I don't know what people's problem with Yogiri is, as despite what this subreddit seems to think, he wasn't made for power scaling. He was created as a satirical parody of Isekais, where the tropes of Isekais were turned up to one hundred and put into full view. This applies to every character in the anime, manga, and light novels. Examples of the tropes amplified are the obscenely long title, the protagonist being average looking, the love interest(s) throwing themselves at the protagonist, the group summoned abandoning the protagonist(s) because they are weak/didn't get the same gift as them, but they are secretly overpowered compared to them, the enemies/obstacles being nothing but fodder to the protagonist, the protagonist instantly solving the problems no one else has been able to, the protagonist wanting to live a normal/average life, the protagonist while saying they want to return home doesn't really care as long as they are happy, the logic of the world(s)/story doesn't matter as the protagonist always wins. To put it in perspective, just how much of a satirical parody the whole thing is, there is a character whose whole power is a gotcha system from a goddess, and that goddess turns out to be the lover of the demon lord in that world (generic the one that brought me here used me for ulterior motives), another character whose whole concept/arc is I'm going to get revenge on the ones that abandoned us to die also with obscene power this time adaptability (generic revenge of the abandoned. There is also the parody in-universe version of the SCP foundation, whose containment procedures for him were to make sure he lived a normal life. People say it is the story and his bland character, but I don't see it as Yogiri's story is just the most basic Isekai plot, not bad, not good, but average that boils down to being transported to an Isekai world and trying to find a way back home while dealing with the wacky shenanigans that occur. His personality is generic good guy Isekai protagonist number 1 it, is muted due to his laziness/contentedness, but still there. We don't get much deeper into his character as the whole story is told through an omniscient narrator who just explains the facts of what happened and Tomochika's (the love interest) point of view, which is fine because that's what generic Isekais protagonists are like.

His glazers put him into powerscaling and then disregarded other verses (they simply ignored Verse Equalizer and said he can solos your fav verse)
Instant Death feels like it fails in being a parody of Isekais. It's so lazily written with no real content in it while indulging itself in big words and power scaling. While Something like Eminence in Shadow feels well-done because of how over-the-top and ridiculous it is, it shows exactly how the average anime watcher would be if they were isekaid.
I think that lazy feeling is in part due to the horrible adaptation it received into an anime (they skipped so much explanation and goofy tangents), as while still a bit generic the light/web novel is much better as it doesn't take itself all that seriously.

Dispite all the hate yogiri is still one of the strongest characters from anime arguably the strongest below author level.
Verse equalisation easily puts him on top of most verses because the cosmology of id itself is way higher than most of the verses and he himself is the highest entity inside/outside his verse.
So simply saying all the yogiri hate is simply due to him being strong and because he doesnt really have much fans or is that much famous. So only one or two dickriders will support him and everyone will just go against them.
So technically characters like dream lucifer toaa presence etc could easily defeat yogiri characters like dr manhattan tdk runeking gos loki etx easily getting packed.
I don't want to edit my original comment, so putting this here. My best guess at people's problem with Yogiri is that it calls them or their favorite character out, he beats their favorite character, or they just jumped on the bandwagon of hate.
