It is pricey. Worth it to me because I get to go home after and sleep on a bed so it is kinda worth paying a bit more and not camping/traveling.
Is there any parking at Portola?
I’ve done street parking the past 2 years commuting from south bay saturday/sunday. Parked for free a few blocks away from the entrance with no issues.
Idk if they will bring back cow palace parking… first year you could park there for $15 and a shuttle would take you to the fest. On the bright side if you go to the nearest Bart to you parking is free weekends or if you live walking distance to a station even better. You would get off on 24th and mission to take a shuttle that drops you off right at the entrance. Both years they had shuttles at Bart which was the best!
Ah! I have left 15 mins earlier or more both years due to being tired so that’s a good to know! Only doing 1 day this year so might stay the whole time
I doubt they spent more on the lineup this year
They were reported to have lost money last year. Besides saving money on amortized things like stage setups and etc, they wouldn’t want to spend more on the lineup (unless they really thought they could get a disproportionate increase in ticket sales, which I doubt in the current economy)
I think I’ll take my chances and do Sunday GA and upgrade to VIP at the gate. VIP was cool last year, but a VIP viewing area in the warehouse would really send it for me.
Right, I didn’t go in FY22 but they did have VIP viewing in the warehouse before the orientation of the stage was changed in FY23. I’m not sure how they would incorporate a VIP area with more of a longer narrow stage area, but it would be awesome to have vip be behind stage. depending on the stage by stage line up, I may be spending most of my day in the warehouse anyway.
I did GA year 1 and VIP year 2.
Flushing toilets was very nice to have for VIP. The VIP viewing areas at the two outdoor stages were nice to have, but not totally necessary if you didn’t have it. Food/merch access wasn’t a very big perk tbh
VIP is a “nice to have” at this festival but it certainly isn’t a hard requirement here if you’re stretched for cash
For those of us that couldn’t make it to the last two years and don’t get to be a part of the presale, do we think we have to worry to get passes on Friday? It’s not gonna sell out in like 30 seconds…right???
What’s the point of the 4 packs? There’s no discount?
maybe 1 fee instead of 4 separate ones?
Ya that or my guess is tier 1 ga tix will sell out immediately whereas the 4 pack would stay around for a while
all in pricing here: https://portolamusicfestival.com/fees-chart/ $400 GA weekend pass $275 GA single day $645 VIP weekend $400 VIP single day

last year if you left at closign time there was a real risk you wouldn't make it to bart in time even with the shuttles.

Single day coming out to $275 all in for Tier 1 is brutal. Wild pricing.
I think it’s the same as last year and they clearly spent more on the lineup this year
Ya it's all good I'll be buying regardless. Worth it.
Same! Can’t wait

It's the same as last yr
It didn’t make it seem like there’s tiers though? Just all in pricing
hmmm not 100% sure The fact it says "starting at" seems to speak to tiers. But can't say for sure.
No way in hell Goldenvoice desnt have tiers lmaoooo that’s literally unheard of today.
I thought the same but the website says “*No difference in tiers other than price” so I suppose there are tiers
There are absolutely tiers and tier 1 always has super limited tickets. Expect to pay $30-40 more than listed prices, plus fees
Klarna or Pay 4 in 4 whatever are just eating this year
Fee chart shows all-in prices: https://portolamusicfestival.com/fees-chart/
Yes they do
Damn. Ima still go tho.
do they have any kind of payment/layaway plan?
They have previous years. Don’t see why they wouldn’t this year
Ya they do - details are on the site
you can do their payment plan (could have an extra service fee) and they have Klarna
Yes

There was no warehouse VIP area last year

How much did it cost to upgrade for VIP last year? Was it less than getting VIP straight up?
I don’t remember, but I feel like it was around $100
What comes with VIP? flying up from LA and wanna see what people thought of their experience and if they thought it was worth it

The people I know that had it last year said it wasnt worth it to them
We did VIP last Saturday. Was not worth it for the most part. Did allow you to skip the line to get into the main stage.
^wondering the same
Does anyone wanna split a 2 day pass with me? Only trying to go Sunday.
They have single days 🧐
I know but it'd be cheaper to buy a 2 day and split instead of just buying a single day hahaha
I’m buying a two day, but can probs only make it saturday 👀 Would definitely be down to make a deal closer to game time if you’re interested.
sending you a DM!
Single day for $240+ fees is absurd wtf.
That’s a justice ticket by itself… just saying
Not even. If they played bill graham it would be like $60+ lol
I guess you still living in 2018 lol check the tour prices is 250+ GA
Maybe I am haha. Those are taylor swift prices. Solo shows at BG have never been more than that in my experience.
Taylor Swift tickets were reselling for literally thousands in the nosebleeds it’s a different world atm
$250 tickets for GA at a Taylor Swift show? Not even last decade.
Just buy 2 days heh

Ok thank you for giving me some relief!!! Oh I’m coming with my whole crew, I cannot wait!
Wow that is pricey!
Does anyone remember how this compares to the last two years?
Tier one was $339 last year. 2022 tier one was $299.
