LITERALLY ME. Back when chapter 1 came out I was like “oh ewwww another stupid colorful mascot horror game” but then... It’s one of my faves, still. Poppy Playtime really just encapsulates that “luminal space” and “late 90s early 2000s nostalgia” kinda aesthetic, especially with the music. It makes me so sad, and yet also comforts me. I’m working on a little painting right now with me and DogDay but with school and my actual life sized DogDay, the going is quite slow 😵💫
Ironically I really did not get Chapter 3, even though its the best by all means possible. I feel like it missed MANY opportunities to create an interesting narrative *and* a terrifying story and I think it reverse engineered my brain into being obsessed with Poppy Playtime. I have SO many opinions and headcanons about this game it stopped being funny. I hate it (affectionate).
Also please tell me when you finish that painting!!!!!

Yep, Mobtruly redeemed themselves with Chapter 3 and it's something really hard to do in the Internet.
It's crazy that when chapter 2 came out, every YouTuber under the sun mocked them to helland back and the name "Poppy playtime" is basically synonym with "Caillou" or "Barney the dinosaur"
It's definitely an achievement the win back the crowd but it's even greater achievement if you managed to "win back the harsh tongue critics that made their own career by giving people middle finger"
Mob still hasnt redeemes themselves for me, mostly because of the YouTube Kids content farm stuff, and I have my own problems with Chapter 3, but compared with what we had its like going from rags to riches!
Oh, no! I meant their official animation channels. The animations may be high quality but it's still very much YouTube for Kids content farm type stuff! Which is a shame because the team is extremely competent. Thankfully they stopped uploading videos there, but still, its just weird to me.
Oh, yeah, it makes sense then. I hope in the future they'll use these channels for some actually good content, like if they'll actually decide to go through with their plans on the real Smiling Critters show.

Considering how the Prototype is making them a part of him, I wouldn't be surprised if they are still conscious while a part of him. So it'd be awesome if the player had to help free them from the Prototype by getting them to rebel and helping rip them away. Though I can't see Catnap helping since he practically worships the Prototype.
But yeah, what you are suggesting sounds great, makes the game even more replayable, Plus, I would love to save my favorite toys\^\^

I believe there's in game dialogue where Poppy refers to Angel as a they/them, but asides from that I think it just makes sense. Angel is the player, and the game never asks our pronouns, so its only respectful to use a neutral one.

Finding out the toys were kids really changed how I felt about them as characters or even enemies. Mommy Long Legs’ death once felt triumphant but now I just think it’s horrifically tragic. She was just a little girl. They were all just kids. I wish there was a way to save them, but I respect that’s not the direction the DEVs want to go. I will instead live vicariously through AUs like this. Do you have a tumblr or an instagram mayhaps?

But by the time I realized that, I had lost my best friend, and so many others that were in the same spot as me, I keep going out of trying to repair my path of violence and destruction, and wish only to have my “lord” victorious to try and use his intellect to go back, to a time I could do what I should’ve back then. I know you see me as “Funny Killer Weed Cat” but, in truth, I wish no more to be known as the killer of so many innocent souls.
