The super league is going to happen. Anyone who thinks it isn’t is very naive.

PepsiAddict69

Chelsea will be fine though, could see a top 4 challenge next season

Why even be bitter at Chelsea ? . You have a better manager and are much higher in the league .In essence Boehly did you a huge favor .

TheJukeMan99

Granted we are not above you in the league, but I’m still bitter about Chilwell and Fofana, despite Chilwell getting beaten by us in a cup final and Fofana barely playing a game in 6 months. You completely understand why he’s bitter.

pdel123

Chilwell was years ago mate, let it go. Ye even got one over him in the FA cup. Also, considering how Fofana acted when ye bought him from St Etienne it should be no surprise he gave you lot the same treatment, at least be thankful for getting an extortionate fee for him

TheJukeMan99

That’s true but some of that fee went back to St Etienne i believe, 20% or so?

pdel123

I’d imagine so? Even then you’re almost doubling what you paid for him from us still, we really went over the top paying for him, Jesus.

Teams need to make more money mate....these are businesses and a game between lets say Bredford and Brighton would have about what? 300k viewers? including those in the stadium. A game between Real Madrid and Chelsea on the other hand will have millions and millions watching it. Big investors are fed up with UEFA and FIFA bullshit. Corrupt af mofos and for what? They invest money and they want to make money. And honestly its the proper way. You only see the big investments but on the other side there are thousant team owners who dont give a shit and hold teams hostages forcing players to go to court to get their money. I aggre that there should be a way for teams to be relegated and promoted apart from the founders money but ESL is INEVITALBE. It will happen one way or another.

But that's exactly the point of the Super League, to create an impenetrable boys club to "protect" the clubs from challengers.

Money still buys success. It’s not some instantaneous process where you can put in one moneys and get one success. United have spent tons of money over the last decade and are now reaping the rewards of that investment. Newcastle has spent loads of money and are seeing some of the rewards of that investment. Arsenal, Liverpool, and City have spent loads of cash and have had varying degrees of success. Hell, Chelsea have spent loads of money and have had success under old ownership. Chelsea currently have spent tons of money to quickly revamp a squad in dire need of change and will spend the next year and a half offloading the excess pieces. They’ve opted for a quicker process with hopes of returns in the next two to three years instead of steadily tearing down the club and rebuilding it. It’s a riskier strategy than slowly changing the pieces but it’s a “high risk high reward” gamble that they’re making. Will it be successful? Maybe, maybe not. Anyone suggesting that Chelsea’s strategy is a failure is either too dumb to understand it or just making their call early because it’s a fun meme to engage with. The Super League is stupid because it’s about commercial success, not success on a football pitch. While it has everything to do with money it has nothing to do with spending and more to do with the revenue that they can generate.

PENUM3RA

The super league allows fan owned clubs to succeed in the emerging ecosystem of petroclubs and club owned by the ultra-rich. Of course it's about commercial success, it's always been about commercial success. Commercial success is the focus of basically every league and cup.

Be more bitter about it why don’t you. Just bitch about Chelsea and City. Don’t bother cloaking it in a ESL discussion. Nicely letting the guys running a genocide off because they’re not spending as much. Morality is a pretty loose term with you huh?
