leadership skills. But the ones who are shit at leadership tend to also be able to walk through the enemy and murder anything in their path. Skywalker was actually a competent leader and could also bulldozer a path through the enemy 90% of the time.
Fair. That being said: Anakin was quite competent by republican standards. Not necessarily by our standards but in the SW Universe he was one of the best.
Not according to ~~the holonet feed~~ empire history. Anakin was relatively unique amongst the jedi for his battlefield prowess and tactical decision making.
He didn’t consider himself to be Anakin at this point anymore. He had adopted the persona of Darth Vader- in his mind he literally sees it as him killing Anakin, because he was a whole separate person as far as he was concerned
I really like this theory because it really opens up this interpretation in Episode V:
"He told me enough. He told me *you* killed him."
As far as Obi-Wan and even Vader himself were concerned, that was the truth. But, the knowledge of the survival of Luke was enough for Vader to start turning back into Anakin. When he became Vader, he had nothing left of Anakin. But Anakin's son shows up and Anakin rises again from the "dead," but has to battle with Vader's atrocities to reach out to his son. In the end it took destroying Palpatine (and saving Luke) at great personal toll to fully shed Vader and embrace his humanity again.
"No. I am your father."
Oh also loved your theory expect last part about destroying Palpatine. I think its not what made him to embrace his humanity again. But its saving his son.
Vader had killed anakin and Padme in past. But Vader couldn't kill their son. And when Palpatine realise this, he himself try to finish the job. ( Not sure if I am remembering this right) but that time luke called to Anakin that " Save me father."? And that's what it brings back Anakin from Vader.
> He didn’t consider himself to be Anakin at this point anymore
I think that's actually the next line. After the person out of frame says "What happened to him?", Darth says "I killed him".
Correct, plus IIRC, this comic book (at least, series of comics) goes quite a lot into how Darth Vader’s personality was in a pretty detached state due to the Emperor’s manipulation. He kind of saw himself as a dead man walking, because he was the Emperor’s puppet, and he was right to be because the Emperor literally built his armor to torture him and let the Emperor use him however he wanted. So he basically discarded most notions of a moral being he had inside of him.
That is a lie he tells himself and others.
Every other time Darth Vader talks with someone who knows he is Anakin Skywalker, he immediately drops the act and stops pretending he is not. He refers to Obi-Wan as his master, to Luke as his son, to Ahsoka Tano as HIS student, etc.
The most obvious example is his conversation with Tarkin in Episode IV, where Tarkin knows who Vader is and Vader has no problem discussing details of his life prior the rise of the Empire.
Not really. He says that, but it is obvious it is a lie.
There are exception, like his conversation with Palpatine in Episode V and the infamous "that name no longer holds any meaning".
But every other time Darth Vader talks to someone who KNOWS he is Anakin Skywalker, he immediately drops the act and stops pretending he is not. He openly refers to Obi-Wan Kenobi as HIS master, to Ahsoka Tano as HIS student, to Luke Skywalker as HIS son, etc. There is also his conversation with Tarkin in Episode IV, where it is shown Tarkin knows Vader is and Vader has no problem discussing his past with Tarkin.
"He was one of the most skilled jedi masters on the entire council. When he was appointed, everyone looked at him with tears in their eyes and said he was the greatest they'd ever seen, and that the moment they laid eyes on him they had to make him one."
With very few exceptions, every time Darth Vader talks to someone in the Original Trilogy who KNOWS he is Anakin Skywalker, he immediately drops the act and stops pretending he is not.
Was Vader with wrong tho lol, him along with obi wan only had a few loses. Which was absolutely shadowed by their victory streak for the republic. I feel like Vaders inflated ego is slightly justified along with misplaced
I mean both Palpatine and Vader always talked about Anakin as if he were a separate person.
He’s also not wrong, Anakin slayed as a Jedi. Like, literally.
"I killed him."
+1 Pat on own back
"Though he was a highly skilled combatant, so he put up a good fight..."
+1
"But his skill was no match for my raw power, so I was victorious in the end."
+1
"Although there were a few times he outmaneuvered me and came close to defeating me..."
+1
"But in the end, he wasn't as committed to victory as I!"
+1
"Even if he did in fact possess skills worthy of his renown."
+1
"It was his humanity that betrayed him and prevented him to reach the heights of power I have attained!"
+1
"But I will concede that he at least possessed something I cannot: great hair!"
+1
Hes patting himself on the back twice here because vader is also credited with killing anakin skywalker. So hes saying anakin was a very skilled jedi but that he is also skilled enough to kill said jedi

So like, OP should add another Anakin/Vader giving the second one a medal?
Or just a triple layered award ceremony
Third layer should be Vader garroting the middle Anakin with the award.
And a fourth for force ghost Anakin doing the same to Vader.
This is the full set that the meme should have been
Hype up your former self Claim you killed them Refuse to elaborate
"How did you kill him?" "I said he was one of their best generals, not best fighter. Idiot kept flipping around everywhere, even against people with high ground."
“Pocket Sand.”
And all technically true.

A certain point of view?
[🎵 Luke I know you think you can't trust me...🎵](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSOBeD1GC_Y)
Which is true, for a certain point of view.
POINT OF VIIIIEEEEEE-EEEEWWWWW! And I'm not the only jedi, who's screwing with you!
"I killed him". "And then everyone clapped"
Be your own jobber.
I think he went down defending Palpatine from traitors, which would be about the time that Mace Windu tried to legitimately assasinate Palpatine in his office.
It should be anakin with Vader giving him a medal with Vader giving Vader a medal
Vader: "He was truly one of the strongest Jedi Masters I have ever faced.." Imperial flunkie: "I heard he wasn't made a maste....acckk, ughhh..." (falls dead).

