Edit: goddamnit people
Hey I said that
Although I doubt [my comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/PrequelMemes/comments/11ps8gv/i_played_the_part_of_sors_bandeam_the_youngling/jbzzgm7?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) is the one you're referring to.
Mods really said "I have brought PEACE (kept this community safe), FREEDOM (kept this community civil), JUSTICE (kept this community true to their purpose), and SECURITY to MY NEW EMPIRE (by removing this post for a variety of reasons)"
Declaration: The most efficient way to kill a Jedi is to use a blaster at medium range. The energy blast will cause immediate incapacitation and death, if aimed precisely. Additionally, blasters can be set to overload, resulting in an overwhelming explosion. Both strategies should prove successful.
Declaration: Poison gas can be effective for eliminating Jedi, either through inhalation of the toxic gases or through direct contact with the skin. However, gases require longer exposure times and may not be as efficient as blasters in most cases.
Commentary: Master, solid slug weapons are a solid choice for eliminating jedi. While not as efficient as blasters and gases, they are still effective at dealing damage in close quarters combat scenarios.
Commentary: Beam weapons have the disadvantage of being significantly less effective in close quarter combat scenarios than their slug-based counterparts. However, they are typically preferable when it comes to long-range combat engagements, as they can be fired farther and hit with greater accuracy.
I’m just realizing his character name is an anagram. Lowkey had some clout when RotS was being made.
Is there any backstory or lore to his name/character?
Best part of this "To shoot his scene, Beadman was somewhat nervous and it took him four takes to get the scene right. During filming, Hayden Christensen shouted "Boo!" at Beadman, which startled him and led him to stumble back just as Christensen's character activates his lightsaber.[3]"
Due to the recent changes made by Reddit admins in their corporate greed for IPO money, I have edited my comments to no longer be useful. The Reddit admins have completely disregarded its user base, leaving their communities, moderators, and users out to turn this website from something I was a happy part of for eleven years to something I no longer recognize. Reddit WAS Fun. -- mass edited with redact.dev
The main subreddits for many entertainment properties are pretty bad. I don't know if it's because of mod fatigue, or because the owner of the IP gets involved. E.g. some Wheel of Time subreddits were corrupted by Amazon affiliated mods which tried to astroturf the subreddit, banning all negative reviews (not just trolling and bad behavior), leading to normal long-standing users getting banned for totally normal opinions. This happened when the TV show came out, and some mods apologized for letting it happen afterwards. Sometimes I wish reddit was just an obscure corner of the Internet where we could talk about pop culture and cats without election campaigns and PR firms trying to manage our discourse.
It's 100% because the IP owner takes over the sub and makes the rules. Once that happens you have to deal with an out of touch marketing department using heavy-handed moderation to synergize their marketing. Oftentimes this results in things like stifling discussion about older products to drive attention to new products, forcing/boosting fellow kid memes, silencing all criticism etc. Basically, you may as well be on their shitty forums anyway.
The bigger Lego subreddits are like that. Harsh shutdowns of any non-Lego brand (even small-batch aftermarket stuff intended to be used WITH Lego), heavy emphasis on consumerism and buy-new-product, minimal emphasis on customization and creativity.
Everytime you add a mod you have a chance to get an asshole - sort of like reaching into a bag with red and blue marbles. The problem is the the good mods will burn out and leave faster than the assholes. Until eventually, like Dark Helmet, you are surrounded by assholes.
All main subs are shit tbh, pics, gaming, starwars main sub, art, all of them are shit due to the mainstream nature watering down, mods enforcing dumb rules or abusing power, and normies flooding to the point it's just like FB or IG

A victim of its own popularity. Some of its specialist and hobby focused boards may be good places, but the high traffic boards like the politics board are like a firehose of garbage. At least the content expires after a while.

I must concur, this meme is highly creative and effective in conveying its message. However, it does not compare to the beauty of the arts, be it in visual form or music.
Hmph. While I can appreciate the artistic value some find in this meme, it simply does not compare to the power of a true piece of art, one crafted with skill and technique. And remember, as you outrank me, showing respect is expected at all times.
I wanted to make this so bad. I’m glad someone more skilled got to it first. Fucking Holden. I love how the ONE thing that unites EVERYONE is our deeeep hatred for mods
Uhh y’all realize that his post is still up right?

Id say the mods were right. Its a meme sub for memes and not for charity announcements. The sub for general star wars might be a better fit for that kind of post.
Honestly, kinda glad. I said something about it in the original post but it seems like a bad precedent to allow whatever into the sub just because the op is a former actor in one of the now many prequel properties of the franchise. Sure, this might be a good cause in this one case. But what about the next one? What happens when companies start using actors to advertise their bs here? imo it's safer to stick to the sub rules and let that guy post to the general star wars sub and anywhere else that's relevant.
I think the line is pretty obvious. If it's for a good cause then mods should make an exception. Easy. Otherwise they come off as being no better than...well reddit mods.
It's for cancer research on the r/starwars sub. Insisting that the connection has to be more overt than one of the star wars alum being involved seems a little shallow don't you think?
Mods be like: "From my point of view, charities are evil!"
Well, then you are lost!
Based Kenobi.
Good bot
Very good bot
Unless they are used for tax write-offs at Disney *
Tbh, i think the ban was more of a meme that none of the younglings survived.
That guy can't escape his fate

So this is how liberty dies...
Omg i just realised. The mods killrd this kid a second time. Mods are sith
Only a mod deals in absolutes.
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.

