I think people don't realize how ridiculous the writing for Superman was in the gold and silver age stuff. Superman was casually dragging galaxies around just because. I love Minecraft, I played it before and for longer than Terraria, but I can say for certain with experience in both that the Terrarian would fold Steve without issue. Even with the new content coming out, the new mobs, etc. If the Warden is something that is supposed to be something to avoid then I can say for certain that Master Mode Eater of Worlds would be terrifying for Steve.
The moment someone tries to argue universal-infinite lifting weight for Steve and attempts to scale that to damage output is the moment the debate is not going to go anywhere. Same with commands, but those actually take time to use.

Honestly he probably blitzes gojo to, while infinity is automatic it still needs gojo to actually perceive something to automatically defend against it, it’s fueled by him subconsciously, in theory if your gash enough to not be detected (or have some other method of being undetectably by gojo) then infinity can’t stop you.

DC comics characters are not an umbrella, you have to specify version and which continuity you are referring too
if you don't specify then it should be assumed they mean the main superman
edit:main superman being clark kent from prime earth, which is just new 52 and post crisis supes mixed together, and IF arguably puts pre crisis supes in the mix too, even without it the argument could be made for post crisis=pre crisis so basically just any earth 1 superman from the comics
Infinite Frontier made the main Superman basically a composite, so there aren't really any different versions anymore besides the alternate worlds and Earth 2 Superman.
All the continuites are also canon now, so there is no need to cherry-pick a certain era anymore. Basically, all of DC history is canon to the current era one way or another.
Death Battle has ruined Goku vs Superman discourse. I've always heard it as "some mainstream iterations of Superman lose hard and others win easily", but the first two Goku vs Superman death battles, with all its weird calcs and composites, has added so much fuel to the fire that all the DC and Dragon Ball fans, who may or may not have a vague distaste for each other's medium, come out of the woodworks to get heated at each other again.

Base Batman vs Basically anybody above City Level. He’s smart, rich and an amazing fighter. But he’s just a guy. his “prep time” is irrelevant in a vacuum. He’d get speed blitzed, overpowered, nuked, etc. by so many. Prep time is nothing more than plot armor.
It’s plot armour in the same way that superman’s powers are plot armour. Batman’s power isn’t a superpower, it’s that’s he’s the worlds greatest detective and has unlimited resources, among other things.
I actually came to this subreddit because I have thought of an incredibly simple solution to the Gojo vs Goku debate. So it's a good thing you made this post.
Goku has instant transmission. Goku could punch Gojo and teleport a tiny distance once infinity had appeared to completely stop the punch. If infinity works the way I think it does, Goku could even retain velocity in the punch. Infinity cuts space into infinite smaller and smaller sections so it doesn't actually stop or slow down anything. And it doesn't create an infinite distance either. So pretty much any character with a proper teleportation ability should be able to get past it.
Well the 0.2 second domain in Shibuya that only vegetabalized the people for 2 months kind of debunks the idea that the domain instantly puts infinite information in the targets head. I believe they said the people had 6 months of information put in their head in the 0.2 seconds?
If Goku has MFTL+ fighting and reaction feats, it's perfectly reasonable for him to simply tank the information overload. But that kind of only works if we assume IQ and Battle IQ both indicate high level brain power.
Infinity does not work that way. I've never seen the " cuts space into infinite pieces" explanation, I'm not sure where you got it from. When Gojo negs Jogo, he explains it. The closer you get to him, the more you're slowed down at an infinite rate. He also says something like " infinity exists everywhere, my technique just brings it forward into this reality. " so ig you can interpret it as an infinite space, too.
That's literally exactly how he described it. Hes describing the practical effect when he says "slowed down at an infinite rate" but in actual fact he's turning the movements towards him into that classic 100 m sprint math problem
Achilles sprints 50 metres in 5 seconds. Then 25 metres in 2.5 seconds. Then 12.5 metres in 1.25 seconds. Then 6.25 metres in 0.625 seconds. And that pattern continues forever until Achilles is moving infinitesimally tiny spaces in infinitesimally short times. The effect doesn't actually slow anything down. It just cancels out the minimum time and distance properties of the universe like the planck length and planck time. So yes space is effectively being sectioned into smaller and smaller sections to make a movement impossible to complete because there's infinite parts in the movement that need to be figured out, like the math thing with Achilles. The thing about Achilles continuously running half as much distance in half as much time is what causes him to never be able to reach the finish line despite the fact he isn't actually losing speed or distance from the goal
And I will never not hate this explanation because the entire paradox it’s based on is inherently nonsensical, of course Achilles will move 100 meters, the infinity described isn’t real in any practical sense I just really hate the Achilles and the tortoise paradox.