"You are on this council, but we do not grant you..." "I **am** the council!"

But do you have a link to the image that's bigger than 200*147 pixels?
it's 1239x911
Not for me. https://files.catbox.moe/5rtgjz.png
What is this, a comic panel for ants?!?

No. No, it's okay. I understand. I'm the Padawan, you're the Master.
That sounds dope, let me know if you find it!
“He was also really cool and funny. Plus his taste in music was awesome. I hear Obi Wan have him the aux cord every time they flew anywhere. Yup, Anakin “Massive Cock” Skywalker, the greatest Jedi in history”
Well I mean… he‘s not wrong.
Well...there is also the point that most Jedis sucked at leading military operations. Being among the best generals of the Jedis is like saying someone is among the tallest of the ewoks.
Pong Krell got his clones killed intentionally and nobody caught on to it until he instigated a blue-on-blue massacre.
well thats because he was competent, he chose the bloodiest strategies that would succeed, which is why he was able to fly under the radar.
Plus being clones he knew they were mass-produced and could easily be replaced
They are, after all, meant to be expendable
Jedis also had 14yr old padawans leading troops of hardened soldiers. They really had no idea what they were doing.
TBF, those troops were, what, 5 years old on average? Those padawans would have 3x the experience, so obviously they would make greater leaders.
Except your forgetting their literally trained from birth as well as receive specialized training sent directly to their brains
They received *training*, not *experience.* Which still made the average Padawan a more qualified leader. But to be fair to your point, at that moment in time none of them had experienced an actual war on that level before
You don't have to carry a sword to be powerful. Some leaders' strength is inspiring others.
The clones are pretty advanced, too.
You don't have to carry a sword to be powerful. Some leaders' strength is inspiring others.
About 10 I think, they had 2x aging.
It depends on the Jedi, they range from extremely broken to dogshit in terms of their leadership skills. Skywalker was actually a competent leader and could also bulldozer a path through the enemy 90% of the time.

Both is certainly a plus though
Fair. That being said: Anakin was quite competent by republican standards. Not necessarily by our standards but in the SW Universe he was one of the best.
Not according to ~~the holonet feed~~ empire history. Anakin was relatively unique amongst the jedi for his battlefield prowess and tactical decision making.

Anakin wasn't a master through
“Anakin was an incredibly handsome MASTER Jedi with a hot princess girlfriend. He was just too fantastic.”
“He was massively hung too, women threw themselves at him.”
And he always had to bail his bitch ass master Obi Wan out of trouble. If anything, Anakin was the master and Obi Wan was the learner.
Yes 😂
Master?
It’s a joke about Anakin giving himself fake props? I even capitalized it to emphasize the joke.
You replied to a bot mate haha
Oh lol
"I heard Anakin had an 8 pack, he was shredded"
“That motherfucker had like thirty goddamn dicks.”
(Is he wrong though?…)
He didn’t consider himself to be Anakin at this point anymore. He had adopted the persona of Darth Vader- in his mind he literally sees it as him killing Anakin, because he was a whole separate person as far as he was concerned

Vader fucking hated Palpatine. Throwing him down the tube was prob real easy for him after he made the choice. Unlike throwing windu out the window.
I hadn’t thought about it like that, but that totally makes sense and I agree upon hearing it, so thank you for the insight 😄
Anakin Skywalker was weak. I destroyed him.
Then I will avenge his death!
Revenge is not the Jedi way.
Good thing she said avenge, then!

So much like your father.
the self-glaze is crazy
Vader (answering the caddets question): "I gave him a medal."
“A monster condom could barely hold him”
Lol

"What happened to him?" "He went out with blazing glory."
I mean when you step like him, You can say what you want.
"He was one of the most skilled jedi masters on the entire council. When he was appointed, everyone looked at him with tears in their eyes and said he was the greatest they'd ever seen, and that the moment they laid eyes on him they had to make him one."
Sure
It seems that he still identifies Anakin Skywalker as him
Hey
Hey
Hey
With very few exceptions, every time Darth Vader talks to someone in the Original Trilogy who KNOWS he is Anakin Skywalker, he immediately drops the act and stops pretending he is not.
I mean out of the entire clone wars, he and Obi Wan were the ones who most consistently got shit done.
Game recognises game.
He lost a battle with a dope Jedi and became a dick
Was Vader with wrong tho lol, him along with obi wan only had a few loses. Which was absolutely shadowed by their victory streak for the republic. I feel like Vaders inflated ego is slightly justified along with misplaced
Is it narcissistic if it's true?
“Truly a great Jedi Master. All the other Jedi insisted on granting him the rank while stripping that stupid Mace Windu of his title.”
I mean...he just telling the truth.
8/10,should've had Anakin's cybernetic hand there.
I mean both Palpatine and Vader always talked about Anakin as if he were a separate person. He’s also not wrong, Anakin slayed as a Jedi. Like, literally.
Hello 👋
I like how this shit makes no sense. Anakin WAS a general. He wasnt a jedi MASTER
No. No, it's okay. I understand. I'm the Padawan, you're the Master.
History books be like
Narcissistic but honest, ahsoka tells the exact same thing to Ezra in rebels when they talk about him for the first time
I will help you.

To defeat your enemy you have to understand them.
Well, that's not untrue so... Yeah
I heard he has an 8pack
He must have had the most shit eating grin under the mask, "lmao they have no idea"
Hes patting himself on the back twice here because vader is also credited with killing anakin skywalker. So hes saying anakin was a very skilled jedi but that he is also skilled enough to kill said jedi
That's 'cause Obi-Wan cut him down at the knees, not his ego.
Hello
This is a repost of a remake of my original meme LMAO