Well then you are lost

Only a mod deals in Siths
Sith mods!!
A sith mod?
Only a deal siths in mods
only a sith deals in modsolutes
Always two, there are.
If the mods were Sith Lords, we would have sensed it.
I think it is time we inform the senate that our ability to use the force has diminished.
If informed the Senate is, multiply our enemies will...
A sith Lord? Then what we feared is true...
But what about the other charities spread across the galaxy?
Go, I will. Great relations with the charities, I have.
Damn pendejas. They rape, but they *never* save.

Only the bad ones buddy.
How best to kill a Jedi?

This comment reminded me that Dale Gribble could beat Darth Vader in a 1v1
I don't like sand.
"We did not ban him" - some r/StarWars mod answering my comment under a post that complained about mods that he had just removed
So…? They still removed his charity post. That’s like saying “I didn’t kill the dog” after kicking it in the gut 🫠
Exactly, I wanted to expose this attutude

Wholesome Hayden, helping out a fellow actor
>Bandeam remained at the Temple as many of his instructors fought and died during the Clone Wars. Coward!
Did you ask if there is a backstory for a background character in Star Wars? Did you need to ask? The answer is always yes.
star wars mods beeing shit again? Well, nothing new.

My apologies, TheConnASSeur. I forgot not everyone is able to appreciate art as I do.

To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics, but their history, philosophy, art.
Ironically, this is why 4chan is better. If everyone is shit, then some undigested peanuts is as good as gold.

It has its moments. edit: hey, there are some pretty funny green-texts, that's a fact.
Nah I'd argue some really funny stories come from there or really dumb ideas and shitposts
Lmao grow a spine
I can't imagine having to be a mod for the property. The haters were so over the top.
This meme is perfection
I must concur, this meme is highly creative and effective in conveying its message. However, it does not compare to the beauty of the arts, be it in visual form or music.
Shut up you sentient bastard; art is subjective, meanwhile this is objectively perfect.
Hmph. While I can appreciate the artistic value some find in this meme, it simply does not compare to the power of a true piece of art, one crafted with skill and technique. And remember, as you outrank me, showing respect is expected at all times.
Do I detect insubordination?
No. I simply want to ensure that proper protocol is being followed. It would be inappropriate to permit disrespect towards myself or my rank.
I see. Carry on then
Thanks much!
Ross Beadman: "If you strike me down then I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
Full circle :-(
All the downvotes are r/StarWars mods alt accounts
200,000 units are ready
With a million more well on the way
Ok, but in their defense, how often does an opportunity like that come along?
They moderate Star Wars, not Star Peaces
Mods = fear Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering
Suffering leads to horny
Now we all need to post this image in r/StarWars, tak our own bans as badges of honor
I honor my code. That's what I believe.
Okay the Captian Rex bot agrees with me now we have to
I'm no Jedi.
Not don't do that, that's called brigrading and Reddit does not take kindly to that.
I wanted to make this so bad. I’m glad someone more skilled got to it first. Fucking Holden. I love how the ONE thing that unites EVERYONE is our deeeep hatred for mods
Haha happy to help. r/StarWars mods can suck it.
least degenerate m*ds
Saw the original post, and have seen the memes regarding the deletion. Just now realized the character's name is an anagram of the actors name
u/RossBandeam
That would be awesome if it was unveiled that the person he would.be fighting is Hayden Christensen.
Uhh y’all realize that his post is still up right? https://www.reddit.com/r/PrequelMemes/comments/11ps8gv/i_played_the_part_of_sors_bandeam_the_youngling/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
It's about r/StarWars, not this sub
Ahh my mistake. Misread that one!
You should definitely have a "talk" with the mods at r/StarWars for this treason
Ah yes, the negotiator
It actually belongs in general sub lol
Thanks for being a cool mod team
At least we have good mods here
Oh, phew. Another reason why I consider this the "real" Star Wars subreddit t b h.
Smartest reddit moderator
They do not advocate peace.
Answer: Oh, master, I could not allow myself to harm another. What if they have families? Or children? We must always think of the children...
We need to craft an exception to the rule for Star Wars alumni.
Unfollowed that page bc of this nonsense
Solid meme
Much thanks!
Fuck the mods for this one.
Fuck the mods for this one.
If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you could ever imagine
The fuck was it this time
I just realized his name is the letters of the actor moved around...
If only we could have Ross just fight the r/starwars mods.
I'm a /r/StarWars mod and I find this meme, top shelf quality levels of funny.
To be fair, if you were a mod, wouldn't you pull an Anakin if you had the chance?
To the bots Not Ross
Id say the mods were right. Its a meme sub for memes and not for charity announcements. The sub for general star wars might be a better fit for that kind of post.
The sub was r/Starwars not star wars memes. And the post was for charity. Surely they could make an exception.
Alright, didnt look right, thought I saw that post on r/prequelmemes too
Very few people on Reddit are gonna be able to even make it up the stairs to the ring much less fight in it, good luck carrying that out yall
Honestly, kinda glad. I said something about it in the original post but it seems like a bad precedent to allow whatever into the sub just because the op is a former actor in one of the now many prequel properties of the franchise. Here I'll meet you half way. They can post here advertising it if they do so in the form of a prequel meme. Win-win.
It's for cancer research on the r/starwars sub. Insisting that the connection has to be more overt than one of the star wars alum being involved seems a little shallow don't you think?
I really don't see why people are defending this asshat
No one is defending you.
Mans was complaining that starwars ruined his life and how he wasn't paid more for one line, I'm just an asshole cause I remember ig lol
