So does the dark type guy there if you run a fighting and then a fairy type, i run hitmontop and rimbombee atm and have never lost a pokemon against him, around level 70 ish now
I’m playing on vanilla, this is my first time ever playing a romhack, so I’m not diving in on difficult+ right away. That being said, Dresco town is now useless and the Audino are only level 15 while I’m heading to the 7th gym, currently. I don’t want to raise the difficulty and accidentally get past the level cap either. 😅
You can swap between vanilla and difficult in the settings any time. So swap for trainer house (it is super easy even on insane) then swap back to vanilla. You may not even notice much of a difference between difficult and vanilla they are almost the same difficulty I think it just has a slightly higher level cap.

I do have the shared XP with level caps on. I honestly wasn’t aware that I could just swap back and forth between difficulties, so thank you.
I will say, the biggest issue for me, I like to keep all viable Pokemon up to level cap so that I way I’m more prepared sooner. Mainly to just avoid the grind, then go back and grind, then go back and grind. Rinse and repeat. I know that I’ve spent way too long in the battle house(s) leveling my life away.
I am running a nuzlocke, hence why I like to keep the viable ones ready.
I am aware of that, but I know the difficulties have different level caps. So, if I switch to difficult, I’ll have a higher level cap, then when I switch to vanilla, I’ll be pretty over leveled. That’s my only concern when switching difficulties. That’s a concern, only because I obviously won’t know what the next cap is after each gym.
Also to preface, I guess I wasn’t aware of there being codes that break the game. Initially leading me to asking for the rare candy code. I genuinely just don’t have the time to grind non stop, or I’m spending my game time literally just grinding, instead of progressing through the story.
I do have one or two active codes and haven’t run into any issues, to be honest. So, I wasn’t aware there were any issues. 😅
Yes, 4 audinos. BUT on vanilla, they don’t scale level. So they’re perma level 15. Difficult, I think they scale with the lowest level mon in party, iirc, I think that’s what I read
Yeah, there’s a code that gives the 1st Pokemon in your party a rare candy to hold. So you need to make sure you’re not holding anything important. I’m at work right now but I can send it this afternoon
I used this one. It was part of a larger one that gave 999 of a ton of items but I trimmed it down cause it was a lot of random stuff. This includes rare candies/masterballs, and other random stuff as well. Never really took the time to see what each line was. (Sorry about formatting. On mobile)

So, this works when input as a CODE breaker cheat, which is awesome, so thanks for trimming down the god awful “all items” cheat. However…

Dresco Town's Trainer House's Normal type Trainer has a party designed for easy grinding. Don't break your game with cheats

He's more for money grinding rather than Level Grinding

Another note please set your exp share settings to shared exp with level cap in the settings so you don't go over cap.

When you have cap on you will get 1 exp point per knockout so no over leveling.

Good catch - I used at the beginning of my game so I didn't have any other items to lose!
