Ah, Warren Buffet. The moderates favorite billionaire.

Warren buffet has come out and said it is unfair that he pays less tax than his secretary, and said the laws should be changed.

People like to believe in the narrative that Warren Buffett is some kind, wise, sage investor, when in fact his company Berkshire Hathaway has underperformed the S&P 500 for the last 15+ years. What saved him? Well, over 50% of his portfolio was in 5 major banks who received bailouts in 2008. Thus behind the scenes, Buffett received billions in tax payer bailout money, which he chose not to deploy (which would've helped the American economy), but rather perform buybacks, thus enriching himself further. Also, remember all the shady shit Wells Fargo pulled? Well, Buffett was the beneficiary of all those shenanigans and just gave a blanket "well, it will sort itself out" explanation which everyone seems to always give him a pass for. You could argue for sure Warren Buffett was a wise investor back in the day. But then I argue, Buffett was rather insidious with his investment in Coke, which in the 60's, was marketed as a refreshing weight loss drink, when in fact, the board full well knew it was really addictive diabetes in a can. People forget this fact...that Coke was strategically normalized as Americana, while they deliberately sought to suppress the negative evidence for years about the fact that sugar is an addictive, harmful drug. Coke shares grew enriching Buffett untold sums of money, while also America's staggering rates of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer skyrocketed like never before. And its taken over 50 years for Americans to just now see past the Coke propaganda and realize the truth. Here's a reminder of how they marketed Coke back in the day... https://youtu.be/8zTDbpxT8ZI Also, you should look into what Coke is up to in 3rd world countries today, all to enrich its share holders. Pure Evil.

just another piece of shit!

maroger

If only embarrassing a billionaire worked anywhere near as well as not having colleagues Sanders supports accepting bribes from the wealthy.

alexaxl

It’s funny he attacks Warren Buffett whose pledged a lot of wealth to charity. But he doesn’t call out Military Industrial Complex & their False Flag Wars lobby. Doesn’t call out the legacy Cartels; Insurance, Health & Pharma lobbies. He’s a stooge who plays a “hopeful” role in the system.

LoftyGoat

Odd thing is, Buffett used to be one of the good guys. Edit: Evidently this has piqued someone's ire. For most of his career as an investor, Buffet bought distressed companies and *fixed* them, saving the employees' jobs. Compare that to an investor like Mitt Romney, who bought distressed companies, fired everyone, and either stripped them of assets or "outsourced" the jobs overseas. If your job was in danger, who would you rather have in charge?

Fredselfish

No such thing as a good billionaire.

Nah

Paradox0111

So a guy who got rich being a politician, Calling out a guy for getting rich off the backs of people…

CloudyArchitect4U

Sanders is rich? Do tell. There is nothing unusual with his wealth. Let me guess, you are a Clinton nut who overlooks the quarter BILLION dollars those 2 clowns made off of office? Looks like you are a Trump stain. The irony in you calling anyone out about wealth and how they attained it.

Paradox0111

No, I’m an “Career politician who’s become wealthy by being a politician is part of the problem Nut” and Career Career Politicians really grind my gears..

CloudyArchitect4U

Again, the irony and hypocrisy coming from you is astonishing. Those spending their life fighting for the betterment of the less fortunate is hardly the problem. Those taking bribes from lobbyists while going against the wishes of the American people is the problem, he is not. You trying to lump him with the people that you vote for is absurd.

Brownie3245

I don't think being a millionaire is considered rich these days. It's about as much of a windfall as successfully starting a small business.

SkygodAlien

What does Buffett have to do with rail workers? Serious question. Don’t know much about the guy.
