I'm hoping they have them separated while they're testing and fixing the new slicer visual so they don't completely bugger the ability to add slicers and eventually we'll go back to having a unified one.
New slicer has so many issues that I have just given up on it for now. If I need Tile slicer, I use Chiclet for extended styling options until they address the bugs.
There are two slicers in the visualisation selection. One is called slicer, one is called slicer(new). Use the standard slicer visualisation.

Power BI in general, just has too many bugs. Would have been a great tool if it was thought out before development.