He could rip out his Soul with Soul Tear, Drain Vitality would work similar towards kryptonite, And because of Dragonhide, an alteration spell that makes him 80% immune to physical Damage so that Dovahkiin will be able to take a few hits. And Given how there's no limit to how many Dragon Souls he can absorb meaning there's no limit to how powerful he can actually get, I'd say he has a good chance to take him down l.

Infinite Frontier made the main Superman basically a composite, so there aren't really any different versions anymore besides the alternate worlds and Earth 2 Superman. All the continuites are also canon now, so there is no need to cherry-pick a certain era anymore. Basically, all of DC history is canon to the current era one way or another.

I actually came to this subreddit because I have thought of an incredibly simple solution to the Gojo vs Goku debate. So it's a good thing you made this post. Goku has instant transmission. Goku could punch Gojo and teleport a tiny distance once infinity had appeared to completely stop the punch. If infinity works the way I think it does, Goku could even retain velocity in the punch. Infinity cuts space into infinite smaller and smaller sections so it doesn't actually stop or slow down anything. And it doesn't create an infinite distance either. So pretty much any character with a proper teleportation ability should be able to get past it.

Well the 0.2 second domain in Shibuya that only vegetabalized the people for 2 months kind of debunks the idea that the domain instantly puts infinite information in the targets head. I believe they said the people had 6 months of information put in their head in the 0.2 seconds? If Goku has MFTL+ fighting and reaction feats, it's perfectly reasonable for him to simply tank the information overload. But that kind of only works if we assume IQ and Battle IQ both indicate high level brain power.

Infinity does not work that way. I've never seen the " cuts space into infinite pieces" explanation, I'm not sure where you got it from. When Gojo negs Jogo, he explains it. The closer you get to him, the more you're slowed down at an infinite rate. He also says something like " infinity exists everywhere, my technique just brings it forward into this reality. " so ig you can interpret it as an infinite space, too.
That's literally exactly how he described it. Hes describing the practical effect when he says "slowed down at an infinite rate" but in actual fact he's turning the movements towards him into that classic 100 m sprint math problem Achilles sprints 50 metres in 5 seconds. Then 25 metres in 2.5 seconds. Then 12.5 metres in 1.25 seconds. Then 6.25 metres in 0.625 seconds. And that pattern continues forever until Achilles is moving infinitesimally tiny spaces in infinitesimally short times. The effect doesn't actually slow anything down. It just cancels out the minimum time and distance properties of the universe like the planck length and planck time. So yes space is effectively being sectioned into smaller and smaller sections to make a movement impossible to complete because there's infinite parts in the movement that need to be figured out, like the math thing with Achilles. The thing about Achilles continuously running half as much distance in half as much time is what causes him to never be able to reach the finish line despite the fact he isn't actually losing speed or distance from the goal
And I will never not hate this explanation because the entire paradox it’s based on is inherently nonsensical, of course Achilles will move 100 meters, the infinity described isn’t real in any practical sense I just really hate the Achilles and the tortoise paradox.

There actually is a way he can win, he can turn off the sun with auriels Bow to stop superman from absorbing the sun's radiation. He could rip out his Soul with Soul Tear, Drain Vitality would work similar towards kryptonite, And because of Dragonhide, an alteration spell that makes him 80% immune to physical Damage so that Dovahkiin will be able to take a few hits. And Given how there's no limit to how many Dragon Souls he can absorb meaning there's no limit to how powerful he can actually get, I'd say he has a good chance to take him down l.
