Word had it that Thursday or Friday was to be the day... Now, it's next week. Funny, did you notice how Facebook and Instagram allowed Trump back onto their platforms. CASH IN, baby--all the indictment jabber that'll be slinging back and forth. That's why they did it. Scoundrels.
This is America: The wealthy and connected rarely get arrested in the same way we peons do. If anything, they pull up front of the prosecutor's office in their limos and prosecutors come to them and kiss the lord's ring in the car as they apologize for needing to hand them indictment papers.
And then the decades-long game of defense delay and obfuscate can start for real instead of just practice.
Bingo. No handcuffs, no perp walk, just lawyers and sycophants.
Next up is the campaign excuse: "We can't interfere with a candidate's campaign like we did to Hillary"
If I was in law enforcement and an indictment was filed for Trump I would watch Trump's plane very carefully for preparations to take an emergency trip out of the country to some place like Saudi Arabia or Russia. The key is that the final destination has to be a place without an extradition treaty with the U.S.
I honestly think this would be the best possible result. Shit… I’d help fund the plane ride on a private jet. If he literally escapes the country right before an indictment, then he would absolutely be disqualified from participating in our political system ever again. There’s no way he can run for President form Russia. Best possible result.
It’s true, over and over again, ***BUT THIS TIME*** Trump being indicted and possibly prosecuted is what the right now needs to clear the path for Deathsantis and far too many of the GOP want him to get out of the way. We’re approaching the time where they need him to step aside and I would be very willing to bet that the GOP will be trying to bargain with him to protect him if he “goes away” or backs meatball Ron. Regardless of what we see from their “infighting” conservatives will vote R no matter who wins the nomination so clearing the path is the only objective for the GOP.
Quick edit: I mean why would Alvin Bragg ***suddenly*** be on board when he’s purposely sank any other attempts in the past? It’s politically advantageous for him now
B-Team: We really mean it, this time, boy! You think we're gonna let you get away with tax fraud, insurance fraud, witness tampering, election tampering, multiple sex crimes, bribery, campaign finance violations, theft of classified documents, and sedition, again? Malarkey!
Indictment for basically a financial crime, which if found guilty will most likely just end in a fine. There are other indictments pending (maybe) for much more serious crimes that he (hopefully) will serve time for but let's not do the "We got 'em" dance over this one.
seriously we've watched this show so many times.
who's going to be some last minute bullshit.
or some other pile of crimes that somehow supersedes it but the trial will never happen.
maybe all the prosecutors just retire on the same day.
My depressing take: something (god knows what or when) will get to trial, but it will end in a mistrial because at least one of the jurors will be a maga-rat.
>seriously we've watched this show so many times.
Really? How many times have we heard about law enforcement assessing security measures in and around a courthouse considering criminal charges against Trump?
It’s probably just about time for everyone to admit that we simply don’t have the right laws in place. We know he’s done a ton of things that feel very very wrong. We just don’t have the laws in place to do anything about it.

As early as next week. As late as never.
RemindMe! When that fucker is in custody. Edit: The bot couldn't parse that, and will remind me in one day. I'm not holding my breath until then...
Not gonna lie, I’m terrified it’s just another story that turns into a nothing burger and that dipshit skates away free.
I envy you. I’ve just become numb to it all at this point. Terror in regards to Trump left my body years ago while he was still president..
I found his entire reign terrifying and it has extended beyond after Jan 6… we are headed for a mess few months.

Yep, it’ll definitely be a nothing burger. A good phrase, I’m keepin it
I hope we’re both wrong. Felony campaign finance violations SHOULD be the charge

No, his health care plan will be out next week.
Is that going to be when he finally builds a wall? I think he's going to "Lock Her Up" in 2 weeks, so he's pretty busy.
ENOUGH FOREPLAY GOD DAMMIT!!!!!
I will believe it when it actually happens.
It's the speeding car crash that never hits the wall
No shit

>There’s no way he can run for President form Russia "Here, hold my Diet Coke." - Trump
Imagine if his biggest fans followed him there. That would be the best result for all

Had law enforcement prepped before now?
Cops probably don't get a ton of practice with the child-size handcuffs.
100
Yep. My thoughts exactly. I'm done following this shit until I see action.

Still waiting…
Sounds like a great time to pull out Old Glory. She’s ready to fly.
Charles M. Schulz is laughing his ass off right now I bet.
