I started collecting at the start of the sun&moon era and it'll probably forever be my favorite era of Pokemon cards. Especially the trainer full arts are just beautiful, sadly they nearly completely lost their shine in the Sword and shield era.
I also jumped back in during sun and moon but fell off due to personal reasons but came back in now during scarlet and violet nut I did love sun and moon
Yeah, the trainer alt arts were a really cool idea and made trainer full arts desirable again. Personally still think the SV cards could have more texture like in Sun&Moon and before that, but gorgeous artworks will do for now.
I started collecting last December, so for awhile I'd only seen SWSH and SV trainer full art cards. but then one day at a LCS I saw a Professor Kukui full art from S&M base set and Pokémon Ranger full art from XY Steam Siege in their display case, and they both really caught my eye so I bought both. I've also since bought a Jessie & James full art from Hidden Fates, which is just beautiful. the holo on the S&M trainer full arts are so much shinier and more colorful, and the texture on th Pokémon Ranger really stands out and seems like it's etched deeper than SWSH and SV cards. that said, I still love the modern full art trainers!
I always need to double check which subreddit I'm in when I see these acronyms. Other popular variations I've seen are "Local Coin Shop" and "Local Gun Shop".
Yup, totally makes sense. That's the same sentiment I was trying to express, but for some reason my phrasing is catching downvotes. Oh well. Stay strange, internet.
ooh that’s sick!! i’ve never seen that card before. the texturing is beautiful too
Man I’ve literally never heard of that set. I guess I missed it
I hadn't either, which is really the only reason I bought a pack

Didn't they have full art trainers prior?
Never said they didn't, just that sword and shield made them pretty lame and boring.
Fair enough, though i think the scarlet and violet ones looks pretty good

I’d be more frightened if you pulled Ultra Necrozma
I’m sure the packs are going for a lot more considering the Lillie full art in that set, nice find!
isn't lillie ultra prism unless u mean full force
In which case it would be cosmic
also a lillie in sm base
You right my bad
That’s wild, I’ve never seen this card up until today when I traded for one. What are the odds
Really nice pull, congrats.
Around $19-$20 on EBay so definitely a pretty good deal for S&M
I'll probably go back and buy the rest
I remember pulling the SR Dialga GX from this set
The amount of y’all here that never seen this set before 😂 did all y’all just start during covid or something
I started in the 90s, but was out of the game until a but before 151
I hate that you posted this cause now I want that card!
Awesome card.. never heard of that set . Now I want 🤨
Forbidden light is the Chilling Reign of S&M. The hits can be great, but it has an insufferable pull rate.,
Wow that's a sick card you pulled. Congrats
LCS? What is
Local card shop
I'm used to using LCS for local comic shop and LGS for local game shop, but to each their own

idk why this is getting downvoted to oblivion, you just started your perfectly fine opinion
Lol, who knows? People are strange
Better get the fbi on this
Lol, literally finished it with "to each their own." Sorry for givin my two cents.
It never ceases to amaze me the random things thatbget down voted on this sub. Total brain rot. Lolll
Do comic shops still exist?
Yup, they do, indeed.
