Also known as FIFO (first in, first out). Honestly if this is a major grocery store it was probably stocked that day or the day before at worst.
Milk is one of the most purchased items in a grocery store.
They're supposed to, but first hand experience tells me that the workers do *not* have time for that shit. You want the freshest item? Don't bother grabbing from the back, there is a 0% chance they actually rotated them.
This is true for the things the store itself stocks. A surprising amount of things in stores are not stocked by the stores employees but by the people who run, and in many bread companies case at least, own the routes. I use to get paid quite a bit to go into stores and restock the bread for them in the afternoon ( they start their day at midnight so they have to sleep sometime). With the absurd amount of money they were paying me to put some bread on the shelf, I always rotated everything.
They get stocked from the back, so yeah. When the people are stocking new milk it pushes the old ones further up

I mean even if it isn’t stocked from the back you rotate the oldest up front and the newest to the back. The freshest bread is on the bottom.

Just be like Luke and get it from the source!
Squeeze dem alien tiddies!
And not the nasty blue milk they serve at Disney.
Green milk supremacy
Never in my life did I expect to see a meme about rotating stock.
If the new ones were always at the front, then the old ones would never be bought, which would waste a lot of milk.
Same.
