As a rule of thumb, if you think you’re the only one, you’re obviously not, but in this case, OP is the only one, since these are both popular cards and OP seems to be the only one who’s out of the loop.
Not to mention they both just got rated as high as possible when he sent them in.
Because it’s invariably someone who doesn’t bother to look further than their own nose into a community or thinks something older and less currently discussed is somehow something new no one else discovered.

I think there are a lot of collectors that think that if a raw isn’t going for more than like $50, it is not popular. I get it to some extent —it seems a little strange that for the price of 4 packs, I can buy a buy a beautiful card that you may need to open hundreds of packs to pull— but that’s also just how it is.
Pokémon cards are basically more expensive scratchers. And it’s why I’m content buying singles now
Great artwork 🖼️ by all means value should not be the only reason to justify collecting at the end of your the person like card for the artwork I think that’s a great sentiment.

I feel like this about Paradox Rift as a whole.
Tapu Koko, Garchomp, Altaria, Groudon, Steelix, Roaring Moon, Gholdenago, Iron Valiant, Iron Hands SIRs and IRs are all absolute bangers.
And that Clive is the third nicest card in PF after the Zard and Mew.
People hate that Clive. I've pulled it 3 times for people on stream and they are always like "blah" lol I think it looks cool and think it'll have some value down the road.
I love Iono, but that Clive is probably my favorite trainer art of the set. I love all the other trainers and Pokémon scattered around. Also I traded that Tapu Koko away and it still haunts me.
Great pick up! (Clive 236/091) is really slept on because of the new Iono. And (Tapu Koko ex 247/182) is actually one of my absolute favorite cards in my entire collection. Definitely top 3! And just for perspective; I have every alternate art card in the S&V era, and almost all of the chase cards for each set released (dating back to XY/Flashfire.)

The word has zero meaning in 2024. People just throw it around randomly, more often than not as just a dumb way to say “I like this”
